Susan Mallery pulled me into this sweet romance about Heather Fitzpatrick, who is about to become a single mother and has given up on finding love. When Heather unexpectedly goes into labor in a trapped elevator, a handsome stranger named Jim Dyer steps in to help deliver her baby. As Heather adjusts to new motherhood, Jim becomes an unexpected source of support and friendship.
Both Heather and Jim carry emotional scars from past relationships, leaving them convinced they don't deserve happiness. But as they spend more time together, they slowly begin to realize they may be worthy of a second chance at love.
Tanya Eby's narration shines during the heartfelt moments between Heather and Jim. Her engaging performance brought their emotions to life and made it easy to become invested in their journey.
