Where does one start with about what I do? I’m a writer, but I’m sure you guessed that by now if you’re reading this, hey? What you might not know is I’m a little quirky, live in my pj’s most of the time and have cake Saturdays with my sisters every week. I dedicate a little of my time to taking care of my grandbabies and on the dedicated writing days I like to write an eclectic mix of romance, suspense and paranormal fantasy. In the main I’ve written gay romance but I’m branching out under another the pen name in the future, so watch this space. I’ve a passion for books like you would not believe and it led me down this path and now I’ve over 29 books released and heading towards releasing a whole lot more. The way my head is I never know where I’ll be headed next. I hope you’ll find a little joy in my words and follow me to see where the journey takes me and you. If you’re interested at some point in 2021 I’ll be writing under the name JP Paton which will be F/M crime and Fantasy two of my favourite things. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled

Kari has always kept his distance from Bowie, even though the shy omega pulls at every protective instinct he has. When work forces them together, Kari’s feelings deepen — and when Bowie’s boyfriend abandons him, Kari chooses to stay and care for him. That choice changes everything. Kari soon discovers Bowie is naturally a Little, though Bowie doesn’t understand what that means for them. As they try to build a relationship, Bowie’s insecurities and his ex threaten their progress, and Kari hides their bond at Bowie’s request. But Kari is determined: a devoted Daddy will do the work needed to protect the person he loves.
Kari and Bowie were absolutely made for each other, even if it took Bowie time — and a lot of healing — to believe he deserved someone as steady and protective as Kari. After the nightmare of his ex, Bowie’s confidence was fragile, and watching him slowly trust himself again was one of the most emotional parts of the story. Kari’s quiet devotion, his instinct to care, and the way he never once wavered made their connection feel inevitable. And the wider world around them — the PAs, the alpha brothers, and their families — stepped in with warmth, humour, and unwavering support, giving both men the safety net they needed. A story full of big feelings, gentle care, and a couple who fit together perfectly once Bowie finally lets himself fall. This was an MM story with mature content that was set int the omegaverse with a BDSM-like DDLB dynamic.
KARI'S KISMET is the sixth book in the Divergent Omegaverse series, and I absolutely recommend you read the others prior to this one. There is quite a lot of overlap, both in Drinkwater and the brothers themselves.
Bowie is the literal thinker of the PAs and has a traumatic past. He desperately wants to be loved, but doesn't think he is worthy of it. As for Kari, he's attracted to Bowie, but keeps his distance as he doesn't want to force anything. That is, until Bowie's "boyfriend" steps over the line and hurts Bowie. Then Kari will do whatever he can to ease Bowie's pain.
Although Daddy is mentioned in the blurb, it's quite light on the Daddy side. It is more about the emotions and relationship goals, not only for Bowie and Kari, but also how others can affect them. For Bowie, it was also bout having the confidence in his found family to understand they will accept him, no matter what, and he really is worthy of love.
This was a great read that I thoroughly enjoyed and absolutely recommend. 4.5 rounded up.

Merissa Archaeolibrarian - I Dig Good Books! May 15, 2026
Kari and Bowie’s story really leans into the softer, more emotional side of the series, and I found it genuinely endearing. There’s a strong sense of care running through their relationship, especially as Kari steps into that protective role, even while trying to deny what he feels.
Bowie, in particular, tugged at my heart. His insecurities and past experiences shape so much of how he reacts, and it’s easy to understand why he struggles to trust something that feels too good to be true. Watching him slowly come to terms with what he needs and that he deserves it, was one of the most satisfying parts of the book.
Their relationship isn’t smooth sailing, though. Miscommunication and outside pressures, especially from Bowie’s past, create some real tension, and at times it’s frustrating in a way that feels very human. But it also makes their growth, both individually and together, feel earned.
I also enjoyed the continued focus on family dynamics, with the brothers adding both humour and depth, even when their involvement complicates things. Overall, this was a warm, emotional instalment that balances angst with tenderness, and it’s easy to root for Kari and Bowie finding their way to a place where they can finally be open, honest, and happy together.
Kari and Bowie were so endearing, and they complete each other so beautifully, but they had a couple of hurdles along the way, some healing, and to accept that they are lovable the way they are. Deep past trauma plus a boyfriend that soon becomes an ex that causes mayhem are the main obstacles in Bowie way coupled with some needs that aren’t understood and criticised in the past. Kari is Bowie's dream come true, but he's afraid of loosing it and everything he’s accomplished. There’s some heartache, insecurities, misunderstandings, and the teasing between brothers that unbeknownst caused distress. It was also amazing seeing past events from new points of view as well as gaining new information and also understanding certain decisions that were made. They are adorable together, but they had to work on their communication, in expressing truthfully their desires and needs, as well as their insecurities. I also enjoyed the funny moments, the bonding ones, as well as the emotional ones. I was really happy they found their happiness and I adored the love and acceptance the family showed toward them. I loved the story, and I’m looking forward to the next adventure.
WOW! This author just blows me away with these amazing stories and characters! I absolutely loved this book! Bowie stole my heart right from the beginning! I knew he was a sweetheart but this really brought it all out. Kari is absolutely perfect for him! I loved how patient, kind, and caring he was of Bowie! Not counting protective! These two balanced each other perfectly. I loved seeing Bowie come out of his shell some as he grew more confident in their relationship. Knowing his friends/family wouldn’t judge him helped a lot also! These two definitely had some insecurities and communication issues that they had to deal with but they managed it fairly well. This group as a whole, meaning the Starlings, including Derrick and Lane, as well as the PA’s, are absolutely amazing! I love their protectiveness towards anyone they care about and how they all have each other’s backs no matter how much they squabble! This will have you laughing and tearing up both! I just couldn’t put this book down! I definitely recommend this whole series! I can’t wait for the next book! This is my honest opinion of this complimentary copy of this book
It's rare that the prologue in a book reduced me to tears but J.P. Sayle managed. Keep the tissues handy.
There were small hints about Kari and Bowie in the other books as the story kind of runs parallel with the previous books. So a Daddy relationship wasn't a surprise.
The two are just utterly adorable together. Bowie is such a lost soul, doesn't know how to feel loved as he never experienced it. And Kari is patient, caring and just an amazing Daddy. Where is the bubble wrap needed to keep Bowie safe and happy? But when it comes to be open, Bowie has learned that there are people who accept and love him.
What I love most in this series is the way the Starling family interacts, not just the brothers but also their dads. And while there is less physical interaction between the PAs in this book, you can see in their text conversations how they are never talking Bowie down, how they patiently help him when he struggles with social cues.
Friends to lovers is my favorite troupe , and I gave a always had a soft spot for the underdogs. I devoured thus story voracious and eagerly. I rooted for good outcomes for Bowie, a d I wanted Kari to stay and fight "the evil ex". What's in Kari's heart? Is it the same as what Bowie wants abd needs??? Will Kari cut bait or fish until the end?? I'm swooning and my heart is melting over these two.. It is a much needed story of love and not giving up when things get tough.. Support from a loved one feels miraculous and wonderful. . Get all the feels now!!!!
Independent reviewer for Archaeolibrarian, I was gifted my copy of this book.
This is book 6 in the Divergent Omegaverse series, and I recommend you read them in order. While the books themselves are overlapping in the timeline, some things happen in previous books that are mentioned here, and talked about but not fully recapped and you really do need to know about the visit to the ranch, and what happened at the factory.
There have been hints about Kari and Bowie in previous books and I really enjoyed their book. Not loved though, and I can't figure out why!
Kari is a born Starling, twin to Kodi. He's the calmer of the two.
Kari watches Bowie, like a hawk, so he notices when something isn't right, his wolf knows something is very wrong. Once Kari finds Bowie, his Daddy side kicks in. And that Daddy side is so powerful, and sweet, and loving and neither of them saw this coming, so it was cute as well.
Bowie had a difficult upbringing, and it spills over into his adult life. The prologue made me cry! But once Bowie finds his feet, as it were, with his Daddy, and once they get smexy? Oh my days, that boy is fierce!
Some darker things happen, but I'm not spoiling it for you.
I'm looking forward to Kodi's book, and there is also Jupiter and Laken still to fall. I do enjoy the snippets of text messages, between the PA's and the Starling brothers. And the little bits we get of Lane and Derick (Popi and Dad!)
It's a fairly easy read, and I can't figure out why I didn't love it! Sorry!
Im so loving this series 🥰 love watching the brothers fall so hard and not realising it at frist. Kari and Bowie are just to sweet.
**“Mated, mated? I didn’t notice any mark on your neck. When did it happen?” Kari made a choking noise before smothering his laughter. “Let’s see how you explain this.”**
I would recommend this book/series to anyone its so good. Even if your not a Daddy/Little Romance reader like me i would still say give it a try. These guys are brilliant 👏 looking forward to seeing what happens with the next brother 😂
I was so excited for this book and it was so much better than I hoped for. I absolutely love that these books are happening semi-simultaneously. I found Bowie absolutely adorable and adore how patient Kari was with him. I love this family and how quick these brothers are ready to go to war for each other. I got this as an arc and am already impatient for the next book!! I really dont want to wait!!
What a wonderful addition to a amazing, fun and enjoyable series, as another of the eight siblings bites the dust and finds that one special someone of his very own. This time it's Kari's turn, learning how to work around Bowie's abandonment issues is like negotiating a mine field but with lots of hugs, good communication, time and effort things have a way of working themselves out and maybe a love to last a lifetime is possible.
