Ten years of being Julian Turner’s submissive and Morgan isn’t sure she’s any closer to understanding the man she fell for after graduation. They have built a picturesque life for themselves, Julian as an advertising executive and Morgan as the executive director for a non-profit arts education center called the Loft. Morgan is deeply proud of the woman she’s become. But even in their play, in the games of dominance and submission they explore, Morgan knows Julian is holding himself back.
Julian doesn’t want his beautiful submissive to be tainted by the darkness that lurks just beneath the surface. He’s spent years building himself into the Dom he’s certain Morgan wants, hiding his deepest desires in order to maintain their relationship. But when Morgan pushes him too far, asking for something he’s afraid to give, Julian’s carefully stacked house of cards begins to topple.
Torn between the safety of what they know and the desire to go deeper than they ever have, Julian and Morgan must reveal their long-held secrets and re-examine what it means to trust another person, body and soul.

"Pose" by Becca Jameson is book One in The Art of Kink series. This is the story of Julian and Morgan. Julian and Morgan has had a Sub/Dom relationship for several years but nothing more.
They don't connect and communicate as they should which leads them to start to drift apart. But Julian didn't want to taint Morgan in his darkness but for them to go further to move forward they will both have to start letting go.
Hot Story line for sure.

I really enjoyed Pose by Becca Jameson and Paige Michaels. It is about a couple who can together after Morgan graduated from high school. Julian was a Dom and he taught her everything about being a submissive. But he had a secret and tried to keep her safe from it but she wanted all of him, his secret included... There was a lot of BDSM in the book..

Passion and love... and mind-blowing heat! 💞💖💞

Morgan has been Julian's sub for ten years now but things are reaching the breaking point for her because of their lack of communication, in and out of the bedroom. They love each other but they aren't sharing things and that is causing a huge issue with trust, on both sides. For any relationship to work, it takes trust, love, and communication but in a D/s setting it is that much more important. The question for these two is whether they can share everything that is bothering them or not. 💕💗😢💕

This book deals with the BDSM lifestyle and it's many, many variations so if that's not for you, don't read this book. 😉

I received a free copy of this book via the author and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Hot and steamy! I really enjoyed this one and did not want to put it down. Shhhhhhh..... I may have read longer than I should have. Julian and Morgan have been together for 10 years. Communication is needed in BDSM... right? Well, they do not seem to be communicating much. This book is about them growing apart and hitting bottom in order to really reconnect. It is a bit different then normal, because they are already together. There were moments that I really wanted to smack both of them because they frustrated the mess out of me. Then there were moments that my heart went out to both of them. Overall, a really good book.

As with all books from this author, this is a well-crafted, interesting read. You get insight into the relationship from both Julian & Morgan - what they're thinking & how they feel. Their's is not a new relationship, it's been going for 10 years & each is thinking that the other is happy while they each live with their own insecurities. I struggled with this book. I almost stopped reading this book as I just struggled with the characters, but kept going knowing. By the end I was pleased that I read it & liked the way they each found their way to a better, stronger relationship, but even at the end I just didn't like the characters all that much.

This is by far the most intense BDSM book that I've ever read. It actual took me a long time to write this review cause I wasn't sure how I felt about the book. At first I was ready to stop reading and give up entirely since it was a lot more intense than I like, but by the end I was glad I finished, but still unsure how to feel. Julian and Morgan come to a "better" place in their relationship, but the relationship still didn't sit well with me, so that's why I'm knocking one star off. As for the rest of the story I was extremely intrigued, and interested in seeing where the rest of the series goes, especially with Luke in the next book.

Phew, I needed to think about this book for a few days before writing the review. I honestly did not like any of the characters. Julian was an asshole and Morgan was a total doormat. I also think that Morgan being so desperate and young when she first encountered Julian set her up to be so deeply bonded to Julian, even when he was awful to her. Lastly, the sex between them just seemed so painful. There was never any joy or love to it...just pain and dominance. I guess this series is not for me.

Julian and Morgan's ten year D/s relationship is at a critical juncture. Neither one of them is getting what they truly want or need from the other. She's pulling away from him by refusing to talk about what's troubling her. He doesn't want to burden her with his very dark desires. It takes an unexpected incident and a threat to finally make them both realize what's important - they are each other's most prized possession.

No where else but in Becca Jameson's erotic/BDSM books do you get the down and dirty, nitty gritty, real life look of alternate lifestyles and viewpoints. She had a lack for turning what could be perceived as deviance and unhealthy behaviors into an in-depth look at a person's motivations, hidden desires, and earnest yearnings for something that most will never understand! Truly thought provoking look into one couple's LTR, fears and hopes.

My biggest issue is I'm really not a fan of calling my lover (insert any other name in there) " daddy". But the story was great. Just couldn't handle the "daddy" and I'm not fully into the whole "I call the shots even outside the bedroom"

Too dark

It was good writing but the story was too dark for me. I want love and affection. This shows the hard side of bdsm. As I said good writing but not for me.
