Love this as some self-improvement for the career specifically. This is in my desk at work, so I'll have to wait until we can get back into the office to take a look more closely at my notes. I took a lot of notes on this!

Good to have on-hand for reference. Valuable if you're opting in to the Korn-Ferry Leadership Architect competencies model.

This book is my bread and butter at work. It helps me develop myself and find the competencies I need to work on. The explanations are clear and extensive.

This version is much more condensed than the previous one. Great for developing leadership skills.

My 2nd most gifted book. A manual for assessing your own strengths and weaknesses, and the others you work with. I refer to it regularly.

Challenging to read cover to cover. I will keep it as a reference for future situations.

The recommend approach is to skim it, identify 2-3 key area most important for you, then work on those chapters, then revisit in a few months.

I picked this because it seems to be recommended by corporate managers when promoting employees at all levels, so I feel reasonably content using this framework to nourish my leadership and inter-* and intra-* skills.

Ping me if you start reading it and choose your roadmap. Retention & outcome will improve for both of us if we connect on this.

My first focus-on-learning-and-reflecting-on-that areas are Politics, Strategy, and Organizational Awareness.

While my recommendation is this is a better reference book than a cover to cover read, I did embrace a challenge to read it cover to cover. The insights on areas for potential growth and overusing skill sets allow individuals to focus on personal and professional development. There are developmental goals, self assessments, and recommended follow up materials. A must for anyone wanting to continue to develop as a leader.
