I had the pleasure of receiving this as an e-ARC and voluntarily will be giving my honest review. Wow just wow!! If the loved the first book you are definitely going to love this one even better!! This book had me hooked from the very beginning and what an emotional ride that was!! Absolutely loved this book and the build up it had that i definitely can’t for a next book!!

“Even when time stands still, the war continues. Ash settles upon shattered soil, the stench of decay heavy in the air. When the Fates fail to fulfill their own prophecy, Tharion is forced to figure out a new way to kill the demon that continues to seep evil into the mortal realm.

The mortal realm slowly falls into darkness, the realm of spirits filling with endless results of dark magics, forcing Tharion and his companions to find another way to reach Eleanora as her magic slowly diminishes. The journey is hard, the distance far and with every step, hope slowly slips through Tharion’s fingers.

Which lies will be uncovered in the next chapter of their journey? Will he get to Eleanora in time? Will he finally fulfill his destiny?

Welcome back to Kyrris.”

5 more haunting, heart-wrecking stars

If Eclipse of the Mortal Realm was the spark that pulled me into C.J. Saint’s world, then Realm of Silent Screams is the moment the fire truly catches.

Book two takes everything that made the first installment so compelling, the atmosphere, the emotional stakes, the creeping eldritch undertones, and expands it into something darker, deeper, and even more immersive. The world grows in ways that feel both exciting and unsettling, revealing layers of magic, dreams, and realms that make the story feel far larger than we first realised.

One of the things C.J. Saint continues to do brilliantly is atmosphere. There’s this constant tension threaded through the story, an almost dreamlike unease where you never quite know what reality you’re standing in. The exploration of dreams, nightmares, and the fragile boundary between worlds adds a haunting new dimension to the lore. It leans further into the cosmic horror edge hinted at in the first book, and honestly? I loved every second of it.

But once again, the real heart of this series is the characters.

Eleanora’s journey in this book is fascinating to watch unfold. Where book one showed us her fear and uncertainty, book two forces her to confront something much bigger. She grows in strength, not just magically, but emotionally. There’s a quiet resilience to her that makes you root for her even harder as the story pushes her into darker, more dangerous territory.

And Tharion… my beloved disaster of a man.

If you thought the emotional tension around him was intense in the first book, just wait. His loyalty, grief, and quiet desperation drive so much of the emotional weight in this story. Watching him struggle, fight, and hold himself together while trying to find a way back to Eleanora is both heartbreaking and strangely beautiful. The slow-burn dynamic between them continues to simmer in the background, and every moment we get between them feels earned.

The found family elements continue to shine as well. The cast feels even more bonded here, and those small moments of humour and warmth between them become incredibly important when the world around them grows darker.

There’s also something really special about the way this book broadens the scope of the world. We begin to see that the conflicts in the first book were only the surface of something far more ancient and dangerous. The exploration of dream realms, spirits, and the unseen forces shaping reality adds a sense of scale that makes the series feel epic without losing the emotional intimacy of the characters.

This installment proves that the series wasn’t just a strong debut, it’s building into something genuinely special. The stakes are higher, the lore is richer, and the emotional punches hit even harder.

If the first book pulled you into this world, the second book sinks its claws in and refuses to let go.

Once again, highly recommended for readers who love:

High fantasy with expanding lore
Fae politics and realm-crossing magic
Slow-burn romance that hurts in the best way
Found family dynamics
Emotionally complex characters
Cosmic horror creeping at the edges of reality
And stories that leave you staring at the last page wondering how you’re supposed to emotionally recover.

I absolutely cannot wait to see where this series goes next.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A haunting, slow-burn masterpiece that completely pulls you in

Realm of Silent Screams is the kind of sequel that doesn’t just continue the story—it deepens it in every possible way. C.J. Saint takes everything that worked in the first book and dials it up: the tension, the atmosphere, the emotional stakes—and the romance.

The slow-burn romance is everything. At the heart of this story is a romance that unfolds with incredible care. The connection between the characters simmers quietly beneath the chaos, never overshadowing the plot but always adding weight to it. Every glance, every moment of hesitation, every small step forward feels like they earned it. It’s the kind of slow burn that keeps you hooked because you feel how much it matters—and when those moments finally land, they hit hard.

World-building that feels vast and unsettling. The world expands in a way that feels both epic and deeply eerie. What starts as familiar fantasy territory quickly shifts into something far more complex and unsettling. The introduction of dreamlike realms, ancient forces, and unseen influences gives the story a layered, almost otherworldly depth. It’s immersive without being overwhelming, and it constantly leaves you wanting to understand more.

Perfectly executed vibes. This book absolutely nails its atmosphere. There’s a constant sense that something isn’t quite right—that something is going to happen, that the floor is going to come away underneath them. I also felt like it conveyed that reality itself is fragile. The otherworldly tone of the book weaves through the story so naturally that you barely notice how tense you’ve become until you’re fully on edge. It’s haunting without relying on shock, building a quiet, lingering unease that stays with you long after you’ve put the book down and it takes you a while to come back down to earth.

A standout FMC with real growth. The development of the main female character is one of the strongest elements of the book and I really enjoyed this character arc. She evolves in a way that feels genuine and hard-earned, shaped by the increasingly dangerous and complex world around her. Her journey isn’t just about gaining strength it’s about resilience, self-understanding, and facing things far bigger than herself. Watching her step into that power is both satisfying and emotional.

This is a sequel that exceeds expectations on every level. With its beautifully written slow-burn romance, rich and expanding world, chilling atmosphere, and powerful character growth, Realm of Silent Screams proves that this series is something truly special and the first book was definitely not a one hit wonder. 😁

I can’t wait to see where this goes next.

Only one word to describe this book, and that is pain. From page one until the end, it feels like a love letter to how emotionally torturous the world can be, especially when you allow yourself to care about people. That is the thing I loved most about this story.

It was refreshing to see characters who are actually allowed to exist in real emotional turmoil. In a lot of fantasy books everything eventually works out neatly, but here the story leans into the darkness. There are moments of humour and warmth scattered throughout, but the overall atmosphere carries a sense of beautiful, aching despair that makes it impossible to look away. It is the kind of story that sits in your head long after you have put the book down.

The characters themselves are where this book truly shines. Every single one feels rich in emotional nuance and depth, making each page feel like the most beautifully sick kind of pain. Their relationships with one another are complicated, messy and very human, which makes their struggles feel incredibly real. You find yourself becoming deeply invested in their choices, their mistakes and the consequences that follow. There was even something in the plot I did not see coming - which rarely happens to me so I enjoyed that very much.

The supporting characters are just as strong, adding layers to the world and helping to shape the emotional journeys of the main cast. Nobody feels unnecessary. Each character contributes something meaningful, whether that is tension, heartbreak, loyalty or moments of unexpected warmth.

The imagery throughout the book is also stunning. There are passages that feel almost spiritual in the way they describe the world, the rituals and the beliefs that shape it. Those details make the setting feel vivid and immersive, and I often found myself thinking about certain scenes long after finishing a chapter, even while doing completely mundane things.

Everything clearly feels like it is building towards something much bigger in the next book but for once, I have no theories on where the plot is going. I need the next book now please.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (and honestly… I’d give more if I could)

If The Eclipse of the Mortal Realm was fantastic, then Realm of Silent Screams is on a completely different level, this book is epic. C.J. Saint has absolutely upped her game with this one.

We’re taken even deeper into Kyrris, and this time it’s darker, heavier, and far more emotionally brutal. This book genuinely wrecked me… and I loved every single minute of it.

We follow Tharion, Eleanora, Rowan, and Corvyn as they navigate a world filled with adventure, heartbreak, inner turmoil, and intense, high-stakes conflict, especially with the looming threat of Vorathiel. I won’t go into too much detail because this is definitely a story best experienced without spoilers, but let’s just say… I had to message Chelsea halfway through in regards to one of them!

The character development is incredible. You feel everything they feel, their struggles, their strength, their loyalty to one another. Their relationships continue to deepen in such a natural, emotional way that you can’t help but become completely invested.

The world-building continues to expand beautifully, adding more layers and depth to Kyrris without ever feeling overwhelming. It’s immersive, vivid, and incredibly well crafted.

I feel genuinely honoured to have received ARCs for both books in this series, and I am already counting down the days until book three. If this is the level we’re at now… I’m not emotionally prepared for what’s coming next.

An unforgettable, emotional rollercoaster that completely deserves every single star and tear!

This is 100% a wrecking 5-star rewiew. A slow-burn masterpiece🔥❤️‍🔥

This is the kind of sequel that has you even more hooked than the first book in the series😱 And i love it!! It does not only continue the story, it deepend it and show us even more of what we didn’t know we needed.

I am a sucker for slow-burn romance and this was IT, The connections between the characters are absolutley something special, and it feels we have gotten even more of the iceberg this time around. When we finished the first book, we needed more, and boy does she deliver. ❤️‍🔥🤩

The whole vibe of this book is IT, you really get dragged into this once again and you can’t really put the book down without thinking about it when you’re not reading!

This book was pain, love, suprising, and every emotion you look for, from the start til the end.

The book really was everything i needed right now!

Thank you so so soooo much for having me on the ARC-team, and letting me get to read this masterpiece of a book❤️‍🔥🥰

Definetley recomend this to everyone!

This book is living rent-free in my head!

C.J. was kind enough to provide me with an ARC of Realm of Silent Screams, and I absolutely devoured it, basically in one sitting. Easily the best 10 hours I’ve spent on my couch.

The plot unfolds so naturally, which I loved, there wasn’t a single moment that felt forced. Every scene is beautifully written, and I felt completely immersed, like I was right there in the story. Exactly what I want from a book.

The character development felt very organic and made perfect sense throughout.

The spicy scenes fit the characters and the story really well and never felt overdone or too graphic.

There are a few scenes where you’ll definitely want to check the trigger warnings beforehand.

The latest offering from CJ Saint picks up where Eclipse Of The Mortal Realm left off.

The book is another emotional rollercoaster. Filled with aching love, found friendship, wanting what you can’t have, and most of all… heartbreak.

This book is imbedded deep into my consciousness. The characters feel like friends of my own, not just people on a page.

Kyrris, will be a place that I visit for the rest of my days. If you are ever in Stormbrook, come and see me, say hi.

Finally, the amazing story leaves us wanting more, immediately. Book 3 is going to be highly anticipated and sought after by everyone who enjoys fantasy books… but nobody likes being late to the party, do they? So, read them.

See you in The Broken Ore

Book two of this trilogy take us back to the Kingdom of Kyrris, another utterly devastating, beautifully written book.

From the beginning, this book delves back in to the aftermath of the event in the previous book. C.J Saint continues to captivate with incredible, atmospheric writing whilst immersing us deeper into the world but the world this time is darker.

Through the pages, we continue to see the characters grow. I adore the main characters & their relationships with one another. They are still loyal & there for each other even though they are facing their own emotions & struggles.

The pages are filled with emotion, adventure, trials & unexpected twists. When I say this was an emotional journey, my heart was ripped out! I can’t wait to see what the next book brings.

I was honoured to receive an ARC version of this book, and after reading the first in the series, I was thrilled to get my hands on Realm of Silent Screams so soon.

We continue the journey with multiple POVs which really draws you into each character's thoughts and emotions. Perfect for getting to know them more and to feel the heartwrenching torture they feel.

However, the storyline isn't all gloom, there are also moments of humour and a constant underline of found family and the love that provides woven throughout.

The descriptive nature of the writing immerses you into story, and you can vividly picture the beautiful landscapes depicted.

At times a character's reaction to something frustrated me so much that I wanted to throw the book, but this is just a testament to how well the author writes and is able to provoke strong emotions.

Would absolutely recommend for those who love a high fantasy series and who want to get their heartstrings yanked on.

WOW WOW WOW 😭🥰❤️

I received the ARC for Realm of silent screams and I am so thankful to C.J Saint.

Where to start? This book was written so beautifully and I knew from the first chapter that this would be another 5 star read.

The characters are incredible. I feel like I really connected with each of them and their development is amazing. I adore Eleanora, Tharion, Rowan and Corvyn so much.
The story itself is fantastic, I could not put this book down! I could picture it so well while reading.
The emotions I felt throughout this book aswell!

This book has it all. Magic, tension, love, laughter, heartbreak and so much more. I will never stop thinking of this book and these characters.

Also that ending?! I can’t wait to read more!

You thought the circumstances were bleak in Eclipse Of The Mortal Realm? I promise you haven’t began to feel the level of heartbreak, pain and self doubt you will face in Realm of Silent Screams.

This is the kind of emotional damage, doubt and pain that every reader craves. The story will keep you coming back begging for more. Leaving you craving the pain to see how the characters handle the comeback from such a blow, only to come back even stronger.

The found family vibe is still going strong even with the world trying to tear this found family apart.

I loved we got more insight from Voratheil and Somniel in this book. It adds another level to the actions they took that led to the events that’s are breaking to the surface now.

The world building the author develops in two short books is breathtaking. The emotions depicted in the writing will take your breath away and have you feeling every thing as if you are in Kyrris, Vor or the dream realm. Right in the middle of the chaos.

I can’t wait to see how the next books plays out after the cliff hanger. Was this a happy ending? No. Absolutely not. This is dark, this is struggle and so so real. I’m screaming to know how this plays out.

Definitely recommend for those who love a dark story with all levels of struggle and emotional damage. And those who love seeing the characters actually go through hard struggles and choose to go on. Choose to overcome the odds even though it feels impossible.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I don’t even know how to explain this book without just saying… it hurt (in the best way). From the very beginning, it pulls you into this heavy, emotional atmosphere and just doesn’t let go.

The characters feel so real it’s almost uncomfortable—you feel everything they feel. The love, the grief, the frustration… all of it. And somehow, even when it’s dark, there are these small moments of warmth that hit even harder.

The writing is beautiful, immersive, and honestly kind of haunting. This is one of those stories that stays in your head long after you put it down.
I laughed, I cried, I got mad… and I’m still not over it.

Following on from the first book, this has the same captivating spell that the first book does except in a deeper and darker world. You'll feel everything the characters feel, the flaws and the strengths of them are amplified and I cannot recommend this book highly enough. if I could give it more than 5 stars, I absolutely would. Both eclipse of the mortal realm and Realm of silent screams are my Books of the year.

So much emotion was put into the writing of this book. The pain is oozing from every word. Was the author having a mental breakdown when writing this?! And when the twists happened with character and world development for growth…. Omg the emotional rollercoaster. I know this was a fantasy book but so much focus was put on how the reader is going to feel while reading this… i think i am going to be dead inside for a bit. I have been sucked dry by this book.
