Grasp The Moment
Life for Georgia Adams has never been easy, but she’d at least hoped that a weekend in Vegas would have its perks. I think this book it’s as itself, a really quick and entertaining read. It started really funny and I thought I was gonna like it a lot.
It’s not the first book in the series, but it works as a standalone since it focuses on different couples; that said, I feel like having the context from the other books would have helped me get to know the characters better. They were... fine, so far, but, especially the secondary characters, they all seemed a bit indistinguishable to me. I did love Deli 🥹, though, the main character's daughter.
I also feel that, at a certain point, the chapters turned into a series of events, a collection of entertaining chapters, all to be said, that were short so good point there; and while they did advance the story, they didn't quite hang together seamlessly 😔.
What I do think is that reading this during times of stress or a reading slump, or when you have very little time to read, could make for a great reading experience. 😆
So with all this said, thanks to the author, Ziye' Taylor, for the ARC in exchange of an honest review, and I hope she finds the best readers for her new book, which I see it's already being loved by a lot of them❤️.

Grasp the Moment is the very first book that I read from Ziye Taylor and it absolutely will not be my last. I would say it very early in this review that I have no idea this was a part of a series until I was making this review. I think I need to commend Ziye for making this story feel like a standalone book. There wasnt a single moment where I felt like I was missing a certain part of the story.
The setup alone had me hooked. Georgia wakes up hungovered, handcuffed and wearing an engagement ring she has zero memory of getting. That's the kind of opening that grabs you by the collar immediately. What I loved most is that the author didnt just use this premise as a gimmick. The real story is everything that comes after that drunken night which was the two of them deciding what to actually do with this mess they've made.
And the characters. I need to talk about the characters. Derek is the kind of guy who makes you believe good men still exist. He's carrying a lot, more than you'd expect walking in. Watching him hold himself together with his heart and his sense of responsibility made him one of the most compelling male leads I've read in recent memory. Georgia matches him very well too. She doesn't just slot into his world, she grows into it, and that journey feels real.
The family dynamics are where the book really surprised me. When Derek came home and told his mother he was married, her reaction was very realistic and expected but it didnt excuse her actions after that because you can feel the tension between her and Georgia. The way that tension plays out is messy and human and sometimes infuriating in the exact right way. Huge credits to the author for not wrapping this conflict too quickly and neatly or making her too nice to her son's wife. His mom made my blood boil honestly because of some of her actions especially involving his ex and I hate how nice both Derek and Georgia was to her about it... I am glad it worked out in the end for the whole family.
One thing that stood out throughout the whole story was the team. The side characters, the nicknames, the way everyone shows up for each other without making a big production of it. That kind of easy, loyalty, friendship etc. is hard to write convincingly and the authir pulls it off very well. It made the world feel complete and relatable.
I only have one concern about the story. I feel like the characters are written too young. they were still in uni and yet they are already married. But I also feel like both our characters are written as mature individuals and I think it was because of their background and experience in life (Georgia with her parents and Derek being a teen father). These are young people navigating things that feel enormous, and while the author handled it with care, I could see some readers wanting a bit more time in these characters' lives before everything accelerated for them.
That's a small thing though. Overall this book is warm, funny in the right places, emotionally satisfying and genuinely easy to read. The representation matters too. Seeing a romance novel centered on POC characters where that's just part of who they are, not a plot point, not a teachable moment, just their lives, was refreshing. I loved it so much and I wish a lot more authors would include characters like them.

This was the book I was waiting for from Ziye. I’ve always had a heart for 4-year-old Delilah (Deli) and of course her sweet hot daddy or should I say Zaddy, Derek Perez. So, I was SO happy to get the ARC of Grasp the Moment. This is the 3rd book in The Moments Series and I ate it up!
This book starts off with Derek, who has been a single father since he was 17 to the cutest little girl, Delilah (Deli). He’s been doing double, nah, triple duty… taking care of his kid alone, going to school and playing on the hockey team – and never making it seem as though any of it was a chore. He decides to ask his mother (who I seriously can’t stand for parts of this book) for his inheritance so he can make a better and balanced life for Deli.
She promptly tells him no and that he’ll not see a dime of that money until he’s married and gives Deli a mom that she needs. So defeated, he prepares to go to Vegas with his friends to celebrate their friend’s birthday.

If you love accidental marriages, single-dad romances, and couples who grow together through life's challenges, Grasp the Moment is definitely worth picking up. I'm already excited to dive into the rest of the series!

Grasp the Moment by ziye taylor was a 5/5 stars. This book was absolutely amazing . I fell so in love with Derek he was so sweet and caring and Georgia was this silly and loving . I felt Georgia in so much of this book . She was emotional and Derek never made her feel like she wasn’t enough or that she couldn’t do something. Derek and Georgia relationship honestly was so cute. Derek and Delilah father and daughter relationship was already great but adding in Georgia made them this perfect family. I mean what’s not to love a hot single father that plays hockey and a beautiful fashion icon . Derek is overprotective of his girls and girl that right there made my heart jump but don’t get to crazy because Georgia will protect her Delilah .They are perfect for each other. And there so cute with Delilah . I couldn’t put this book down I was in awe kicking my feet laughing it was so amazing. Ziye books are always so well written and you can literally visualize it as you read it . This is the third book in the series and I will say it is as amazing as the others . This definitely has become my favorite book I can’t wait to get it on paperback. I want to say thank you to ziye for this arc I am in love with this book you did amazing . I can’t wait to see what else you put out in this world cuz I definitely will be reading it . So if you haven’t go put on your calendar July 31 for Grasp the moment. GIRL… imagine this! One day, you and your friend are at a bar. Life is getting tough so you and your male friend spill everything that’s been stressing you out to each other…. but we mix in tons of drinks. Did I mention that your friend is fine.com. Did I also mention that you’re gorgeous.com?!
Yeah this book had me screaming, giggling, kicking my feet, and quite literally panicking and holding my breath like wait… what just happened?! Georgia is quite literally here for a GOOD time!! She’s the girl you want to hang out with! She will hype you up, fight for you, and lift you up! She’s such a sweetheart and has the toughest battles that she faces. Derek is quite literally a heartthrob!! I mean look at the character art 😂🙂↔️😭!! He’s the goalie, he’s talented, he’s mature, he knows what he wants, he’s loving… he’s not perfect but he’s the man a lot of girls would want.
Hi… I really enjoyed the book if you couldn’t tell!!! Friendly critique I did feel a little towards the end that the storyline could’ve been a bit more condensed but happy I made it to the ending!

i always love a good marriage of convenience trope, and add in a single dad? i definitely had to read this one.
derek and georgia were definitely cute together, i just wish their relationship/story had more build up. their book is very fast-paced and some of the plot points kind of happen shockingly? like woah, we’re already moving in and kissing, but it’s very early into the book.
derek truly cared for georgia and reassured her whenever she needed it, which melted my heart multiple times. and georgia knew what she wanted from her time in college (and after), so i’m very happy she got her happy ending in that aspect as well. i will say, their public sexcapades… immediately sat. i was secretly hoping they would get a little freaky in public, and they did not disappoint. i was obsessed.
delilah, derek’s daughter, was absolutely adorable, and definitely my favourite character. her dialogue was cute and hilarious at the same time, and i loved the way she loved georgia and connected with her so easily. the first time she called her “mama”, i was tearing up a little.

This book was a total surprise. I feel like it deals with very serious topics for protagonists who are 21 and 22 years old: a single dad since he was 17 and an accidental marriage in the middle of college. We are talking about people who, in theory, would be in a stage of immaturity, just wanting to party and mess around, but here we saw characters behaving better than many adults in their 30s or 40s.
Beyond the marriage-of-convenience or accidental-marriage tropes, what I liked most was Derek and Georgia's relationship. Their foundation was friendship; they ended up married almost without realizing it, and what really strengthened them was continuing to build that bond while they faced the responsibility he had with his 4-year-old daughter. It was a beautiful, honest, and healthy relationship, with its mistakes and its good moments.
The story had an excellent turning point with the appearance of a third party, which was necessary for them to leap in their relationship. On the other hand, the spicy content was very decent and appropriate for the characters' age. Honestly, I loved it; I was left wanting to see an epilogue of them many years later, but it has been one of the best five-star reads I've had in the college romance genre in a long time.

This was such a cute and fun read. I read Capture the Moment but didn’t get to read Set the Moment before this ARC. However, I was still able to follow the book without a hitch and enjoy all the old characters and new ones. I haven’t read too many accidental marriage trope books, but I am a sucker for a single dad trope. Georgia and Derek already had a solid foundation with their friendship, and their bond was so pure. With so much going on in their lives, a marriage is for sure not what they needed, but they quickly turned it into a marriage of convenience that turned into true love. I loved how both people cared for each other, and how Georgia bonded with Delilah. Delilah needed that motherly love, and Georgia was the perfect person to do it. While Georgia thought she was full of flaws, Derek ensured her that she was perfect and never let her downplay herself. I loved the Mexican representation with Derek, his daughter, and family. Georgia fit just right in there bubble. I loved how both of them didn’t play about each other and overcame problems together. This was a refreshing book, and I can’t wait to read Denver’s story.

This was a fun Vegas to forever romance with plenty of family drama, heartfelt moments, and a surprise wedding that quickly turned into something more.
I loved Derek. He was such a supportive single dad, and the way he encouraged Georgia, even while working towards his dreams, especially during the fashion show, made it impossible not to root for them. Their little family dynamic was one of my favourite parts of the book.
The family drama definitely kept things interesting. Derek's mother was awful in the beginning, inviting his toxic ex back into his life even after she'd abandoned their daughter. The ex was manipulative, unhinged, and added plenty of tension. Georgia wasn't having an easy time either, dealing with her father's decision to marry his secretary, and the absolute breakdown of their relationship in the fallout.
Overall, this was entertaining with great family dynamics, a hero who always showed up when it mattered, and an ending that has me excited for Denver's story.

SUCH A CUTE READ!!!!! I loved the banter between Georgia and Derek it was honestly so cute !
So Derek has a kid Delilah I think they did a good job on not just completely forgetting he has a kid and never mention it she was there through out the story but we also got to see her relationship grow with Georgia as well i thought it was good
I think both mmcs complementes each other suited each other in the way they needed love and in way they didn't know they wanted what I didn't like while I did like all there cute moment it felt very quick like once second they were solely friends and nothing else to being married and acting married even when people weren't around not in like kissing or anything but like being very domestic very quick so I wonder if there was more behind the scenes in other books that they were side characters on also I needed a little more on the mom front that drama was squashed so quick you could miss it.
Overall I had so much fun reading this book it was very cute and Im very interested in reading more!
So Derek has a kid Delilah I think they did a good job on not just completely forgetting he has a kid and never mention it she was there through out the story but we also got to see her relationship grow with Georgia as well i thought it was good

Lemonade never lets you get in too much trouble, but a lemon drop sure will.
Some of the best things start with lemons, and that is what Grasp The Moment did— it gave us something delicious, a bit spicy, and sweet to enjoy as a summer read.
What was a fun night with friends in Vegas becomes a night full of commitment, a promise, and rings that Derek and Georgia were not expecting! Married now, Derek and Georgia try to navigate the dreams they want with unspoken feelings and heat growing between them.
Of course, hijacks and drama ensue. Because with a daughter, college, family, and friends (with sometimes helpful group chats), nothing will be simple for Derek and Georgia, but it will a be peachy HEA in the end.
So glad I got an ARC of this novel! Definitely make this book one of you read this summer if you when it releases. I throughly enjoyed every page and made me want to read the entire series again. Ziye’ gave me the fun I needed and characters I adored and want to hear more from.
Give this book and the Moments series a read— you won’t be disappointed!

I loved Capture the Moment, Set the Moment and Grasp the Moment!
Ziye' Taylor has created a universe that I love! Once Off Campus came out, I've found myself really loving college-age romance books/series. I'm especially a fan because of Cleo and Sienna being FMCs that are WOC and Derek is a Man of colour as well. But Georgia's personality since book 1 has had me waiting to see who she'd end up with and what would her story entail.
Grasp the Moment was great, I'm loving Delilah and wanted more of Derek's POV amongst the hockey boys. Once I read their brief interactions in book 2 that I couldn't believe that an accidental marriage would set the stage for their relationship.
Some of the "The Moments" parent's could go kick rocks respectfully lol. Derek has been nothing short of the best dad a little girl could ask for while juggling all that life brings. So I couldn't believe his mother or ex.
I don't know what more to say other than I really love this little universe and enjoyed the evolution of reading book 1 - 3

A fun, heartfelt, married-in-Vegas romance with plenty of laughs, chemistry, and emotional depth. The MCs' (Georgia and Derek) drunken Vegas marriage quickly turns into something neither of them expected, and I loved how their relationship grew into something real.
The MMC (Derek) completely stole the show for me. As a young single dad working toward his dreams, he was easy to root for, and the FMC's (Georgia's) journey of finding her own happiness balanced the story perfectly. Their banter, supportive relationship, and undeniable chemistry made this an enjoyable read (I ate it up in a day).
If you love accidental marriage, forced proximity, found family, single dad, and a slowish-burn romance, this one is definitely worth picking up!

Lemme tell you I’m always a sucker for a fine as fuck single dad. Add in the fact that he’s a hockey player on the same team as your besties man… a match made in heaven, or should I say Vegas.

ziye’ is a new-to-me author & when i saw the tropes, i was super excited to read!! i enjoyed the book!!
i’m always gonna reach for a single parent book and i’m glad i decided to give this a read! georgia & derek made a great couple. i loved how quickly they became a family and how immediate georgia took to delilah <3
it can be read as a standalone, but i think it’d be helpful to read the first 2 books in the series before jumping into this. at some points i felt a little lost because i didn’t know the other characters and i know it would’ve helped if i did. it wasn’t hard to figure out what was going on, but it definitely been better (for me) if i knew more backstories
but overall, it was really good! and i’m happy i read it!! i’m definitely gonna back & read the other books!

Um Hello?! Talk about DADDY! Derek is the epitome of daddy. I’m always going to pick up a single dad romance, and this one did not disappoint! Derek and Georgia were so easy to root for, and I loved how naturally Georgia fit into Deli’s life. The flirting, the accidental Vegas marriage, and the friends-to-lovers vibes had me hooked. While it can be read as a standalone, I do think reading the first two books first would help with some of the side characters. Overall, such a fun read, and now I definitely need to go back and read the rest of the series!

The main event is Deli! She’s too cute I love everything about her !! This book is fast paced, cute little summer read. I wish they go to know eachother more, obviously they were friends for only a couple months but I wanted more from the friendship/relationship. It is basically like instant lust, the way they were already kissing and touching from the start. They were cute together though, loved how Derek is attentive to her and her needs, making sure shes always good. The way Georgia was willing to help and protect her new family was so cute too, she didn’t play about Deli. Cute little fast reading for the summer, I think people would enjoy.

Watching Derek and Georgia's relationship progress from friendship to a marriage of convenience to even mmore was my favorite part because we really got to see them grow. And then there's adorable little Deli who stole the show. I cannot recommend this enough, so go download and read it!

When I started the book I typed this out…“I just went on the wildest ride of my life and I’m only 8 chapters in”.
It’s fast paced and a lovely read, it was just missing something for me after the 33% mark. It was enjoyable enough though and I’m glad I read it.

Ziyé you did your big one with this!!!!! Derek and Georgia were already my favorite side characters when I read the first two books in the moments series and seeing how they have grown as characters is truly amazing. This might be my fave book in the serious honestly

This is book 3 in the Moments series (😱 I actually can’t believe I’ve been here since book 1) and these 2 are my favourite so far.
We have Daddy Derek who is such a sweetie and a literal dad (he got lucky after doing it for the first time as a teenager) and Georgia aka blondie.
They go to Vegas for a friend’s birthday - both feeling like life just isn’t going how they planned - get drunk - wake up married… with a new puppy 😂
Derek decides to turn this oopsie into a mutually beneficial opportunity.
Ofc they eventually catch feelings and the rest is history.
This was such a cute story 😩 watching Georgia be a stepmom to the cutest cutie pie, Derek being an absolute angel by keeping her fed and just seeing him in dad mode had me meltinngg
If you want a good cozy story or just a palate cleanser in between your heavy emotional reads, this is definitely a nice one.
