Operation Caged Storm

Rate this book
She was never supposed to return to the island.
Now the giant has awakened...

In a world where a race of 10-foot-tall giants with weather abilities once roamed North America, high school senior Shelby O'Ryan moves back home to Aurora Island, USA to help open her uncle's restaurant, The Bonfire, and try to fit into society's little box. Then, she comes face-to-face with a much different kind of giant living in the forest. One that is 12 stories tall, weather-power-less, and, despite the rumors and military Humvees around him, kind of a doofus.

Why does he seem so familiar to her?

Within minutes, she is thrown smack-dab in the middle of a decades-long government conspiracy. Now, she is the key to the giant's recapture, a plan called Operation Caged Storm. What do they intend to do with him?

As bigger schemes, ugly truths, and twists unravel over the course of a single afternoon, do she and the giant have the courage to stand tall for the life they want together and stop them? Or will they accept who they've been labeled as and allow the cages to fall over them, the island, and North America as the government seeks to control forces never meant to be controlled?

A true lifelong passion project, Amanda Rose's debut sci-fi fantasy thriller novel tells an Iron Giant-like story set within a Stranger Things-like world left behind by two races of giants embodying Earth and Storm.

The first story within a larger universe that can be read in any order. No AI. All human.
