Vacation Situation follows Frankie, an unemployed makeup artist whose life is pretty chaotic. When her friend invites her on a trip, she’s more than happy to drop everything and go have fun. Sis was definitely on the prowl! She was completely open to a no strings attached hookup. I actually loved when she met Theo. That man was not ready for her!
I loved Theo and Frankie’s dynamic. She wasn’t looking for a serious relationship, while he wanted all the strings and commitment. They definitely wanted different things from a relationship. Theo was willing to accept Frankie’s choices just to have her in his life in any way he could. On some level, that always hurts my feelings for the partner who’s willing to accept less than they want, but they’re both adults, and that’s their choice.
I also loved how, as the story progressed, you learned more about each character. I really felt for Frankie’s backstory. It helped me understand her better. Their chemistry was there from the beginning, and I was very invested to see if Frankie would open up to wanting more with Theo. I enjoyed that dynamic shift slowly through the book.
This book is super spicy, with lots of teasing and suggestive banter. It was definitely a fun read!

This should definitely be on the top of your summer tbr if you love a good rom com!! It was such a cute, funny, and SPICYYYY read that had me hooked from the beginning. I loved the dual pov of Frankie and Theo, so you really get all the yearning and swoony moments. I think if Frankie was a real person, I’d either want to be like her or be her friend lmao. Thank you to the author for the arc!!

Okay so I love the summer vibes, perfect setting, I love the friend group. I had fun with this one but I was super annoyed with Frankie majority of the time. She was very immature. I kept hoping she would change but 🙃
Theo? Love him. Love everything about him. Attentive, caring, and super sexy.
I love the he falls first trope but I just felt like it was rushed the entire time. So that didn’t work for me as much as I had hoped.

I loved this book from start to finish!! I’m really starting to love coauthored books. This was no exception! It hit all of my favourite tropes. The chemistry between Frankie and Theo was next level. I even had some teary moments and their besties were the icing on the cake to make this book top notch! Highly recommend if you want a quick, spicy read.

I really enjoyed Vacation Situation! I expected it to be a cute story featuring a shy but sweet heroine, but I was pleasantly surprised. Frankie is actually a confident woman who knows how to flirt and isn't afraid to go after what she wants. Even when she's faced with challenges and unexpected situations, she keeps a positive attitude and embraces every adventure that comes her way.
I also loved the setting! The small-town atmosphere was incredibly charming, even if it wasn't the main focus of the story. It felt like the perfect vacation destination, with a beautiful beach, cozy restaurants, and friendly locals. It was the kind of place that made me wish I could book a trip there myself!
Theo and Frankie's relationship was so sweet, and I loved watching it evolve. Even though it started as a situationship, it felt surprisingly healthy because they communicated openly about their wants, needs, and boundaries from the very beginning.
[SPOILER ALERT] I also enjoyed seeing Frankie slowly fall in love with Theo, and I thought the way her emotional walls gradually came down felt very realistic. I appreciated that Theo didn't force himself to stay casual, and once he realized his feelings were genuine, he was honest with Frankie about where he stood instead of leading her on.
Overall, this was the perfect summer read, filled with some of my favorite tropes. I had such a great time reading it!

When I first started Vacation Situation, I thought it was going to be a cute, lighthearted read. But the more I read, the more I fell in love with it. I didn't want to put it down! 🫶🏼
This story felt so honest, fun, and realistic. It reminded me of my younger years when life was messy, vulnerable, exciting, and full of spontaneous adventures. It captured that feeling so well.
One of my favorite parts was the friendships. They felt genuine, with all the highs and lows that come with real relationships. I was so happy Frankie and Theo found their way to each other. More than anything, I loved seeing Frankie evolve. Watching her recognize her own worth and realize it was okay to let herself be loved was so rewarding. And Theo??! He was constantly showing green flags! 💚 I loved that even though he had well earned money, he was perfectly happy cooking mac & cheese for Frankie. Plus he even leaned how to order Taco Bell on the app. 😆
I also loved all the little pop culture jokes sprinkled throughout the book, especially the Twilight and The Vampire Diaries references. They were such a fun touch and had me smiling every time they came up. Those were my jam!
This book balanced heartfelt moments, laugh-out-loud scenes, and just the right amount of spice perfectly. It also somehow convinced me that I now need a strawberry perfume in my life!!🍓
I also think it's so special that best friends Alex and Jenny wrote this together. They created something that felt authentic, heartfelt, and so much fun to read. I can't wait to see what they write next!💗

She's looking for a good time with no strings attached, while Theo is fresh off a breakup and definitely more relationship-oriented.
Their banter was so much fun, and I loved watching their vacation fling turn into something neither of them expected. 🍓
That said, the back-and-forth between hot and cold moments threw me off a little. Their character development also felt somewhat predictable, and I would've loved a little more depth from both of them.
Overall, this was a fun, easy vacation read with plenty of banter, chemistry, and opposites-attract energy. 🌊💕

I really enjoyed Vacation Situation and loved following Theo and Frankie’s relationship as it developed throughout the book. Their chemistry was sweet, and I found myself rooting for them from the start.
I was a little disappointed that we didn’t get to learn more about Sasha or see her story develop. I’m really hoping she’ll be the focus of book two because I’d love to see what happens with her.
I also thought the group of four people vacationing together was a bit of an unusual setup, but once I got into the story, the overall vacation vibes made it easy to overlook.
We also didn’t get to know Max all that well, but he seemed like such a fun character. I’m hoping he gets his own book someday—especially if it involves his boss, because I think that could make for a really entertaining romance.

Vacation Situation is a romcom that takes place in Carmelita Bay with characters who are unashamedly themselves and an FMC who has profanity like a sailor. She’s hot and she knows it. FMC Frankie only likes one stands and no strings attached but when she starts hooking up with MMC Theo she’s in a world of trouble. Theo wants commitment and has fallen so hard for Frankie.
I am so excited to hear this is going to be a series because I LOVED our side character Sasha. She is Frankie’s BFF and stands on business.

Theo is a big teddy bear and Frankie hasn't had a lot of affection in her life. At times, Frankie's abrasive behavior threw me off with how easily she deflects her attention from others when she is scared or doesn't get her way. I absolutely loved that the MMC Theo falls first, and falls hard. Even though she’s completely against the idea of a relationship, he can’t stop thinking about her. What a writing duo, Alex and Jenny of Jenny Alexandra, have brought it with Vacation Situation. After reading Santa Cutie, I knew that anything from these authors would be worth reading. Now that we are into summer, Vacation Situation is the ideal read. And a He Falls First trope being at the forefront did it for me!
Theo is the epitome of the He Falls First trope because he truly wears his feelings on his sleeve. All thoughts and emotions are shown through the story. He has this dorkiness to him that I thought was quite endearing. And so well matched for Frankie, who is a take-charge, care-free type of woman. I loved that Theo loves. He’s the type who meets the woman and immediately imagines the wedding.
The banter was fun. The romance was sweet, and I loved the spiciness.

This book really was the perfect summer read. I can’t even tell you how obsessed I am with Frankie and Theo.
Together, these two make such a perfect duo. Their fast-burn romance was exactly what I needed for this summer. They balance each other out so well, and their relationship had almost everything I expected from this: the banter, the spice, the humor, and of course, watching them fall in love. Literally was all chef’s kiss. 😚💋

Vacation Situation did not believe in a slow burn at all!!! … it threw me straight into the tension and I ain’t complaining 😉
If you love a messy situationship, 10/10 banter, and a heroine who will have you LOL’ing, this one’s for you. Frankie is hilarious, but beneath all the sass is a story that really pulls at your heart. Then there’s Theo… drool and swoon-worthy, with a story of his own.
Loved the Playlists at the start of the book 🎶

I enjoyed Frankie’s brashness and she made me laugh. There was a (somewhat) hidden softness there, that made her more real and allows one to see through that tough exterior.
Theo seems like the perfect man. ‘Nuff said?
Bee, although a smaller part is absolutely my favourite side character, I hope we get to see more of her as the series progresses.
This is an easy book to breeze through, it’s a fast fun read that can easily come along in your beach bag.

What a fun romance book! I absolutely loved Frankie and Theo! Frankie was down to earth and totally herself! Theo may be rich, but he uses the money for good and helps all the people while also being smoking hot! He also knows how to help a girl out. If you know what I mean lol. I was rooting for them the whole time.
Frankie may be a bit much but she is cool. Especially with her BloodHoney69 account! Who doesn’t love Taco Bell and eating Mac n cheese out the pot? It’s a girl after my own heart!

Ate this book up, couldn't put it down! I LOL'd several times. It was the perfect palette cleanser for me after reading some heavier books.
Frankie is wild and hilarious. Allergic to commitment, daddy issues, lives life day-to-day and paycheck-to-paycheck. Theo is the complete opposite - addicted to relationships (and just coming off an engagement gone bad), addicted to his job, and money isn't an issue. They end up on vacation together through a mutual friend in the charming beach town of Carmelita.
When they say "he falls first" they mean he plummets and is down bad. This guy was ruined for her from the beginning. Things got heated pretty fast, but then Frankie puts a pin in it and then the tension starts to kick up as they both try to avoid the crazy chemistry between them. I was full on melting for Theo's "Hi sweet girl"😍
The romance was messy, the spice was steamy, and the story had me hooked!

Absolutely adored this book! Between the banter and the spice, I couldn't get enough. I really enjoyed the tension between the two main characters and actually feel like the two side characters had such great development too! I hope we see more of them in another book. The tension was also top notch, and I really love how the female main character comes to realize that there may be more than what meets the eye with this vacation hook-up.

I love when books play like a movie in my head as I’m reading and this played like the perfect romcom! It captured what I love in a good summer read and I appreciated the layer of depth to the characters and the way that they inspired growth in each other even as total opposites. Super fun read!

This book was the perfect summer romance, with picturesque small beach town vibes, a promiscuous FMC, a scorned MMC who swears he’s totally fine with just a summer fling (even though he’s a long term relationship kinda guy) and a whole lot of spice, this book had me both kicking my feel like a school girl and blushing like a virgin 🥵😏

This book is fun, flirty, full of laughs and packed with just the right amount of spice. 🌶️ If only finding a holiday romance like Theo was that easy!
It's the ideal easy read to lose yourself in while relaxing by the pool or on the beach. I loved all of the characters – Bee is 100% who I want to be when I'm older... absolute life goals! 😂 And Frankie? She completely stole the show and had me laughing so many times.
If you're looking for a feel-good summer romance with great characters, plenty of chemistry and all the holiday vibes, I'd definitely recommend this one! 🏖️📚💖
