“The days and weeks were long; the c*cks, longer.”

Call Girl Confidential by Blue-Eyed Kayla Jade drops you straight into a world that feels glossy on the surface but messy underneath, following a young woman navigating sex work, social media, motherhood and the strange performance of being seen but not really known. It’s bold, cheeky, and at times surprisingly vulnerable, like scrolling through someone’s curated feed and suddenly stumbling on the truth behind it.

What I loved most is how readable it is. Kayla’s voice feels like a late night overshare from a friend who’s had one too many drinks, funny, sharp, a little chaotic, but also cutting straight to something real. There’s a strong sense of control in how the story is told, even when the author’s life feels anything but.

It doesn’t shy away from the complicated stuff either, power, agency, loneliness, and the blurred lines between empowerment and exploitation. While it absolutely leans into the glam and drama (because yes, we want that), there’s an undercurrent of “what does this cost?” running through it.

Is it subtle? Not particularly. But honestly, that’s part of the appeal. It’s loud, addictive, and just a little bit provocative, like the literary equivalent of a neon flashbulb going off right in your face.

If you’re in the mood for something fast paced, a little scandalous, and packed with personality, this one’s a very fun ride.

I Highly Recommend.

IMPORTANT: definitely a read for 18+ and I won’t be giving this a rating as it is a memoir and I feel icky giving someone a rating out of 5 when it is literally their life story.

Call Girl Confidential is the highly anticipated memoir from sex-positive influencer Blue Eyed Kayla Jade.

The honesty and openness that Kayla pours into her writing is so evident. Having watched a few of her TikToks in the past, and listened to her podcast, it is clear this book is an extension of those medias. Her voice is so very prominent, and it reads as though she is simply sitting in front of you telling you about crazy experiences from her life.

And they are CRAZY. Whew! The life this woman has lived is beyond comprehension. The parties she’s attended, the people she has met and damn, the money she has made (!!) blew me away.

However, what stuck with me the most was how grounded Kayla is. Yes, she has lived this extravagant, high-speed, high-risk lifestyle, but the moments she cherishes the most are those with her family unit. You can tell she is fantastic at compartmentalising, because reading about her escapades as a sex worker and then jumping to her life as a mum- they’re absolutely two wildly different people.

One note, Kayla is very open about having ADHD and this is definitely reflected in the writing style. Sometimes the narrative was not very cohesive and some experiences Kayla was describing felt unfinished- but I felt as though this enhanced the reading experience and showed you a glimpse into her mind.

You will not want to miss this release, quite possibly the most entertaining and jaw dropping memoir I have ever read. I am so appreciative to Kayla Jade for how forthright she is in her storytelling, because you will have the time of you LIFE reading her book.

Thank you so much Simon & Schuster for the ARC 🩷

I was so excited to receive an ARC of this book. Like most people I was super excited to get my hands on an early copy of this book and see what her line of work is all about. Kayla Jade quite literally bares it all and gives us a look into her lifestyle.

First of all this is a very sex and body positive book which I applaud! Even though it is 2026 we are still seeing women shamed for these things and it was so great to read a book that was so openly candid about it all.

You could really see Kayla’s personality shine through and the casual way it was written felt like she was sitting right there with you talking away.

For me personally, it just doesn’t resonate with me as I hoped it would. Some parts fell a bit flat for me and some of the anecdotes felt more surface-level than reflective. I think what I was hoping for was a bit more introspection alongside the humour and honesty.

That said, readers who enjoy very candid, tell-it-like-it-is memoirs, may enjoy it more than I did!

A big thank you to Affirm Press and Simon and Schuster for the ARC

4⭐️ - I was genuinely so excited to receive an ARC of this book and it absolutely lived up to that anticipation. Call Girl Confidential is the completely unfiltered memoir from sex-positive influencer Blue Eyed Kayla Jade, and it doesn't hold back for a second! It moves through her life with sex work, social media, motherhood and performance all colliding in one very public, high-intensity existence, and let me tell you… it's JUICY. You get the parties, the money, the strange clients and all the wild stories you'd expect from someone living so much of their life in the spotlight.

But there's also a much deeper thread running underneath it all. The more you read, the more you start to understand how much of this story is about control, visibility and the tension between being seen and actually being understood. It really highlights what it means to have your life consumed through an online lens, where people feel like they know you based on a curated version of who you are. There's this constant push and pull around identity and perception, and how carefully you sometimes have to shape yourself just to survive in a space where everything is public, but very little is truly understood.

Kayla's voice really stands out. It's genuinely fun to read and feels conversational, like you're getting the unedited version from a friend who’s had one too many drinks. She jumps between stories in a way that feels chaotic at times but intentional, mirroring the kind of life she's describing. And boy, her life has absolutely been WILD. Some moments are outrageous, some are funny and some are so blunt they make you stop and reread them. At the same time, there's a strong undercurrent of family, survival, trauma and identity throughout. She doesn't shy away from the uncomfortable parts either, including the emotional weight behind sex work, the complexity of agency and how shame and empowerment can exist side by side.

I really appreciated how grounded she is too. The way she talks about motherhood alongside sex work, the way she separates different parts of herself, and her honesty around trauma, shame and agency all add real depth to what could easily have been a shock-value memoir. She's lived this extravagant, high-speed, high-risk lifestyle, but the moments she seems to hold closest are the ones with her family. It's also openly sex-positive in a way that still feels refreshing, especially given how often women are judged for owning their sexuality.

This is raw, honest and at times quite confronting. It doesn’t try to be subtle, and honestly it doesn’t need to be. Some parts made me laugh, some caught me off guard and others were surprisingly emotional. If you enjoy memoirs, this one is a ride, highly recommend!

Thank you so much to @simonshusterau and @affirmpress for the gifted ARC.

This was probably the the funniest, raunchiest, most disorganized memoir I've ever read/listened to. Extremely entertaining and if you've ever come across Kayla Jade on social media, she 100% stayed true to her authentic voice in this debut.

I was entertained the entire time through, but definitely recommend this for 18+ readers because it is EXTREMELY graphic - which I guess is to be expected, but still.

This was interesting, but I feel only represented such a small microcosm of what sex work actually is. Kayla did mention some of the negative aspects of sex work (exploitation/abuse in brothels, human trafficking), but so quickly that it didn’t paint of accurate representation of how the vast majority of sex work is not young women making millions on OnlyFans and finding complete financial freedom. Like yes, sure, this memoir is an accurate representation of her work as a full service escort and OnlyFans entrepreneur, but that’s like saying that the life of a billionaire heiress represents girlhood. I wish this disparity had been better addressed.

This quote sums it up better than I could:

“Poverty, racist lack of opportunity/education, targeting of marginalized women of color, those with disabilities, or those who have experienced prior sexual abuse and emotional and physical neglect—all of these factors channel women into prostitution, which is the business of sexual exploitation. Prostitution exists because of the male demand for it, and racial and economic inequalities render women vulnerable to it.” - Moran, R., & Farley, M. (2018). “Consent, coercion, and culpability: Is prostitution stigmatized work or an exploitive and violent practice rooted in sex, race, and class inequality?” Archives of Sexual Behavior, Vol. 48, pp. 1947-1953

Now I knew this was going to be pretty juicy and full throttle as an avid watcher of Kayla’s TikTok videos and listener of her podcast — what I wasn’t expecting was how honest, raw, emotional and genuinely hilarious this was.

From the funnier, chaotic, vividly sexy and provocative moments that played out surrounding her career and experiences to the profoundly intelligent, interesting and deeply introspective nature of the conversations on sex, intimacy, shame, womanhood, motherhood, abuse and mental health.

Ultimately this is a memorable, chaotic, hilarious yet genuinely courageous story of a woman taking charge, having power over her sexuality, body autonomy and creating a safer, healthier, less stigmatised community for all women wanting to own their sexual identity without shame or guilt.

Side note— I still really wanna know how Peggy Sue is…

Well she was not kidding about this being one hell of a story. I, like many women, love Kayla Jade’s TikToks/Instagrams so I was delighted to learn more about her and how much her female fans mean to her! I’m not sure if you can buy this book in the US but the audiobook is on Spotify & she reads it. There are so many Aussie/Kiwi slang words she uses that I am afraid to google!

Insanely eye-opening!

I got far more out of this biography than I was expecting. It really highlights the ‘never judge a book by its cover’ idiom.

Well done for its blatant honesty.

I have followed Blue-Eyed Kayla Jade on social media for quite a while. I used to love her earlier content where she shared stories from her time with clients and counted her earnings, but I gradually lost interest as her content shifted in a different direction. Listening to this felt like a return to the content that made me follow her in the first place.

We took a deep dive into how and why she entered the sex work industry, how she balances her work with family life and heard plenty of entertaining and eye-opening stories from her time with clients.

I listened to the audiobook version, which was narrated by Kayla herself and that added so much to the experience. It felt less like listening to a memoir and more like catching up with an old friend while she shared stories from her life. Honest, engaging and surprisingly easy to binge in just a few sittings.

I just expected more.
The stories she included were mediocre, I wanted to know a bit more about her and her actual story, less details about mediocre sex with mediocre men.

Just fell flat for me.

I’ve followed Blue Eyed Kayla Jade for years, and one thing about KJ is she has always been unapologetically real. Raw, messy, honest, funny, vulnerable… and that’s exactly what this book felt like.

Call Girl Confidential was JUICY. I genuinely felt like I was sitting across from my bestie having cocktails while she spilled every secret and life story imaginable. The honesty around motherhood, relationships, trauma, survival, and the realities behind the call girl industry was what made this such an addictive read for me. It’s explicit, confronting at times, and definitely not glamorised - which honestly made it feel even more authentic.

I absolutely devoured this in less than two days because I physically could not put it down. Some parts had me laughing, some had me shocked, and others genuinely made me emotional. Whether you already love KJ or you’re just after a brutally honest, unfiltered memoir that reads like a conversation with your bestie, this is worth the read💋

Was this the most well written memoir? no, but it was fun! It was completely all over the place, but I think that made it feel more like a conversation one would have with their friend, which is certainly on brand. Kayla does not hold back telling her story of what it's like to be a famous escort! I appreciate her openness here, in both things she enjoys about her job and enjoyable moments, but also the dangerous and scary situations she's faced. Although I wish she did spend more time talking about some of the negatives and dangers of both in person and online sex work, she makes it clear that sex work is not an easy job to make a quick dollar, it can be incredibly hard and dangerous at times.

I liked how her individual voice shined through, as I mentioned, it's not the best literary work but I think her every day approach to story telling make the book better, and certainly fit the theme of being lighthearted and scandalous. I also really enjoyed how Kayla discussed her unconventional relationship, in a world so expectant of marriage and children - openly talking about how different her relationship is with her baby daddy than what society expects, yet how much that contributes to both of them flourishing is soooo important.

It’s sex positive, it’s raw, emotional and a small glance into the life of a sex worker. I’ve followed Kayla for quite a while and was there when the internet outed her personal life. What drew me to Kayla was the way she presents herself, her values and the absolute batshit stories she shares about her work and the crazy amounts of money people are willing to pay for her services from New Zealand to Sydney to the Gold Coast to China and the USA.

Her goal has always been to set her family up and watching that unfold has been an emotional journey. Highly recommend this one on audio as Kayla narrates the story. Once I started I couldn’t put it down!

After finding viral success through OnlyFans, Blue Eyed Kayla Jade became a social media phenomenon, opening conversations around full service sex work to an audience that was largely female and deeply engaged.

In Call Girl Confidential, she reflects on the realities behind her career, sharing the highs, challenges and unforgettable experiences that came with navigating ambition, motherhood and life in the public eye. From unexpected encounters to moments of growth, her memoir offers an unfiltered look at the choices that shaped her path.

Literally felt like a late dnm chat after a big night drinking and dancing. (Ohhh to be in my early 20’s minus the immense trauma) this book was wild, crazy and important, all in one go. I’ve always admired Kayla Jade for her honesty, her unwavering belief in herself, and her just being a total badass so reading this only increased my love for her. Kayla speaks about so many different parts of being a SW, both the highs and the lows, the blurring of lines, and the risks. She keeps it easy to follow and will have you wincing and laughing in one sentence alone. Love your work Kayla Jade, thanks for being a baddie and letting us learn more about the life you live xx will always recommend this for anyone wanting a spicy, rollercoaster ride that’ll make you gasp in horror and awe 💅💅💅

I am a big fan of Kayla. I loved watching her TikTok’s back from her money counting story times. I think she has always had a sweet, softness to her. Someone who seems like genuinely a really, sweet lovely human.

This book absolutely shows her vulnerability and parts of her life that I really enjoyed learning more about. Absolute props to her journey, her baby daddy relationship (which is just such a beautiful friendship!!), and her insights to her career and how she got to where she is today.

However, I got a bit bored by the client/heavily sex detailed chapters. I’m not sure if it was just the way they were written or just right book wrong time, but they just lacked substance for me. I found myself skimming the chapters a bit in the second half, losing interest a bit. Plenty of stories and experiences but the language used for all just felt a bit repetitive.

Still enjoyed though, and would rec for anyone that follows her or loves a cheeky “hope no one is reading over my shoulder” kind of book 🫢

3.5/5. This was my introduction to Kayla Jade. I was not familiar with her podcast or knew anything about her. Just saw this audiobook on Libby and thought it might be interesting.
While I certainly can’t relate to her lifestyle and choices, I did find her to be a very open and likable person (she narrates this herself). This just feels like a casual chat and was pleasant listening, definitely focuses more on the lighter side of sex work, although there are some more serious parts.
Will give a warning for language and very detailed (sometimes off putting) descriptions of sex. If that’s something you don’t like hearing, might want to skip this one.

I always find it fascinating to read about the lives of other people, especially the lives of those who are very different from my own. I love how Kayla Jade is upfront and not filtered about her life, but still acknowledges the parts that she prefers to keep private. Just forewarning that this book is quite explicit, however, I knew what to expect going into this because I had previously listened to Kayla Jade’s podcast. How she portrays herself through her podcast and social media is exactly what you’ll get from this book. It’s very Kayla Jade and I could hear her voice coming through each word on the page.

I ate this UP. (4.5)

Definitely a tough read to put down and I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it.

I went in fully expecting this to be like an uncensored version of the authors tiktok story times and that’s exactly what I got - so of course I enjoyed myself.

This isn’t a deep dive into the authors personal life and it doesn’t really add much to the wider conversation about SW, but it is funny and shocking and really REALLY interesting.

If you’re a fan of the author and enjoy her tiktoks, you’ll really appreciate this read!

Thank you so much to Simon & Schuster Aus and Affirm Press for the arc.

This was a fun and fast read. I really admire Kayla Jade. She doesn't attempt to glamorise SW, and makes sure to highlight the lows as well as the highs. She delves deep into the abuse and other dangers she's experienced in the job as a cautionary tale, but for the most part the stories are salacious, funny and often odd (we try not to yuck anyone's yum around here 😝). What really comes across is her love for her children. You can tell she's dedicated to setting them up for life and has a great head on her shoulders. Her and "baby daddy" seem to have a really cohesive parenting relationship. Overall a very entertaining read.
