As someone steeped in self-help culture and having read countless books on the topic, this book exceeds all expectations! It is laid out in a way that builds upon the most crucial factors related to building long-lasting and effective habits. I appreciate how concepts are introduced defined and explained in such an understandable way. The order in which ideas are introduced makes the habit building process appear seamless and makes so much sense. I personally have used the strategies in this book to build my own habits and especially manage setbacks that come with living life and having a busy schedule. I recommend this book if you're feeling stuck or even considering to give habit change another try? I know it can be hard to start again after "failed" attempts but learning the strategies in this book will help you move past that with greater ease. The important part is that you start again and I hope you let this book be your guide!

Just started to read! Easy and digestible read on how to make small steps to big changes. It also comes with the PDF of Action Prompts. Would be helpful to anyone struggling to start and thinking changing behavior has to be painful, it doesn't have to according to this process.

I just finished part one and, “Wow!” I’ve already improved my exercise habits and am ready to improve some workplace habits I’ve struggled with for years.

“Do The Thing” feels like you’re sitting across from that friend who’s always doing the things you want to do, saying, “Teach me your ways!” And their face lights up, they roll up their sleeves, pull out the white board, and start teaching. Turns out, your friend, who already loves and supports you, is a great teacher (magician, really) who turns what has always seemed confusing and overwhelming into simple and approachable.

Erin is that friend, teaching you how to do the things you’ve always wanted to do. Free from judgement, shame, and superiority. Her lessons stoke curiosity, inspiration, and motivation to do anything you want.
