Jake continues his diplomatic mission to the Pantheon of Life, totally not spending the majority of his time hunting and enjoying the company of a certain goddess...
After a successful hunting trip with only one assassination attempt on his life from a major multiversal faction, Jake heads back to his temporary residence within the Pantheon of Life with a new friend in tow.
Behind the scenes, several projects are underway as Jake’s new bow is getting worked on after his last one broke. His archery is steadily improving, and if all goes well, perhaps it would soon be possible to have a full Nevermore reunion party.
So many things to do, and so many people to meet before the diplomatic mission comes to an end. Jake will have to return to the Order once more through the void... a journey that will surely be without incident, because when has anything ever gone wrong somewhere called the void?

I know I’m being ridiculous.
Why can’t the next book be done and ready to read the moment I finish the one I’m reading. I’m a junkie, I’m hooked. I love these damn books and I consume them like a crack head smokes crack. Then I wait months using lesser books to get my fix. Then read these in 2 days the moment they drop. I am aware I’m insane and needy. But can you please just work 24/7 365 and make the books always ready for when I need them. Cause I NEED THEM.
Slightly more seriously, I do love this series and have been glad to see it maintains the same tone and gravity as the first book. Which is very difficult. I would say the only other series close is Defiance of the Fall. They both change and morph but hold the core of themes and tones well which keeps me ready. Not too many leaps in power. Not too few. The OPness is moderated well enough so as to not become annoying. He does still get hurt and have to push. Very well done. coming from a fan and a junkie reader.

A lot like the previous volume, this is very much an intermediary book bridging from one arc to the next. That said, there were parts of this book that I really enjoyed, such as Arnold and Sandy's conquest of the moon, the whole warpsnatcher subplot, Jake being forced to teach a class, and the introduction of the next big threat, but I also felt like the overall pace of the book was a bit slow and it felt odd how often the book brought up that Jake "really needed" to fix that thing, but he never actually got around to fixing it, sure I can understand if he's not really there in terms of progression, but it felt weird that he kept bringing it up and yet didn't actually get around to it. Also, Jake didn't really have any challenging fights this time around (well, apart from teaching a class, the horror of any antisocial introvert), which was disappointing. On the other hand it was nice to see Jake defying expectations and actually getting serious about a relationship. So, all in all, a solid 7/10, but I did appreciate that the author put some solid work in to make it clear that he's got a new big problem in the works and that we're not just going to follow Jake around upgrading his skills and doing random stuff for the rest of the series (though, obviously that's not a bad thing, just need some big threats so the upgrades can really get to shine).

Another filler, that’s two in a row, but not as bad as the last book.
This books is more side quests and set up for future arcs, both the system event arc and the next big overarching plot to take the place of the orange dude story guy plot (those guys lost shockingly).
Despite how much I loathe fillers, I think Zogarth’s are the most tolerable because of the great way he writes characters and realistic dialogue. In that way, we can find some humor and enjoyment in the side quests even if this book doesn’t have its own story arc.
At this point, the author isn’t changing course. He writes how he writes. This is gonna be a 50 plus books series at this rate. Whatever. I’m giving this three stars. Can’t wait for the author to finally get around to the system even so that I can actually enjoy a plot once again.

But, realistically, book 16 of any series is going to drag a bit. The MC is powerful enough he’s no longer scrambling from battle to battle, barely able to heal enough to survive. Jake’s idea of a ‘good fight’ takes *a lot* of preparation and personal development.
I don’t see the narrative suddenly spinning up to higher speed, and that’s okay. The Chosen has a target on deck for his next hunt, and a few different complications in the guise of secret societies to keep the narrative grinding forward.
Now to wait for 17.

A nice continuation of the series
The primal Hunter series is a series about a world that is fundamentally changed when a all powerful system is introduced to our universe and the inhabitants are changed gone is technology in its place is stats and magic
The MC is a clearly Autistic coded character Jake is best buds with a Snake God , and is striving for Godhood
This book primary concerns Jake's progress within himself and the people around him it has tidyed up some storylines and is beginning to introduce new adventures coming in future books

Different pacing but still great
I feel like it will get a lot of hate compared to the others but I actually liked how much time this book took to sort out the relationships and other things going on. Considering the non stop action in the previous books, It was a nice change of pace and Artemis is a great character. The lesson was very memorable and I hope we get more moments like this.

Jake Worthy
I really liked this one even if it's bit more of a pause while we start a new arc.
The run on way towards B grade does help us get a few things ready from skills to setting us up for a new threat and of course the personal touch of relationships across our main characters.
Curious exactly what things may mean going forward but this series never fails to keep me entertained.

Anyhoo...
Yet another excellent addition to the Primal Hunter series. I've always been a massive fan of his irreverent prologues, and this one really takes the cake! A solid character arc involving levels and personal growth and, of course, The Best Bird ©
So glad to have seriously meaty chonks of books that I can enjoy for two whole days, with characters and experiences that never grow stale or scale too hard, too fast. Keep it up!

Another filler book
I normally love Primal Hunter, but two books that are basically filler in a row is just wrong. There was literally about 5% of this book that actually mattered and the majority of it took place towards the end!
I’m happy about the Artemis thing, and the new plot angle, but the rest of this book felt like a complete waste of time. Even substantially bloated for words count imo.
TLDR; the important parts of this book could’ve been an email.

This series has been a joy to read from book 2 to now. I skipped a lot of battle scenes as I was a little tired of reading bro shot arrow good. Bro.shot better now. But... The story outside of it truly grand. One villain leads to another exciting villain. I am very much in need of watching how the true dragon fight unfolds as we likely will see him turn B grade next book... I wait humbly until November.

This was a great addition and one of my favorites so far. I find ridiculous that some people say this one and the past installments were fillers. Both books have been absolutely brilliant. Great character development and world building, epic battles and unforgettable characters were introduced. I simply couldn’t put this one down until I reached the final page. This was an outstanding addition to the Primal Hunter’s epopee. I can’t wait to read the next installment.

Making progress
This was another fun entry in the series. Jake gets some more archery training and hunting in, alongside some other fun, before he heads back to the Order. Even though this was kind of a transitional book, moving from one major arc of the story to another, it was still a lot of fun. Some new antagonists (maybe plural...maybe singular) are revealed near the end, so I'm looking forward for how that develops!

Another great installment
I think we've finally hit a groove with the series where time passes and we check in with all our favorite characters without overshadowing Jake's story. There were some breakthroughs and some setup for future villains, but that makes it sound like the book was boring and it wasn't. I'm looking forward to it.

I enjoyed this book thoroughly. Loved reading about the journey in the pantheon of life and all the shenanigans that Jake gets up to with his friends.
Whenever I get to read the latest book in the series, I just devour it so quickly and get sad having to wait for the next one. Already excited for the next release!

That moment where you know that two people are meant for each other.
Great continuation of the series. This is my kind of slice-of-life as we ride out the tail end of C-grade and see the setup of at least two major story arcs for B-grade. Looking forward to the dragon hunt in the next book and, I'm guessing, the advancement to B-grade.

Interesting turn of events!
Concerned that the story will fade by not providing any interesting events i am pleased to say that there was several. The typical recipe definitely adjusted to keep the storyline interesting albeit not quite as quickly as it maybe should have been. Very enjoyable and happy to see some new life going into this awesome series! Well done!

Continues to grab my interest.
I still enjoy this series.
The changes, twists, and expected advancement, are worthy of being read.
I do want to see Jasper meet his other family.
Further, maybe it is time someone/something rattled the hive/nest of the Endless Empire, so we can see them get to whooping up on the disturber.

simply amazing again
Every time I am reading a book or half way through a series and I get a notification that there is a new Primal Hunter. So like anyone would I stop reading that book and go straight into the new Primal Hunter of course!! Keep up the good work and please don’t stop writing until you finish this series. I am too invested hearing how Jake becomes a god.

4/5 - It was a return to more stuff happening compared to the previous book. A lot of things are happening and the set up for something major plot points is clear. Honestly, parts of the book felt like direct copy-paste, especially for some interactions between characters. It was fine, but I started to lose interest.

We took a bit of a break to do some slice of life with Artemis, tho we did learn a lesson lol. Honestly the change of pace is great it lets the story breathe a bit before we get thrown into it again. I really enjoy this story and will keep reading each book.

Would like to see the plot moving ahead a little faster, as I don't know if this series will attract new readers once it hits 30+ books. (Pretty sure the patreon is halfway or finished book 17 and the story is pretty slow.)

sadly disappointing
while I am a great fan of the franchise, this was a very disappointing book.
took 600 pages to get to anything resembling a proper plot line.
I really hope it is a preparation book for better stories in the next ones.

This series was a very interesting fast paced action packed read that I really enjoyed reading. This one ends as our guy about to reach B grade and hunt a true Dragon.

Still going strong. Usually by this point, 16 books in, the story gets old. Jake is still super powerful, but there's always someone more powerful. A new villain seems to be on the horizon.

Great series
I have loved reading this series from the beginning, I am still a big fan of Jake and his many adventures. Jake's many friends, and his time he spends getting stronger is a fun time getting to know them in the pages of this series.

Too much meta
Nothing really happens this go around. There was way too much meta commentary. It took until the last 1/4 of the book to get anything other than Jake thinking out his path for entire chapters.
