I enjoyed this read. Fun characters with a bit of intrigue and a good community setting. The storyline was interesting, and I happily anticipate the next intallment.
I have to admit I truly enjoy Ellen Dugan ebooks most when I am stuck in bed with an injury or illness. They are short, fluffy, have just enough magickal knowledge without getting deep into the weeds, and have a happy ending. So I am pleased that the latest start of a series became available when I pulled some muscle in my neck and shoulder. It checks all the boxes. Sometimes you don't want deep. I give 4 stars on a tea or cat mystery level. But, Ellen, you could do more.
