Kim K Drops Another Page Turner

Y'all, Kim K. did NOT come to play with Folded. We have Shay, who is caught right in the middle of Kwame—the man she promised forever to—and Tafari, the man her body never forgot. It’s a 48-hour pressure cooker of secrets and reckless desire.

Kim K has a gift for writing dialogue that feels real—every argument, every confession, and every moment of tension felt earned. I went through a rollercoaster of emotions including shouting at the pages.

The tension? 10/10. The plot twists? Did not see them coming.

Final Verdict: A MUST READ.

Huge thanks to Author Kim K for the opportunity to read this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Ohhhhhh the drama

ARC REVIEW WITH SPOILERS: This book was drama from jump. Shay had me stressed out from her meet n greet in the gas station parking lot til the very end. And Kwame, my goodness…I was NOT expecting him to escape nor did I have the slightest idea his escape would unravel the way it did. This was the craziest love triangle ever and my jaw was on the ground!!!! I’m so ready for part 2!

ARC Review
Some marriages break slowly.
Others start leaking long before anyone notices the damage.

On the outside, Shay Hart looks like she’s holding it together. Her husband Kwame is doing time, the city is locked down, and she’s playing the role of the loyal wife waiting for her man to come home.

But the truth?
Shay has been unhappy for a long time, quietly pretending her marriage is solid while the pipes underneath it have been leaking for years.

Then Tafari walks back into her life.

The ex she never truly got over.
The man who reminds her what it feels like to be wanted… desired… alive.

Where Kwame gave her loyalty and history, Tafari gives her the spark she’s been starving for. And before Shay realizes it, what starts as one reckless moment turns into something far more dangerous.

Because sometimes when pipes leak… the pressure keeps building until something finally bursts.

Just when Shay thinks she can keep everything separate, a news alert changes everything.

She sees something she never expected to see.

Kwame has escaped prison.
And now he’s a wanted fugitive.

Suddenly the man she promised her life to is back — angry, desperate, and hiding in the very place Shay thought was safe.

Now all three of them are trapped under the same roof.

Kwame, the husband who still believes Shay belongs to him.
Tafari, the man who refuses to let her go again.
And Shay, caught between the life she built and the desire she can’t deny.

The tension in this story is unreal. Secrets, resentment, lust, loyalty, and unfinished love are all squeezed into one house, and every moment feels like it could explode.

And that metaphor about the pipes leaking?

Let’s just say…
it meant a lot more than it seemed at first.

💭 Final Thoughts:
Folded is messy in the best way. It dives deep into the complicated space between love and desire, showing how easy it is to pretend everything is fine while things quietly fall apart beneath the surface.

This story asks a dangerous question:

👉 What happens when the man you love and the man you crave are standing in the same room?

And trust me…

When the truth starts pouring out, nothing stays contained for long.

Authoress Kim k done did it again with this book because Shay gurrl was spicy science with her old flame Tafari. I couldn’t stand Kwame he always playing in her face and that not right at all and he supposed bro her husband . Shay gurrl had seen Tafari again and her body react because it been a while and when she hear his voice it was no turning back even though she was trying to stay loyal. Tafari to her word is a tongue assassin. He was her kryptonite.Kwame is forever on my bad side why you want her to stay loyal but he “talking” to LaMarcus (the guard) he is a leech.Tafari is crazy because he didn’t care that Kwame was back he minted that he want her even if her husband back and he want it all the time .It crazy because just when her husband come home and then her first love shows up and then the alert came out and they are stuck in the same space together. I could put the book 10/10 would recommend you read .

A twist…..

If you’ve read Mine Means Mine 1-3, then you already know a little about Shay. I loved Shay in those books. She doesn’t say or do much, but she’s very smart and calculated. If people really knew her, they would know she’s not one to play with. She’s held it down since her husband, Kwame, has been in prison. She’s had to be the strong one, but is slowly losing herself, which has her questioning being married any longer. An encounter with an old fling, Tafari, changes everything. He’s a little obsessed and doesn’t want to let her go. A surprise at the door startles her. Later, secrets were revealed and there was a twist I was not ready for!! I loved her character and this story. This was a great read and I can’t wait to see what’s next for Shay. Another great one, Kim K!

This was one wild reading experience. Shay was off the hook. You blew my mind with the situation with Kwame and Tafari.

I understand now how Tafari said, Shay didn't know who she had married. Kwame's mind was all the way twisted.

My feelings were hurt at the end. Shay was way out there!! She need therapy ASAP!!

No not at all

This book could have been done in fifteen pages. Rest all screwing . what a waste the series before this with shay was fine . you went back before that in this book and made a total mess. Should have left well enough alone. Now I'm hating I bought the other two books in this series. My fault

good but so many errors

I liked this book for the most part but it had a lot of spelling and grammar errors. I haven’t read much from this author but would try more books she’s written. Not sure if I will continue if her other books include many errors.

Folded is correct

At first I thought thus was going to be a whole love story gone wrong. But the plot twist had me in a confused and shocked state. However, it's a good story to get lost in.

well that was something!

Wow that was a different type of story. The most memorable scene was that dang closet scene. The fact that the author tried to skip over that little tidbit is crazy.
