He graduated from Moscow State University in 1937. In 1936-1941 he taught astronomy at the Moscow Pedagogical Institute. K. Liebknecht , in 1944-1949 he worked at the GAISh , in 1945-1973 - at the Institute of Physics of the Earth of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR. Since 1974 - employee of the Astronomical Council of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR.
