Seven days to stop them. Seven days until she dies.

Gabi knew getting involved with Monroe’s revenge plan against Sigma was a risk, but she never expected things to go this far.

She didn’t know her best friend would sacrifice herself, and although she knew her ex-boyfriend, Jace, was her enemy, she never thought he would let her become Sigma’s prisoner with a collar around her neck and leave her for dead.

But the thing about Gabi is she’s been torn down and underestimated before; a grave miscalculation.

Because Gabi is the eldest daughter of three.

And she does not break.

Summer Robert is a recovering corporate girlie turned weaver of angsty, dark romance stories that are as suspenseful as they are salacious. She’s known for writing twisted and often emotionally devastating love stories with unhinged spice and gut-wrenching cliffhangers. Summer loves a good Easter egg written between the pages as much as she loves surviving off of caffeine and vibes. A fun fact about Summer is that she is a hoarder and self-proclaimed connoisseur of perfume and spends more time than she should debating what perfume her unapologetically strong FMCs wear (because your girl loves an innuendo). Most importantly, she's a mom of two small humans and one small, vicious, and spiteful yorkipoo. Summer currently resides in Los Angeles, and although she is originally a native Ohioan from a shockingly small farm town, she will forever call LA her home.

This was intense from start to finish. The stakes are high, the tone is dark, and there is always something happening to keep you invested.
Gabi really stands out as a main character, and I liked how strong and determined she was even in difficult situations. The second chance element adds another layer, especially with how complicated her history with Jace is.
If you enjoy darker, more suspense driven romances with twists and tension, this one delivers.

Oh Gabriella! Small but mighty. She is the girl who takes care of everyone else, quickly becoming the heart and glue of the series. However, as deep as the rats hide, it was only a matter of time before she was bitten too. Who is there to save her?

Jace Carver must make his choice.

Part Taken, part Scream. Collared was a thrill. Dark betrayal, death at the edge. Secrets that must not come to light. Summer did an amazing job at mixing love and hurt. A balance that makes these characters feel possible. All in a situation that feels very crime drama, but also bizarrely probable under the surface of believability. The lies we tell ourselves to feel safe.

Highly recommend this series. Fire and ice personified. With a lot of heart and tons of fun mixed in.

For clarification, I read an ARC copy from the author. This review was left voluntarily and is of my own words.

Not only were the high expectations I had going into this book met they were somehow exceeded! The emotional rollercoaster that is Collared is one hell of a ride! Summer, I don’t know how you did it, but I have never hated a character so much one minute and had my heart broken for them the next! A stunning example of a second book continuing the momentum and pushing a series forward. A true DARK and unhinged, second-chance romance that my little black heart will never get over!

There is no pause between the ending of Caged (Book 1) and the beginning of Collared. Immediately thrown back into the story, and I was gripped in its vice from the start. Monroe and Kieren’s story is still playing out but Collared shifts focus to Gabi and Jace. I was so stoked to see this couple as the main characters. I knew there had to be more to their story.

I enjoyed seeing the dynamics play out between these two couples but the depth that existed between all the characters and their relationships with each other was a favorite. Gabi has this journey of coming into her own. Witnessing her turn her less than ideal circumstance into a moment of strength gave me all the proud feels for her character. As this is a DARK story, I appreciated that the dynamic between Monroe and Gabi comes into some new light, reflective of what both their experiences with these men, and subsequently Sigma, has put them through. These women are complex and dynamic characters which made it effortless to bond to them in different ways.

Kieren, I said it before, I had true moments of hate for this man in this book and literally chapters later I just wanted to hug him and tell him it would all be okay. This was not a subtle shift in opinion either. There were no moments of “yeah he deserves this but” …I am talking ends of the spectrum of absolutely hate to heartbreaking. Incredibly well done by Summer showing that under the monster is sometimes just a truly broken person. Now Jace…while there were the occasional moments of wanting to punch him to get it together, I fell hard for him. Absolutely FERAL for this man! It is my opinion that we all need a Jace in our lives!

The way Summer writes makes this world feel so real. The line between fiction and reality seemed to blur more with every turn of the page. The internal dialogue of the characters (Gabi in the car is unbelievably relatable) is on point!

The tension that builds in this book had me on an incredible climb to a fall that, I am fairly sure, caused me to stop breathing on more than one occasion. Not knowing what was going to happen and witnessing each character go through their own moments was a fantastic experience. I wish I could live through this for the first time again because the adrenaline rush and subsequent crash is addictive. Just like with Caged, this book has me dying for the next in the series. I can’t wait to see what is coming!

Summer Roberts has delivered a stunning sequel with Collared, the second book in the Sins of the Sigma series. This installment keeps the intensity high from the very first page, picking up exactly where the explosive finale of Caged left off. It plunges readers back into the world of Sigma with relentless suspense, utilizing multiple perspectives to allow for a deep, psychological immersion into every character’s journey. By shifting between points of view, the narrative captures the immediate stakes of Gabi’s seven-day countdown while exploring the chilling depths of Kieran’s deepening obsession.
Gabi’s character development is the true heart of this story. Watching her move from the devastation of loss to a powerful, cathartic display of feminine rage is incredibly moving. Her transition from victim to a powerhouse of strength is empowering, and seeing her find that internal fire while Jace fights for his own redemption provides a beautiful contrast to the madness surrounding them. Jace’s transformation is a standout element of the book; his path from a despised figure to a man worthy of forgiveness was handled with impressive nuance, proving him to be a vital and earned ally for Gabi.
Collared is an exceptional example of maintaining momentum, balancing raw emotional pain with high-stakes action that exceeds every expectation. It is rare for a second book to surpass the original in intensity, but the seamless transition and the epic scope of the Sins of the Sigma world make this an unforgettable experience. While the ending is a total whirlwind that will leave you reeling and twisted in knots, the journey is a dark, gripping, and deeply immersive experience.
Please note that this is a dark romance that contains heavy themes, including captivity, psychological obsession, and violence. I highly recommend checking the author's full content warnings to ensure a safe reading experience.

Favorite quote🖤

“I am your worst nightmare, which you probably already knew, but let me make it clear exactly the kind of nightmare I am. I am the person who is going to make every dream you tried to steal from your daughter come true. I am the person who is going to find every little thing you took from her over the years and hand it back to her on a silver platter. And that should terrify you, because once I do that, the hold and control you have over her will be gone. She will not need you, she will not take orders from you, and she sure as fuck will not fear you. Your reign of terror will be done and when that happens, your daughter is never going to want to speak to you or see you ever again. Not because I won’t let her, but because once she transforms into the powerful and confident woman you told her she would never become, she’ll be strong enough to walk away on her own.”

💭My thoughts
What a rollercoaster of a ride this book was. Beautifull heartbreaking quotes, psycho Kieren doing his worst, twist and turns and a love that gets a second change.

Summer has a page turning writing style. And Kieren is forever in my top 5 dark romance MMC's🖤

I was a bit disappointed in the FMC Monroe, because I liked her ride or die friendship with Gabi so much in the first two books. These girls were like soulmates. And in my opinion she just threw that away and used her to get what she wanted. Like there is no excuse and Gabi deserves better.

"I want her like my demons want their next fix. I need her like my heart needs to pump blood. She is an appendage, an extension of me, and now I’m beyond repair."

ARC REVIEW

I just devoured Sins of the Sigma: Collared by Summer Robert and I’m still recovering… barely.

After that brutal cliffhanger in book one, this story wastes **zero time** we’re thrown right back into chaos and I mean CHAOS. Blink and you’re already spiraling.

Summer Robert delivers every. single. time. The writing? Addictive. The tension? Suffocating in the best way. This story doesn’t pull you in it grabs you by the throat AND refuses to let go… very Kieren-coded 🖤

Speaking of
Kieren has officially crossed into full unhinged villain territory and I am… not okay about how much I still love him.

But let’s talk about my girl Monroe 😭
And GABI??? My heart could not take it.

Gabi has been through hell and back—an abusive past, carrying the weight of protecting her sister, living by “I am the eldest daughter, and I do not break.” And yet… she bends, she burns, she fights.

Her dynamic with Jace??
PAIN. ANGST. OBSESSION.

When he breaks her heart, she swears to return the favor and oh, she delivers. But watching Jace battle between loyalty to this twisted cult and saving the girl he still loves? That man is DOWN BAD and I ate it up.

We also get deeper into X’s twisted endgame and I swear… WHO THE HELL IS HE?? The way this man moves?? Unhinged. Terrifying. Addictive.

And the WOMEN in this book??
The rage. The power. The revenge.
Let’s just say… they don’t stay victims.

I’m still obsessed with Kieren (toxic, I know), but Jace???
That man just stole my whole soul.

Read this immediately but don’t say I didn’t warn you.
This is DARK romance. Check your triggers… or don’t 😈

Talk about a revenge plot done right. Collard had so many twists, turns, and unexpected moments that I was on the edge of my seat the entire time.

One of my favorite parts of this book was the character development—especially for Jace and Gabi. Watching Jace finally step into his own and begin embracing who he truly is added so much depth to the story and made his journey incredibly satisfying to follow.

Monroe and Kieran’s relationship remains as toxic, volatile, and intense as ever—but that’s exactly what makes them so compelling. I definitely have a love-hate relationship with these two, yet I was completely invested in every moment. And THE revenge? Absolutely worth the wait. I was very satisfied with the direction their story took in this installment.

There were also several twists I genuinely did not see coming, which only made the story even more addictive. Every time I thought I knew where things were heading, another surprise pulled me right back in.

Now I’m over here impatiently waiting for the next book because I need to know how everything wraps up.

Sins of the Sigma: Collard is book two in the series and should not be read as a standalone. Be sure to start with Caged to follow Kieran and Monroe’s story and learn more about Sigma.

Huge thank you to Summer Robert and the Hawthorne and Aster team for the opportunity to read this early!

CHECK YOUR TRIGGERS

It’s secret societies, serious trauma, and very dark romance…this is Collared.

First up: you will not understand this book without reading book one (Caged).
Secondly: for the love of all things holy, do NOT ignore the trigger warnings. This is not a fun red flags book.

Following the death of her best friend, Gabi is in the clutches of Jace, the ex who truly hates her. With her friend unavailable for the secret society’s upcoming ritual, Gabi has been marked as her replacement.

Jace is torn - by his loyalty to the Sigma and his feelings for Gabi. After realising the truth of his past, he knows he has a lot to make up for. But the dangers of going against the psychopathic leader are real and not to be taken lightly…and there’s the mysterious X making demands in the background…

Whew. This was a crazy read and I virtually inhaled it. This is an *actual* enemies to lovers book, starting with the two exes on opposite sides. The story of Monroe and Kieran continues from book one as a side plot - and both it and they are unhinged.

While the romance may be slow burn, the spice most certainly is not. The spice is completely open door (or car, or basement during a weird ritual…). There is one non-consensual episode towards the start of the book.

As I may have mentioned, you need to follow the warnings with this one. There are multiple chapters from the POV of a narcissistic psychopath and his brain is a weird place. The book is filled with examples of misogyny, abusive relationships, and terrible parenting. All the characters have significant trauma that influence their actions in this book, for good or bad.

Despite the depths the men of the secret society sink to, there are some very brave, determined women who will not be crushed by their hate. You will want them to prevail - and they do.

If you’re prepared to risk the triggers and want a genuine enemies to lovers dark romance, I recommend Collared and its predecessor Caged.

Absolutely addicted to this series.

Summer Robert seriously knows how to pull you into a story and refuse to let you leave. This book had me stressed, emotional, laughing, angry, and completely invested the entire time. The way everything picks up and keeps building from the first book was SO good. I finished it and immediately needed the next one.

The characters feel so real it’s honestly hard to explain. Every POV adds something and makes you understand them more, even when they’re making terrible decisions. Jace and Gabi’s storyline had me in a chokehold because you could feel every ounce of tension, heartbreak, and chemistry between them. And Monroe? Completely unhinged in the best way possible. She steals every scene she’s in.

One thing I love about Summer Robert’s writing is that the chaos never feels forced. The emotions hit hard, the relationships are messy and addictive, and the characters all have depth instead of feeling one dimensional. You end up attached to every single one of them.

This series is becoming one of my all-time favorites and I already know I’ll be thinking about these characters for a long time. I’m so ready for what comes next.

Ms. Robert has done it again! Talk about keeping you on the edge of your seat, I’m happy to say that this sequel did not disappoint.

After the explosive finale of Caged, Gabi is taken hostage and kept to be a sacrifice in 7 days. As Gabi mourns the loss of Monroe once again, Gabi must decide whether to keep fighting or harness her inner rage. And Jace is at a crossroads. Now more than ever, he must decide which side he is on.

The redemption arc for Jace was done very well; I despised this man almost as much as I did Kieran. However, he has proved himself to be a man deserving of forgiveness and Gabi deserved no less. I hated my girl had such a hard time. However, the feminine rage she displayed had me cheering and I’m so glad that she was able to find strength in herself with Jace at her side. This book definitely hurt me but it somehow made me love it more.

That ending definitely twisted me in more knots and I can’t wait for more!

Hello, people!
In the second book of the series, Collared, the tension peaks. In fact, I think it is a much stronger book than the first.
The world building is fantastic and all the characters have depth and a strong psychographic profile. In general, they change quite a bit, not all of them, and this part is an important chapter in the story.
The plot intensifies, explodes, has twists and turns and suspense.
In conclusion, all of this, combined with the author's dark, mystical, captivating, enjoyable, engaging and fast-paced writing, creates the perfect result to immerse the reader in a world that creates emotions and wraps them in an invisible cloak, trapping them deeper and deeper in the world that Summer Robert created with exceptional mastery.

Many thanks to the author and Hawthorn And Aster Services for the eARC!

✨ARC Review✨

This series has had me in a chokehold and is not letting go anytime soon. This is the 2nd of the Sins of the Sigma series and it delivered! It continues RIGHT where Caged left off. That means you get more Kieren, I don’t care what anyone says, I can fix him!!

You get multiple POVs and get to see the development of Jace and Gabi. I loved seeing Jace’s redemption arc and working to win back Gabi even in the f’d up situation he put her in.

If I could choose one personality trait, it would be being as dramatic and badass as Monroe is. There is no stopping her.

The way Summer Robert writes these characters makes them so real and you feel like you’re with the through the whole crazy ride.

I’m so excited for what’s to come…..

I think I felt every possible emotion reading this. I laughed, cried, got angry, was appalled, flabbergasted. Literally all of it.

It picks up right after Caged, so we’re thrown straight back into the chaos. As always, I love the multiple POVs and timelines because they add so much more context and depth to the story.

Kieran is still completely deranged and I’m here for it. But Jace, I absolutely love him. He had me giggling through a good part of this book. The unhinged feminine rage was easily my favorite part.

This one is not as dark as Caged but it’s still fast paced, stressful, and full of twists that kept me on edge the entire time. I cannot wait for Carved.

If you thought book one left you hot and bothered with more questions than answers warning this one it just as bad if not worse! It makes you furious, hot, and bothered, annoyed, anxious, and maybe a little blood thirsty.
Monroe and Kieren drive us crazy and make us fall in love with them, and at the same time we want to unalive them in the same moment. The twist and turns keep you guessing and questioning your sanity. The psychotic giggles keep coming and you keep wanting more. I can’t leave so much more of a review or I will spoil the entire book for you guys.
I did read this as an arc read and it’s my honest opinion and review.

Collared — Book 2 in the Sins of the Sigma series

chaos.
Emotions that scream off the page.
A descent into obsession, control, and slow, unraveling madness.

Nothing here is soft or easy.

Summer Robert makes you work for every inch of this story.

every feeling, every moment of connection,
ot something that might resemble love.

Because even in the most brutal world
there is still a chance at it.

This book is violence incarnate.
A dark spiral of lust, possession, and power

There are no green flags here.
Only people trying to survive.
only people hellbent for revenge.

thank you Summer and Hawthorn and Aster for providing me with this ARC

This one is just chaos in the best way. Everything feels sharp and kind of unpredictable, like you’re always one second away from something going wrong.

I was fully locked in while reading this. It has that energy where you’re not really relaxing into it, you’re just watching everything unfold and reacting as you go.

Gabi has that “I’m not backing down no matter what” energy that makes you want to keep following her just to see what she’ll do next.

And the whole vibe is just intense. Like it doesn’t really give you space to breathe, it just keeps moving.

A dark romance with heavy subject matters like captivity, psychological obsession, and violence. If that’s something you like reading, this is a wonderful book for you. It picks up where Caged left off (Monroe and Kieran’s story). A very powerful storyline with twists and turns that will keep you flipping those pages. The characters Gabi and Jace are wonderful. Gabi finds her power and is the heart of the story. Jace is on a path trying to gain forgiveness. Monroe and Kieran’s relationship remains toxic and intense. The story is addictive and you will want more. Captivating!! 4.5 stars

I LOVED caged (book 1 in this series) and was eager to read this.

✅ Dark
✅ multi POV

Sadly this is a Pitch black Romance which is just not for me - I just can't get on board with the abused ending up with the person carrying out or being involved in the abuse. If that is your kind of romance then this may well be for you.

Just as book 1 this ended on a cliffhanger - so there maybe be light at the end of the tunnel for the rest of the series for me.

The PLOT THICKENS!

Jace & Gabi’s love story was a refreshing change to the classic Monroe & Kieren cycle that we absolutely hate to love.

The end of a chapter with much more to come!!

Gabi and Monroe start their journey of revenge and the action doesn’t stop. Gabi and Jace are pushed together to not only sort out their past, make amends, and fight for a future that includes being alive. There is mystery, action, revenge, hidden identities, spice, and oh so much corruption! Cannot wait for the series to continue!
