The next book of the series! The Hunter’s Book 20:
Well, it finally happened! I became a daddy. And what does that mean? Well, first of all, now there’s no way I can get away from Katya, but that doesn’t matter, since I don’t really want to anyway. Heh-heh! What does matter is that now I have even more responsibility and all that good stuff... And I need even more gold!
I have a plan, and I’m following it. One big war is already in full swing and a couple more are on the way, so nobody can stop me from going full Murderhobo—kill, loot, repeat!
Anyway! War is what I was made for, so buckle up, enemies! Galaxius is on the warpath!
I received a review copy of this book. The Hunter's Code book 19 has all the machinations that make all the previous books so enjoyable, including the crazy badger, the main character, enemies galore, impossible situations, even more impossible rescues, and of course, the ever present unexpected ways the main character fits into all of it. It will be a sad day indeed when this series comes to a close, but there's good news on that front, since there are at least three more books in the series, and that's only a good thing for getting your fix of insanity that goes with this storyline. It's just so much fun. Anyone following this series doesn't need to be told that there's always new and interesting ways for the main character to get into (and out of) trouble in these books, so if you're a fan, sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride, this is a great addition to the series.
The first third of the book is filler material of variating quality that mostly doesn't effect the plot. My main criticism about this book is that the MC doesn't get his priorities in order most of the time and his side kicks don't get many chances to shine. Alexander also proves several times how premature his bragging in the last book was.
I loved Larik's plot but found the "Tittyheaven" and christmas plots juvenile. I found Anton's plot rather excessive and would have preferred to read more about the events in Koenigsberg.
Honestly, the author should change the book genre from portal litrpg to something else. War or drama. Man! Their is no portal their is no adventure. The empire fighting with china. And this country fight with that. No development to the character. He get stuck in a situation. Sure! The author bring a totally new character out of the blue to assist. Come on . I didn’t even finish the book. The last 50 pages I skipped and look like this series is over for me.
There wasn't a real story. It was short. There was no actual story, just the start of one. It was good, however, more like just the begining of the book, used to make the release date.
