A wonderful ending to the series. I had my heart in my throat a majority of the book. The story did lose cozy vibes for me as it went on and progressed into higher and higher stakes. The narration is a bit longwinded which made the series feel like it was dragging on at times, but the sequence of plot points and relationship development was unmatched. Best portrayal of yearning and longing ever. I adore both Nigel Grimm and Luna Talbot.

This final volume definitely kept me on the edge of my seat but goodness, by the time I was done reading it my heart grew three sizes and I’m positively glowing with happiness. The perfect ending for the most adorable couple of oblivious yearners. I will miss Nigel and Luna terribly and it is likely I will visit them with a reread later on!

Cozy, cute, satisfying
I loved this series, read all six as quickly as I could get my hands on them. Very slow burny, cozy with just the right amount of action. Loved the ending. Thank you, author!

Finally! Who would of thought I would have held on this long - for 6 books with continuing miscommunication and buckets of yearning. Putting all the slow in slow burn… but the ending was really beautiful and it was all worth it

a sweet ending to a sweet series
I found all the twists and loose threads came to their final conclusion in this book. It was very well wrapped up, and I enjoyed it (though it was a bit heart-wrenching at times!).

What a conclusion to what has been a very fun ride. Nigel and Luna are both just so clueless and I love it! It's always a treat when you find characters that you can relate to, isn't it? Not that I have magic or living in what can only be described as hell (for Luna), nor am I the gorgeous girl who thinks she is plain. Those are written about freauently, but to meet two people as socially awkward as I am, who cannot read the room if her life depended on it... may I have some more, p!ease and thank you.

Well, sadly it had to come to an end, but we end up with a beautifully happy ever after that included things I didn't even know I wanted, and now I want a Gronk Cat! Well, maybe not for keeps, after all he's not the Ghibli cuteness that my imagination offered up, but I'd definitely try to pet him.
This episode went in a few directions I didn't expect, but I loved it anyway. I applaud Sylvia for tackling sex (between a married couple) by only giving us the conversation between the two and not the graphic details. I appreciated the tender talk and yet she still gave them privacy.
It's a deliberate decision to walk a line to where adults or teens can read it, and I wish other authors would take notes and try this for themselves. We need more books willing to give us a taste of the reality and the reader can picture whatever they do or do not want rather than the rampant (and often physically impossible without little blue pills, a body completely double jointed and no need to breathe for extended periods of time) that is saturating the market.
Both Nigel and Luna grow a lot in a short amount of time. Which, given all they've already dealt with and the trouble that is about to come is understandable. I love how once these two realize what they feel for each other and find the courts to finally admit it, the devotion to one another goes off the charts. There literally is nothing these two won't do to keep the other safe.
We even get a little taste of a chummy road trip that had me laughing.
And, of course there is tea literally everywhere. The flavor profiles had me wishing I could enjoys cup myself, but, sadly, I can't stand the taste of weeds in water. But maybe Lunar owe what she's talking about and I just haven't found my true love blend just yet.
It does leave me wondering though if anyone has counted how many cups of tea are drunk in this series vs how many teacups remained untasted... not that it matters or anything.
Don't mind me rambling yet again... just go grab the series and enjoy them for yourself.

WOW!
This whole series of books has been a fantastic ride. I was hoping that this last book would not let me down as has happened with other author’s series when they wrap them up but this last book was amazing! Being familiar with Sylvia Mercedes’s other series I should have had zero doubts that she would deliver being the fantastic writer that she is. I hated that the series ended though and I’m feeling more than a little bittersweet right now but, as they say, all good things too quickly come to an end even when you don’t wish them to. This was a romantically charming read from Book #1 to Book#6 with enough drama along the way to make sure the reader is riveted. I fell in love with both Nigel and Luna and their carefully crafted characters made you feel as if you actually knew them which is why I feel so bittersweet with their adventure now ending. I’m really going to miss them and all the other amazing characters in these books. Anyway, I could go on and on about this book and the series so the best thing I can say is “Read This Series”! And if you are like me and like to listen to music while you read there is a YouTube channel that I, personally, think perfectly fits this series. It is “The Most Beautiful 9 Adagios In Rachmaninoff Style”. It has a slight 1930’s style jazzy feel along with a good dose of sweet whimsy both of which are featured in the books.

This last one redeemed itself a little but not by much
I was engaged by the story but still super frustrated with both the lead characters
It didn’t make sense that they took so long to get together even though it’s mentioned in the book it’s only 5 months so I agree that not a long time by any standard but the yearning was so heavy that it make no sense that neither knew each others feelings for each other.
Also finding ward with another girl the night he proposed to Luna regardless of my thoughts on their relationship felt super off.
It was strange who all the side characters where super promiscuous and sexually open and the two leads were acting all prudish.
Even after they got married on their wedding day Luna still was after being so keen the night before was being prudish
Like if you doing a closed door love scene that’s fine but stop putting it off and making strange excuses
Especially when by the end of the book they have three kids I mean lol
Kids come from somewhere
It was just handled so strange
It gets three stars because again Nigel Grimm could have been one of my favourite MMCs
But boy he got robbed
Also the fact she is so controlling that he’s not allowed to do magic ever?!
That’s a huge part of who he is
That also felt off
This ended up being such a great concept as a series and boy was it poorly executed and kind of manipulative to both characters and the reader…

the sweetest
Yes, 6 mini books felt a little ridiculous. But the authors have to make a paycheck too. 😅
However, this story was the sweetest little thing. A touch too long perhaps, but if you love the longing and the deep desire to smack a character upside the head and yell, “GET ON WITH IT” at 3am, this is 💯 the story for you.
Nigel Grimm is everything strong willed women love. Soft and squishy, awkward and slightly ridiculous with all the trimmings of a nerd, including the insane Hubris of Self that causes them to drift into Villianhood, he is an absolute delight.
Luna Talbot is all the things we secretly wish we could be, but are also glad we aren’t. She is gentle, silly and sweet, completely innocent without being inane with a streak of Stubborn that rounds her out nicely. She’s probably the best written version of this character I’ve ever read. It’s SO hard to write “innocent” without it becoming tedious or childish.
This was a delightful diversion and a wonderful little bonbon of a story!

Well. That last book certainly delivered ALL the plot!
I will probably never read this again (it's just way too long) but I have absolutely no regrets over reading it this once. I am sincerely happy for Sylvia Mercedes. I'm glad she found telling this story invigorating and good for her health. But the style was definitely not for me. It seems... Let's go with self-indulgent to write such a very LONG series with so little action stretched across so many pages when most of us have full-time jobs, responsibilities to our families, and are desperately trying to keep up with our favorite authors' releases in the tiny scraps of time available for hobbies. This series did NOT make that any easier. I can't estimate how many times I've stayed up late finishing conclusions, because normally it's only an hour at most. But four hours of climax stretched over days? Kinda torturous! Speaking of climax, the sex vibe of this series was odd. I have no idea how you'd bill it on the clean to not scale.

The conclusion of this cozy fantasy series was amazing!
Full of intense longing and devotion for so long, Nigel was an absolute dream in this volume, fighting for love, willing to do whatever it took to protect Luna.
Luna’s fate finally caught up to her in this book, but she boldly followed her heart despite the risks and I loved seeing her aunts jump into the action in this volume.
As a long-time follower of this author, I swooned when Luna used a certain pet name for Nigel near the end. Such a special little moment that has extra meaning for those in the know.
This series was a fantastic adventure with a great cast of characters, adorable sentient plants, a slow-burn romance full of desperate longing, and of course, many moments to enjoy a lovely spot of tea!

Well I’m very glad I waited until volume six in this series was released to read all of them - I don’t think I’d have been able to continue reading if I’d had to wait between volumes. The slow burn romance wasn’t so much slow as obtuse? I really loved the story and the romance was sweet, but I think I rolled my eyes nearly out of my head every time the MCs misunderstood each other or refused to actually speak about their feelings.
I can see how that extended yearning would be appealing to some readers, but I think I’m too impatient for it!
Volume 6 was my favourite out of all of the volumes.

-happy sigh- well...
That was a helluva journey and I can confidently recommend the entire six part A Spot of Tea and Sorcery series....
Got a little touch and go in the middle and I was nervous it would fall apart but it was all brought together so beautifully
Funny. Heartwarming. Sweet. Beautifully crafted.
Went much deeper than the first few books led on to. But just absolutely beautiful!

We finally get to meet the aunties and they are worth the wait. Nigel is willing to forfeit his life to keep Luna safe after she’s been kidnapped by the Brotherhood. Garden and the shop flowers play a most important part to ensure that the Brotherhood is thwarted, as does Nigel’s brother.
Charming epilogue as all's well that ends well.
Both this and the Crescent Cove series published by assorted authors have been fun, light summer reads and I hope to see more like them in the future. A refreshing change from my usual dark novels.

I don't think I could write a proper review of this book. Not without pounding the keyboard incoherently and pasting a bunch of wild and chaotically happy gifs in here (I have no idea how to do that on GR anyway).
Suffice it to say that this whole series made my little romance-loving heart so happy and while I'm sad it's over, I do hope that I can get physical copies of all six (or an all-in-one omnibus, should the Green Mother will it) because - SIGH - Nigel and Luna *heart eyes, melon-farmers!*
Just read this series. You will NOT regret it!

What a lovely end to the series. It's been such a fun and cozy ride, and I have been 100% here for all of it. All the tea. All the cozy. All the magic. All the mischievous plant-life. All the Gronk Cat. All the yearning. All the dibble-dabs. I'm not even kidding when I say my personal tea consumption has increased by about 200% (I'm currently sipping on a vanilla peppermint latte), and it's very possible that Nigel Grimm has ruined me for all future fantasy book boyfriends.

Will definitely be my comfort series now
You know, everyone has a series they reread again. This series was just the cutest and sweetest series I have ever read. The longing, the gentlemanly nature, the innocence!
This couple kept me saying "Aw" over and over again. And what a clever way to "defeat" the bad guy. Im still laughing about it!!

Just What We Wanted!
Sylvia did it! She brought us back to what made us love Nigel and Luna, while keeping some of the mysterious magic and slightly scary sorcerers finally in check! The story flows with the feelings we were looking for, the very essence of Nigel Grimm, and some surprises as well. Love the epilogue, don't miss it!

Heart Melting - So Worth It
Ya'll. This was a fantastic end to the story of absolute annihilation of two beautiful hearts that were broken, repaired and broken yet again only to come together and healed clean.
But omg, the suffering, the agonizing, and the yearning.

fantastic series
The perfect ending to an amazing series!! I loved every second of Nigel and Luna’s story and how they fell in love in the small moments and through friendship. It truly was a very lovely story!! I wish more authors could master slow burn like Sylvia has! Fantastic!

6 Books of Build-Up Tension for a Finale that Did Not Deliver
I went into A Spot of Tea and Sorcery - Volume 6 with very high expectations, especially when it came to Luna and Nigel’s relationship, and I ended up frustrated and disappointed.
After the two interrupted kisses in Volume 5, where we had barely scratched the surface, I expected all that built-up tension to finally explode, emotionally and especially physically. Instead, the intimate scenes were so underdeveloped and vaguely written that I struggled to understand what was actually happening. I was completely engrossed, expecting more, and then suddenly I was left hanging. That was my biggest disappointment with the book.
I also had issues with some of the side-character behaviour. Their reactions to serious events did not always feel convincing or consistent with the characters I had come to know.
The main plot was just as disappointing, especially in its sense of scale. The Last Stand had reshaped the world, particularly the magical one, so I expected Jastira’s return to carry consequences on a similar level. I went into A Spot of Tea and Sorcery - Volume 6 with very high expectations, especially when it came to Luna and Nigel’s relationship, and I ended up frustrated and disappointed.
After the two interrupted kisses in Volume 5, where we had barely scratched the surface, I expected all that built-up tension to finally explode, emotionally and especially physically. Instead, the intimate scenes were so underdeveloped and vaguely written that I struggled to understand what was actually happening. I was completely engrossed, expecting more, and then suddenly I was left hanging. That was my biggest disappointment with the book.
I also had issues with some of the side-character behaviour. Their reactions to serious events did not always feel convincing or consistent with the characters I had come to know.
The main plot was just as disappointing, especially in its sense of scale. The Last Stand had reshaped the world, particularly the magical one, so I expected Jastira’s return to carry consequences on a similar level. I devoured these books. They had toe-curling yearning, with some action and coziness. For it being a 6 part series, its pacing was pretty good. I think sometimes certain events could be a little long, but I think it added to the cozy vibes. So pleased with the wrap up!

It was so difficult to let go this story...but Enjoyed it tremendously. I don't think I'll find a story like this ever again.
The epilogue had me tearing when the kids appeared. Gosh... I want to read it all over again. Good job. 🫶🏻✨

This entire series was delightful and riveting. Cozy with an engaging slow burn and plenty of pining, A Spot of Tea and Sorcery is a perfect get away from the rigors of real life. I loved it so much. Very Howls moving castle-esque.

Came for the cozy vibes, stayed for a beautiful story of yearning, acceptance, and deep devotion. Loved every minute of this series. Sad it’s over but satisfied.
