Now a New York Times & USA Today Bestselling Series!
Knowing what she wants and how to get it is Kerrie’s specialty. She is after a lawyer. But the game plan changes when it comes to men. Losing control is never an option, so when her blind date disregards her long list of "wooing" requirements and does what he pleases, she discovers it's not only exactly what she's always desired, but also what she's always needed.
While SWEET RETREAT might be short in length, it’s full of sweet love between two people who discover an instant connection.
A cozy mountain retreat, a mysterious but very appealing stranger and a night of passion all combine beautifully in the last novella of this decadent series. I enjoyed them all and will look for more titles by this delightful author! You can read the whole series in an afternoon!
I read a lot of romances and I buy into all kinds of stuff but unsafe behavior isn't one of them. I kind of couldn't believe what I was hearing here. Had to rewind a couple times just to be sure. And to think these characters are nearly forty years old!!
SPOILERS: To believe a therapist would convince her male friend to seduce her female friend is pretty far out there, and that Dylan should keep his identity a secret makes it even worse. Then for Kerrie to start chatting up a stranger (Dylan) in a bar and letting him buy her drinks while waiting for another man to show up is pretty shabby. They go into another room and within an hour they're making out and she's totally forgotten about the 'blind date' she was there to meet. Nice. Meanwhile Dylan's planned ahead and booked a hotel room because... he just assumes they'll need one, right? Kerrie still doesn't know who this guy is (some cowboy named Dylan?) when she goes up to this stranger's room and is alone with him and eatin' chocolate cake and yadda, yadda, yadda. Wow. I know this is just a fantasy but... Sheesh.
On a brighter note, the narration is good. George Wickham has a smooth mellow voice, and Angela Moore purrs like a kitten.
Well, this book was not really for me. The other books in this series were second chance romances and worked well for novellas but the main characters in this story didn’t know each other at the start. I’m not a fan of insta-love stories so it didn’t resonate with me. Perhaps it will for you. Happy reading and listening!
This was the fourth book in the series and quite different from the first three but the whole love at first sight thing just did not work for me. Things move way too quickly and I couldn’t connect with the the story or the characters.
That being said, it is a quick read and the narration is good if you want a short audiobook.
Kerrie and Dylan's story is truly amazing. Watching these two fall in love with each other so fast was wonderful. You won't be able to stop reading this book.
This is well written and edited story. It's a nice little quick feel good book. Each book in this series has likeable characters and enjoyable storylines. I love that they are offered in audio!
