"Her mother was Daisy. Her grandmother was Daisy. The literal chain of Daisies went back for at least a hundred years."The Daisy Chain Flower Shop used to be a staple in Dream Harbor but after a string of weddings ending...quite poorly...there's murmurings floating about the town.
Scratch that, there's an outright witch hunt and all the fingers are pointed at Daisy. No one will buy her flowers for any event that remotely deals with love - no weddings, Valentine's day, Beltane (pagan holiday about fertility) (don't ask), or even baptisms - for the fear of the subject being cursed.
"It's really all besides the point," Daisy said, "I'm not cursed. There's no such thing as curses and even if there were, flower crowns for Beltane have nothing to do with weddings."
But the flower shop cannot survive on funerals alone. And when Daisy's ex-fiancé walks into her flower shop with his NEW fiancée on his arm, she makes a calculated (and possibly grievous) decision.
And then the gears start spinning. If she can convince the town that Daisy is not, in fact, unlucky in love...then maybe the flower shop can be saved.
"Really David, it's fine with me. Like you said, we've both moved on." Daisy smiled and waived at Elliot in the doorway. "In fact, here's my new boyfriend now. Elliot, come say hi!"
But what happens with a decidedly fake relationship turns into something more? After two failed attempts at marriage, could Daisy be ready for something real?
Whew! Daisy was a breath of fresh air... fresh flowers? Either way, this was exactly the book I needed in my life right now.

I've been reading some really fabulous but intense books, thus when this one popped up on my Libby page, I leapt at the palate cleanser.
This was a wonderful addition to the Dream Harbor lore - full of fun escapades, mischievous moments, and (of course) a bit of spice sprinkled in.
I liked Daisy and Elliot together - some characters just click and make me go, "awww" and the pair of them certainly did that.
I also was living for the Beltane festival. Yes, it's technically used in pagan worshipping circles...but it's also an excuse to wear flower crowns and throw a town festival, so of course the Dream Harbor residents go gaga over it. Hilarious!
The one thing that I was disappointed about was that I was expecting more regarding

[1.0⭐] 𝙇𝙖 𝙁𝙡𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧í𝙖 𝙙𝙚 𝙡𝙖 𝙂𝙪𝙞𝙧𝙣𝙖𝙡𝙙𝙖 𝙙𝙚 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙜𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙖𝙨 es una novela de romance contemporáneo escrita por Laurie Gilmore y publicada en 2026. En esta sexta novela (séptimo libro si contamos la historia 4.5) de la saga “Dream Harbor”, conocemos a Daisy, la dueña de una floristería sobre la que pesa el rumor de una supuesta maldición que arruina todas sus relaciones amorosas. Cuando Elliot, un arquitecto recién llegado al pueblo tras un divorcio, entra por primera vez a su tienda, ambos terminan fingiendo una relación que, poco a poco, comienza a convertirse en algo real.
No tenía ni ganas de escribir esta reseña. Incluso, cuando un libro no me gusta, normalmente termino con algo que comentar, analizar o criticar porque al menos me generó alguna emoción. Sin embargo, con este no fue así; no me entusiasmó lo suficiente como para sentarme a escribir sobre él. Lo terminé más por compromiso que por interés y, cuando lo cerré, lo único que pensé fue: "por fin, soy libre".
Puede que esté siendo muy severa con este libro, pero de verdad estoy harta de esos autores que estiran una saga simplemente porque vende. Llega un punto en que deja de sentirse como una historia escrita porque había algo que contar y empieza a parecer un producto publicado únicamente para seguir generando dinero. Sé que puede sonar duro, pero esa fue exactamente la sensación que me dejó esta novela. No me molestan las sagas largas cuando cada entrega aporta algo nuevo; lo que me molesta es cuando la historia ya no tiene nada que decir y aun así siguen apareciendo libros.
No sé qué sentido tiene hacer una saga tan larga para no tener absolutamente NADA que contar. De verdad, NADA. Fueron más de 350 páginas donde prácticamente no ocurre ningún acontecimiento importante. Sentí que podría haber leído únicamente el último capítulo y habría entendido todo lo relevante de la novela. El resto fueron cientos de páginas de escenas que no hacen avanzar la historia, que no desarrollan realmente a los personajes y que solo alargan una trama que perfectamente podría haber ocupado menos de la mitad.
De hecho, ni siquiera sé cómo resumir este libro porque realmente no pasa nada. Daisy tiene una floristería y en el pueblo creen que está maldita porque todas sus relaciones terminan mal. Elliot, un arquitecto que lleva un tiempo pasando prácticamente inadvertido en Dream Harbor, empieza a acercarse a ella. Deciden fingir que son pareja, después dejan de fingir y se convierten en pareja de verdad. Fin. Eso es todo. Entre medio no ocurre nada que cambie realmente el rumbo de la historia, no hay giros interesantes, no hay conflictos memorables y no hay tensión. Solo relleno, relleno y más relleno de absolutamente nada.
Lo peor es que ni siquiera el romance consigue salvar la novela. La relación entre Daisy y Elliot me pareció completamente plana. Nunca sentí química entre ellos y el enamoramiento sucede tan rápido que cuesta creerlo. Más que dos personas construyendo una relación, parecían dos personajes destinados a terminar juntos porque el guion así lo exigía. Me dio exactamente igual si acababan juntos o no.
Daisy nunca terminó de transmitirme una personalidad interesante y Elliot, aunque es amable, se siente increíblemente insípido. Su rasgo más distintivo parecía ser sonrojarse cada dos páginas. Ninguno logró que me involucrara emocionalmente con su historia y, como consecuencia, tampoco conseguí preocuparme por lo que les ocurría.
Otra cosa que me decepcionó fue la premisa de la supuesta maldición. Cuando leí la sinopsis pensé que ese sería el eje central de la historia y que daría pie a situaciones entretenidas o incluso un pequeño misterio dentro del romance. Sin embargo, termina siendo un elemento desaprovechado que apenas tiene impacto. Era una idea con mucho potencial y la autora decidió hacer lo mínimo con ella.
El ritmo fue desesperantemente lento. Había capítulos completos que sentía que podía eliminar sin que cambiara absolutamente nada. Más de una vez me descubrí leyendo por pura inercia, esperando que por fin ocurriera algo que justificara seguir avanzando. Ese momento nunca llegó. Fue, sin ninguna duda, el libro más aburrido de toda la saga.
Los primeros libros de “Dream Harbor” nunca fueron obras maestras, pero al menos eran romances acogedores, fáciles de leer y perfectos para desconectar. Este, en cambio, me hizo sentir que la autora ya agotó todas las historias que este pueblo podía ofrecer. A estas alturas tengo la impresión de que las portadas son mucho mejores que los libros que contienen.
Ya hasta puedo apostar cuál será el siguiente; contará la historia del hermano de Elliot, que es contratista, con la veterinaria del pueblo. Ya parece bastante evidente que cada personaje secundario terminará teniendo su propio libro, tenga o no una historia interesante que justificar.
Finalmente, puedo decir que 𝙇𝙖 𝙁𝙡𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧í𝙖 𝙙𝙚 𝙡𝙖 𝙂𝙪𝙞𝙧𝙣𝙖𝙡𝙙𝙖 𝙙𝙚 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙜𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙖𝙨 fue una lectura tediosa de principio a fin. Me costó terminarla, nunca logré conectar con sus personajes y sentí que desperdició una premisa que prometía mucho más de lo que terminó ofreciendo. Es el libro más flojo y aburrido de toda la saga “Dream Harbor”.

First off I completely forgot my kindle synced between CR and read on goodreads was on so excuse the few days late update - Haven't opened much lol || I really enjoyed this one! I just love small town; tight knit feel reads. Daisy and Elliot's interactions and development were super cute at times funny from how awkward they both were 😂 Daisy did lowkey get on my nerves at times lol the way she kept nipping at every glimpse of chance the guy thought they could have together 😂 you know the people who suck the excitement out of something you're hopeful about; that was her 🤣 like I get they both have baggage and whatnot but lowkey felt bad for him lol but that made the relationship development between them even more cuter!

Soft, earnest, sincere. I really believed I was about to fall completely into this story. And in some ways, I did… but not without hesitation.
The premise itself was difficult to fully settle into. The idea that an entire town genuinely believes a flower shop is cursed felt a bit too exaggerated to be convincing, and that lingering disbelief created a distance I could never quite shake. Instead of feeling immersed, I often felt like I was observing from the outside, especially with the third-person point of view, which made it harder to emotionally connect in the way I wanted to. 😬😬
That said, Daisy was easy to care about. She’s kind, well-meaning, and undeserving of the reputation placed on her. Even in moments where she came across as slightly immature, there was something very human about her. Something that made it difficult not to root for her despite my reservations about the story itself.
Elliot on the other hand, brought a quiet charm that worked incredibly well. He’s a little awkward, a little unsure, but undeniably genuine. The “he falls first” dynamic is always compelling, and here it felt especially soft. His hesitation and nervousness made his feelings feel more real, more grounded.
There’s a gentleness to the writing, a sense of longing that almost pulls you in completely.
The small-town atmosphere was warm and easy to settle into, giving the story a comforting, almost cozy tone. The diary entries from Daisy’s aunt added a lovely layer of depth and sentimentality, and her relationship with Iris stood out as one of the more grounded and heartfelt aspects of the book as well. 🫶🏼🫶🏼
Overall, this was a sweet and approachable read—something that flows easily and offers a gentle romantic experience. It has its charming moments and likable characters, but it never quite reached the emotional depth needed to make it truly memorable. It’s not a story I would necessarily return to, but it’s one I can appreciate. 😌

These books are such comfort reads for me. I love seeing all of the characters come back in every story. This series has really improved since The Pumpkin Spice Cafe.

I really wanted to love this one more than I did. The Dream Harbor setting is still ridiculously cozy, and I’ll never complain about getting another excuse to wander around this little town, but Daisy and Elliot’s story just didn’t grab me the way I hoped it would.
I liked the fake dating setup and there were definitely some cute moments, especially with Elliot, but their relationship felt like it went from barely knowing each other to being completely wrapped up in each other a little too quickly. I wanted more time for the chemistry to build instead of feeling like we were being told they were falling for each other.
Daisy was sweet, but I found both of them a little frustrating at times, and some of the misunderstandings started to feel more annoying than entertaining. The story was also very predictable, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing with a cozy romance, but this time I felt like I could see nearly every turn coming.
But it was an easy, comforting read and exactly the kind of book you can fly through when you want something light. I still enjoyed being back in Dream Harbor, and the flower shop atmosphere was probably my favourite part. 🌸

The Daisy Chain Flower Shop by The Daisy Chain Flower Shop is easily one of my favorite installments in the Dream Harbor series so far. I absolutely loved the premise, and both Daisy and Elliot were such likable, well-developed main characters. Their relationship felt genuinely sweet and refreshing — they were so cute together, and I really appreciated that there was very little unnecessary drama between them.
What stood out to me most was how mature and adult their relationship felt. Their communication was mostly healthy, uncomplicated, and honest, which made the romance feel very comforting and believable. It was nice to read a romance where problems weren’t dragged out for the sake of tension.

The Daisy Chain Flower Shop by The Daisy Chain Flower Shop is easily one of my favorite installments in the Dream Harbor series so far. I absolutely loved the premise, and both Daisy and Elliot were such likable, well-developed main characters. Their relationship felt genuinely sweet and refreshing — they were so cute together, and I really appreciated that there was very little unnecessary drama between them.
What stood out to me most was how mature and adult their relationship felt. Their communication was mostly healthy, uncomplicated, and honest, which made the romance feel very comforting and believable. It was nice to read a romance where problems weren’t dragged out for the sake of tension.

This has been such a fun and silly series that I really enjoyed. Dream Harbor is the quintessential cutesy small town where everyone knows everyone else as well as their personal business too. Most of the installments are flat out spicy hot reads that you will never see on the Hallmark channel. This installment picks up after the last one where we met Daisy and Elliot at Jeanie's and Logan’s wedding.
The book summary pretty much lays out the primary storyline of Dream Harbor native, Daisy, who took over the family flower shop from her mother and grandmother, Daisy May and Daisy June respectively. Daisy has been back in town for about a year now after a failed marriage and a failed engagement brought her back because she had nowhere else to go. Elliot landed in Dream Harbor about a year ago fleeing from his own failed marriage.
The flower shop is struggling without wedding business and can’t survive on funeral business. Daisy needs to prove to the Dream Harbor residents that she and her shop are not cursed in love. Elliot’s mom is coming to town because “she’s worried about Elliot being alone”. So, Daisy and Elliot agree to help each other out by pretending that they are dating in order to make Elliot’s mom happy and not worried about him and let the Dream Harbor townspeople see that Daisy is not cursed when it comes to happy relationships. What could possibly go wrong? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
There is also a secondary storyline of Daisy and Elliot discovering old pictures (from the 1920’s) of one of Daisy’s ancestors and one of Elliot’s ancestors and it appears they knew each other and possibly dated. I actually really enjoyed this storyline; and was just as curious as they were about finding out what happened.
The character development of Daisy and Elliot along with the continuing development of other Dream Harbor residents like Iris and a couple of others was well done. The pacing was steady, and the storyline, once again, was cute, funny and entertaining. The writing was on par for the series, and maybe just a little toned down, not much, but just a tad. Ate this tf up. Would I of enjoyed this so much if I hadn't read the first 5, probably not, BUT Laurie Gilmore pulls it out of the bag yet again. The fake dating would have been more convincing if he clearly wasn't in love with here from the start lol. Dream harbour series ranking:

I have been patiently awaiting this release since I finished the last book in the Dream Harbor Series. I have LOVED each and every one of the books so far and this one holds a particularly special place in my heart 🌼💖✨ Just as the name Daisy has been passed down through the generations of this family, my beloved grandmother was also called Daisy; known for making daisy chains 🌼 Sadly she is no longer with us, however, I felt a connection to her strong, caring, and loving character through the Daisy found in this book.
Gilmore has won me over, once again, with a charming small-town romance with a fake relationship dynamic. You can also expect ‘he falls first’, plenty of cameo appearances, and an intriguing mystery that brings this couple closer than you might think 💭

Daisy was such a loveable character. Independent, caring, and kind. Despite her past cutting her off to love, she was a fun and entertaining character to read about. I couldn’t help but feel for her and the poor rep she got due to unsuccessful relationships. There was something so pure, real, and genuine about her; it was hard not to want the best for her.

Elliot was quite the charmer and SUCH a gentleman. I could happily have an Elliot in my life. He was so respectful of Daisy’s feelings, never pushing her despite being the one that ‘falls first’. He is the ultimate book/history nerd 🤓 He may be a little awkward at times but he is all the more loveable for it. He was your shy, introverted type for sure, making him very relatable. And with his own fair share of past relationships problems, the two were able to become vulnerable with each other and grow stronger together. It was really very sweet 🥲

This romance felt so tender and gentle to read. The smooth writing style completely sucked me in and I was held from start to finish. The sense of longing runs from their very first interaction, yet with a slow build up, it pulls you along, awaiting their next move. I also loved the diary entries from Daisy's aunt, they added an extra layer of love and a stronger emotional connection between her and Elliot as they bonded over the past.
Overall, this was such a sweet and enjoyable read. It is a fairly simple story but it is ALL about the FEELS 💖 This story was literally MADE for this time of year, and I was blessed enough to be able to enjoy it in all its glory in the beautiful sunshine ☀️ I always feel like coming home when I return to Dream Harbor and this book felt no different. My only issue is: I always seem to go through this series’s books too quickly and then I am lost waiting for the next one 🙇🏻♀️ somebody please tell me there’s another one to come? 👀

3.5⭐️ i want to start by saying i enjoyed this book. my favorite romances are almost always country-small town, and this was definitely it. while saying that, this was honestly probably my least favorite in the series, idk if it’s just because this series is so long and drawn out or what but i just didn’t love it all that much. i also feel like this book was more focused on sex and just more inappropriate than the other ones which doesn’t really bother me to much, except just it felt different than her other writings. also the ending felt just super off for me, how they “fake broke up” and were telling everyone that even tho they were really together i get the whole curse thing but that just made no sense, and then all of the sudden we skip to 10 and 20 years later??? like what😭💔idk. tbh tho i absolutely loved elliot i loved his shy guy personality it was honestly just so adorableeee💗💗🥹

Okay, I think she saved the best for last! 🌼💛 The Daisy Chain Flower Shop is hands down my favorite book in the Dream Harbor series, and I’m honestly a little sad to say goodbye to this town and these characters.
I loved being back in Dream Harbor one more time, and the flower shop setting was absolutely adorable. Daisy and Elliot were so easy to root for! Give me fake dating, small-town gossip, a couple of exes causing trouble, unexpected love, humor, and just enough spice, and apparently I’m very happy. 😂
I especially loved Daisy’s whole storyline with the town believing she’s somehow “cursed” when it comes to love and weddings. Poor woman! And then Elliot quietly steps in to help her save the flower shop, while somehow finding exactly what he needed too. Their relationship was sweet, funny, and romantic without feeling forced.
And if you’re an audiobook person... the narration was SO good. C.J. Bloom and Teddy Hamilton brought so much warmth and personality to Daisy and Elliot. I genuinely didn’t want it to end.
This entire series has been such a cozy little escape for me, but this one felt extra special. It had all the charm and heart I wanted, and that whole idea that sometimes the greatest love is the one you never expected to find just got me. 🥹🌼

This book was soooo boring, I'm sorry to say. It literally had nothing new to say, and the main characters were so insecure, immature and cliché 😓😥😫. The MC's are two lonely, dull, pitiful individuals who just happen to fall in love for spending some time in each other's vicinity, without really having anything in common, except for their physical attraction for each other.
Usually, a nerdy/intellectual MMC is my all time favorite, and Elliott was a really nice guy and a sweetheart overall. However, I do not for one second believe that he would be a divorced thirty something grown ass man who would be constantly blushing for the smallest things... Yes, a shy guy is charming, but Elliott got me wondering if he had some underlying health issue. Because it is not normal to blush in every single chapter for the most insignificant things (i.e. looking at her lips), and it just infantilized him imo, which I didn't find attractive in any way, shape or form.
Both MC's kept comparing the other to their previous relationship, which got repetitive and annoying fast. Like, move on already 🥱😤.
Also, there's a "mystery" (giving it that name generously) that was totally meh, and in the end when resolved, underwhelming and anticlimactic.
Read at your own risk, but I wish I had never picked up this novel and now I'll never get those hours of my life back 🙃...

este o serie simpatică, dar DOAMNE ESTE slab scrisă. ORI e traducerea de vină, ORI e cartea problema. În opinia mea, frazele sunt scurte și repetitive, nu au o substanță, iar dialogurile dintre personaje sunt, de cele mai multe ori, CRINGE și enervante.
relația dintre personaje se desfășoară într-un ritm de zici că e la F1. Personajele abia apucă să interacționeze și deja sunt îndrăgostite. Da, înțeleg că este un romance 300+ pagini, dar iartă-mă asta nu este o scuză. IMO se poate scrie o poveste de dragoste convingătoare și în același număr de pagini….PT CA AM CITIT cărți bune sub 300 de pagini.
Personajele sunt lipsite de profunzime, povestea este banală, iar partea de romance nu are chimie. unele volume din serie sunt mai ok decât altele, însă este enervant să le tot cauți printre cele mediocre.
coperțile sunt cele care salvează această serie și motivul pentru care am continuat să îi mai dau șanse.

The Daisy Chain Flower Shop was such a cozy, charming read! Laurie Gilmore truly knows how to create small-town settings that feel warm, inviting, and impossible not to want to step into.

Zolang Laurie winkels en personages blijft verzinnen in dit dorpje, blijf ik ze lezen. I love love love small town romance boeken. Helaas vond ik dit verhaal over Daisy en Elliot wel iets minder. Het was voor mij iets te veel instalove en ze gedroegen zich ook iets jonger/kinderlijker dan ik had gehoopt. Ik miste een beetje extra diepgang, maar hij las wel weer heeerlijk snel weg en ik vind het zo leuk als andere personages ook langskomen. Ik vond de extra hoofdstukken van Daisy's tante wel echt een leuke toevoeging.

I think Daisy and Elliot really saved this book for me 3.5 stars.
Elliot especially stood out because he feels noticeably different from the other MMCs in the series. He has a steadier, more understated presence that made the romance feel more believable and less formulaic, which I really appreciated this far into the series.
I also enjoyed the diary entries and the extra layer of history woven into the story. It gave the book a sense of identity outside of just being “the next small-town romance” and added a little more depth to the overall atmosphere.
However, this series is definitely reaching the point where there are too many characters. I understand the intention — creating a close-knit community where everyone overlaps — but every new book makes it harder to remember who everyone is and why they matter. At some point, an entire town of recurring characters stops feeling immersive and starts feeling overcrowded.
For me, the biggest thing holding this back from a higher rating was the lack of emotional tension. I need romance books to unsettle me a little. I want moments where things genuinely feel fragile or complicated, where I’m desperate for the characters to figure it out. Here, most of the conflict stays internal, and while that works to a degree, it never fully pulled me in emotionally.

The Daisy Chain Flower Shop is the 6th book in the Dream Harbor series. This is just a fun, easy to get into, cozy small town romance series. Each book is a standalone but you’ll continue to see the characters and shops around town in all of the books. Each book is usually themed/around a season and they’re just low angst and cozy! This one has fake dating where he falls first.
Daisy owns the flower shop in town, and yes it is named after her and actually all of the women in her family (they’re all named Daisy oddly, quirkily, or cutely depending on how you see it lol). Because of her bad luck in relationships and the fact that the last few weddings she did flowers for have lead to divorces too, people are saying her flower shop is cursed…which means business is hurting. She’s also hurting when her ex arrives in her shop with his new fiancée talking about how they want to have their wedding in her small town. Panicking, Daisy says she has a new boyfriend and that it’s Elliott, who just so happens to be in her shop at the time! Elliott has been secretly into Daisy since he first moved to town a year or so back and is very excited to be her fake (hopefully not-so fake for long) boyfriend.
We get some moments of Daisy looking through old family photos and reading her great aunt’s diary about a romance she had in the 1920s as well. Elliott and her were cute, he’s smitten and ready to prove how great they are together. A solid addition to the series, not my absolute fav but somewhere in the middle range for me. I do appreciate the books in this series being short and easy to fly through. I grab them on audio and always enjoy being back in this comforting, cozy small town!

Oh we are so back after the last two books. Fake dating for the win forever and always. Also I may have shed a tear at the end briefly because I thought this series was over. Yes this is a guilty pleasure but I’m not guilty.

Cute, heart-warming, funny and just so so sweet, The Daisy Chain Flower Shop is such a great adition to Dream Harbor series and I'm all for it. Loved the story of Daisy and Elliot. Loved how perfectly they fit together, how compatible despite their differences they are.
This one is definitely one my favourite stories in the series. So so good.
