About the author

Margit Sandemo was a Norwegian-Swedish historical fantasy author. She has been the best-selling author in the Nordic Countries since the 1980s, when her novel series of 47 books, The Legend of the Ice People, was published. She has also written many other book series such as Häxmästaren and Legenden om Ljusets rike.

To było prawdopodobnie moje pierwsze zetknięcie się z czymś w stylu erotyka w życiu. Czytałam pod kołdrą z wypiekami na twarzy, zastanawiając się nad tym, co może zrobić ogon demona.

Potem skojarzyłam, że to 33 część z całości Sagi, i tak, przeczytałam całość, wszystkie części, niektóre po dwa razy. I działo się, oj działo się. Tak, tak, nastolatki kilkanaście lat temu też nie czytały laureatów Bookera czy Nobla, a nie było BookToka :P

Kiedyś Saga o Ludziach Lodu, a dziś i romanse i young adult i reportaże i bell hooks. Wszystko ma swój czas.

I have a special place in my heart for "sagan om isfolket" and there isn't a book in the series that I have not liked. Yet. I like that in every book there is history involved. The first book takes palce in 1581 and this oe I read now ends in 1910. And between all that there is SO much history and Margit makes the history fit in the book so well. They are supernatrual but still realistic. What can I say?... I love these books.

Pierwsza połowa to było coś niesamowicie żenującego, mózg wypłynął mi co najmniej kilka razy a oczy wyszły z orbit. Potem było normalniej, ale ten tom cały jest taki meh. 🫣 Paranormal romance pełną gębą 😅

Min første Margit Sandemo-bok! Synes det var bra underholdning jeg! Skrevet på en måte som gjør det lett å følge historien og lage sine egne bilder i hodet, og fantasirik. Passer godt til lydbok. Hvis du ikke rødmer lett da.

Men protagonisten velger virkelig giftige menn altså, hjelpe seg.

If I had to explain to an English speaking friend about this series; Sagan om Isfolket (The legend of the Ice people) I'd first have to teach them the Swedish word: Tantsnusk.

Tantsnusk is a genre that includes romance, alot of naughtiness (is that even a word?) and a story where the main character wants somone (usualy sexually) and SHOULDN'T for some reason.
It's basicly like "Fifty Shades of grey".

Sagan om Isfolket is like a historical "Shades of grey" but with a LOT of magic and myths and stuff going on at the same time.

This doesn't have to be bad, don't get me wrong! These books are page-turners and you really get to know all of the characters of Isfolket, while they make babies and then follow them growing up and so forth.

I don't like these books as much as alot of people do. I like them and enjoy reading them from time to time. Just like I enjoy Mc Donalds. It's a quick lunch, tastes good but doesn't fill you up for long. And you don't want to eat it too often.

This book in particular was not a favourite of mine... The love story just got too weird for me.

Boken griper tag redan från början, som de flesta av Margit Sandemos böcker. Boken handlar om Vanja som upptäcker ett litet grått nystan i sitt rum. Det är demondrottningen som har lagt sitt barn där. Med rasande hastighet växer barnet och Vanja döper det till Tamlin. Vad hon inte vet är att Tamlin är nattens demon, utsänd av Tengel den onde för att spionera på isfolket.

Tamlin blir förvånad när Vanja kan se honom. De båda blir oskiljaktiga, vilket bara kan sluta i katastrof.

Margit Sandemos böcker gör mig aldrig besviken, inte heller denna. Jag lyssnar med stort välbehag på boken, medan jag kör genom den skånska naturen. Jag grips av Tamlin och Vanjas öden, tycker synd om båda och hoppas att det ska gå bra för dem. Slutet blir både som jag hoppas och inte. Du får läsa boken så förstår du vad jag menar.

Vanja to kolejna niezwykła dziewczyna w rodzie Ludzi Lodu. Demon Nocy, Tamlin ma za zadanie szpiegować członków tej wielopokoleniowej rodziny, nawiedzać we śnie i rozpytywać jakie mają plany na przyszłość. Ma to wesprzeć Tengela Złego, żeby mógł wyprzedzić plany tej rodziny. Nikt tego Demona nie widzi poza Vanją. Jak to u Sandemo bywa - no musi się zawiązać romans między Vanją, a Tamlinem.

Ucieszyłam się, że znowu wracamy do kwestii Tengela Złego, ale nie usatysfakcjonował mnie przebieg tego wątku. W zasadzie wszystko skupia się na relacji jaka wytwarza się między Vanją, a Tamlinem oraz jak Demon Nocy wpływa na zachowanie dziewczyny. Książka nie była zła, ale traktuję ją jako kolejny zapychacz do serii. Także z mojej strony dwie gwiazdki i idę dalej.

„Demon nocy” z pewnością będzie jednym z moich ulubionych tomów Sagi. Historia Vanji, jej sekret i to, do czego została wyznaczona porwała mnie niemal tak, jak pierwsze tomy serii, zwłaszcza jej druga połowa, która jest pełna napięcia i świetnie napisana. Największym jednak plusem jest sama Vanja, która nie wyróżnia się na pozór od innych zwyczajnych członków Ludzi Lodu, a jednak wykazuje się ogromną siłą, odwagą i szczerym, czystym uczuciem, jakim darzy Tamlina. Brakowało mi tylko tego duchowego aspektu ich związku, który co prawda pojawił się przy końcu, ale tylko na chwilę. Jednak poza tym „Demon nocy” jest dla mnie jednym z najlepszych tomów Sagi o Ludziach Lodu.

Na, ha már erotikus regény, akkor legyen különleges! Ez az egyik legfűtöttebb sztori a sorozatban, sokkal izgalmasabb egy démon szívét elnyerni a szexen keresztül, mint amikor a gazdag milliomos és az önbizalomhiánytól küzdő diáklány szexelését kell olvasni :D
Mindemellett Tamlin kiszabadítása túl egyszerűen ment, ott lehetett volna bonyolultabb, részletesebb a szöveg.

Zasadniczo to ta część sagi jest bardzo dobrze napisana, tylko czy konieczne były sceny erotyczne z udziałem 12-16 latki? Na początku czytałam z wielkim niesmakiem, po chwili części pomijałam. Słowo "dziewczynka" nie powinno występować w odniesieniu do głównej bohaterki scen erotycznych.
To zalatuje promowaniem pedofilii.
