Wow, this is bittersweet. I can’t believe we’ve reached the end of the House Witch and his family after nine books. This book was emotional and a perfect conclusion to the chapter that had become so much a part of the Ashowan family. I wish for more….100% more Kat and Fin if I could. I loved each of them deeply and this was no exception.

The end of an era
And so ends the story of Tamlin Ashowan. I'm so freaking happy I took a chance on Delemhach and even happier that Tam finally gets the ending he deserves. The 2nd generation of Ashowans are just as fun and calamatous. I cannot wait to hear what the next generation gets into. Just as enjoyable a read as all the other books in the series.

Overall, I really enjoyed the conclusion to this trilogy. The book hinted that there was more books to look forward to in this universe that I will try to wait patiently for. As always, characters are true to themselves and there's some heartbreak. The children were fun.
There were some things missed in editing, mostly in relation to Thomas Julian and Likon names getting mixed up a couple of times for some reason. The digital format of the book had some minor formatting issues in a couple of places.
Minor spoilers: it felt like this book was hinting at future books focusing more on lobah and Penelope that I'm looking forward to. Maybe Charlie as well would get some focus in the future.

This is a set of series, all based in the same world, that I just happened to stumble into somewhat by mistake. I now consider that such a lucky thing. The world is so unique, but it is the characters that make this such a fantastic series. The important thing is that while I think you can still enjoy the series by stepping into the middle of it, or even by reading the different series out of order.....BUT......my biggest recommendation is to start from the beginning and read the books (and the different series - in the order that they were written) Why? Because everything builds on itself. The relationships start out with the House Witch and we got to know him and his family, but most of all, we got his back story.
Little by little, the world of characters expands as the relationships grow. There is so much that will be missed if you start with this book - not knowing who everyone is and not knowing the relationships between all of the characters. It also affects the humor because this is a ZANY series, full of adventure and all out craziness. There are so many inside jokes that you do not want to miss....and you will if you don't understand why certain comments and actions are done.
This book continues on with the story revolving around Tam and Eli and the craziness that they have found themselves in the middle of. The problem is that when they finally make it back to King Eric's domain (which is where his sister Queen Katarina Ashowan and parents are ) and things escalate past the point of return when Eric threatens Tam's children.
This was another fantastic book that I enjoyed immensely. I mean, a cat familiar who has declared himself the Emperor - and the funny way that EVERYONE is afraid of him and defers to him. OOOH the power he has! And now there are a couple more familiars that step up and involve themselves in the affairs of their witches.
I don't want to say anymore because this is a series that you have to just jump into. I think if you can make it past the first book and the absolute number of events that are just truly bonkers...you are going to be in for the entire ride.
I did listen to most of this on audio and Matthew Wolf did his usual fantastic job. There are some pretty unusual characters that he performs so unbelievably well, and he has become the wonderful voice of this series.

This started off with the same issue as I have had with the others in this series: Eli rubbing me the wrong way.
She starts off as combative as ever. And it just annoys me! Luckily, this isn’t as big of an issue after the halfway mark and I get to envelop myself in the great found family, and actual family vibes. There is just so much of the ooey gooey feels, and I love it at the same time as I am sobbing.
A really great ending.

An excellent saga
What an amazing journey it has been following the Ashowan family. It was sad to see the series come to a conclusion but what a satisfying conclusion it was. Reading through Tamlin and Eli's growth and adventures from the first to this last book was just so much fun. They really go through it all and come out stronger together. I love everything about this series ❤️ thank you Delemhach for the world, characters, and their you crafted for us.

Poor editing.
I have read all 10 books in this series. I usually ignore poor editing but I couldn’t overlook several errors in this book. Plus this story did not progress as smoothly as the other 9 books which received 4 or 5 star reviews from me. I hope someone revisits this book and fixes the many mistakes.

For each of the ten books I have read by Delembach, I have laughed out loud and I have cried, the latter usually because of some poignant, vulnerable moment between a couple or between an adult/parent and child. The plots are fun, surprising, and provide good excuses for the main characters to grow closer and fall in love (or deepen their love) while solving mysteries and fighting the enemy. This one is a fine example of the magic the author pulls off, focusing on Tam (son of Findlay, the center of the first trilogy, THE HOUSE WITCH, and brother of Kat, the MC of the BURNING WITCH trilogy; this is the third volume of the latest trilogy) and his love interest Eli, a runaway princess from a desert kingdom, whom Tam thought was a boy in volume one. In this series Tam takes custody of a 8-year-old son he did not know he had as well as an orphan Penelope, whom soon becomes like a daughter to the couple. I don't want to describe too much, but I love these books. What is strange, though, is that I have found few people who share my love for these books. Whatever. I will continue to love them.

This was an excellent book! This book made me laugh and cry, and have a full blown panic attack the last 10 or so chapters because I truly didn’t know how it was all going to work out. I should have had faith in my Ashowens that it would!
I really loved how Tam and Eli both came into their own, both as individuals and as a couple. I also love their ever growing family! I wish I would have had more scenes with Finn, but that’s just because I love him.
While I think the story of the Ashowen family is done based on how this book ended, I don’t know if we are entirely done with the world of the House Witch. Based on that second epilogue, I feel we may have a Kraken novella? With guest appearances by our favorite family? I don’t know! However, if this is truly the end, then it ended great for everyone and I am so relieved!

I really enjoyed this book, I been waiting for it for so long. I could not put it down, I was up until 5:30am. I cried so much reading this, so many heart breaking moments.
Part of me was hoping Eli and Tam would end up as rulers of Zinfera that way each of the lands would have strong ties to each other.
I still feel like there is so much more to the story that hasnt been told. How did Pina take over, who will rule after. She cant be away from Kat forever. How will the world adjust to less witches and beast leaving over time. The Gods stepping back from human world. How will they strike a balance with nature and magic?
Also Lobahl, so many secrets. So much to explore.

like a vacation from reality
I’m so glad Delemhach has found editors!
The whole series has consisted of great storytelling, but the earlier novels were a bit difficult sometimes, tripping over syntax and grammatical errors. The writing has grown richer over time, and competent editing has created a smoother read.
While they can’t be described as literary fiction, so what. The characters are delightful and the plot twists are endless. These have been rough years in the United States, and these books have allowed me to vacation on the much friendlier continent of Daxaria.

A forever favorite
Such a great continuation of the House Witch story. It runs the gambit of laugh out loud hilarious to heartbreakingly sad. A great mix of quirky characters (human and animal) from previous books along with new characters to love or hate. It was wonderful to go on Tam's journey as he grew in his understanding and use of his power and as he opened himself up to love and create a beautiful family. As in previous books in this series, nothing is gained without cost and sacrifice may be the only option to protect those you love. A series I could read over and over again.

What a way to finish this series! It did feel slightly rushed after the climax, but most lives do feel rushed after the stress of an event has passed.
Have tissues ready for this one! I'm not someone who normally cries when I read a book, teary eyed sure, but never really tears rolling down and wanting to sob. Chapters 49 and 50 changed that for me!! Like, I knew it was coming, but oh my god not that way!! All I could think about was Amos Diggery going "That's my son! That's my boy!!" and lost it.
All in all, a fantastic book.

A fun and fascinating witch story
In this series is about a young man that grows up with a very difficult power. He ends up making enemies and allies, and has both real family and found family over time. There is a great deal of humor and a lot of difficulty. I love these stories for their heart, their humor, and also the feelings evoked. I really enjoy reading books by this author.

Amazing series!
I absolutely love these books! Unlike the cozys I usually read in a few hours I leisurely take a couple of days to read each of these books. There's so much nuance, humor and unexpected twists that make these one of the best series ever! The writing is amazing as is the whole story and plot! As a cat lover Pina and the Empurror are my favorites! I hated to come to the end but hope there's more to come!

I love love love all o fly the house witch books. And I also love this one.
But as someone who’s recently had a miscarriage and been struggling with fertility I really had hoped there wouldn’t be a pregnancy in this book (hence the missing star) and I don’t really understand why every single character needs to have children to have their happy end - Penelope and Luka as their children without additional pregnancy would’ve been perfect to me ❤️

I don't know if the errors were because the KU version was release early or what but there was a lot.
Aside from that the story was great. I was so worried it was ending with the death of either son or dad but of course Fin would never let that happen!
I like that there's a possibility of something happening with Zinfera in the future too!

All the House Witch books are delightful
The first book I believe I got for free. Having finished that I became hooked. I loved all the Ashowan family members as well as the others. I hope the author continues on with this series. If so, I will gobble them up. This is a series I have been recommending & would even consider reading again.

Satisfying
Made me cry. Not sure if its the last book in this epic series but sure tied up alot of loose ends. Truly have loved this series, what an intense but comforting ride, which feels like it shouldn't be possible. Delemhach if you read this, bravo. You have a forever reader in me :)

Perfection
I am both glad and sad at this last book in these series. Glad because the ending was just as good as the previous 8 books, and sad because they are all done and read. I can't wait for more stories from this world. It is a wonderful place to visit, I wouldn't be averse to going there again.

Great ending and a new beginning
I love this world of the House Witch and his family. I was so worried that it would all be over until I saw the new book coming out later this year. Thank you Delemhach for inventing this wonderful world we get to visit❤

I love this series
The stories are filled with adventure, the characters are fun and filled with depth. Not the genre I usually but a good comfort series to clear the palate. Highly suggest this series.

Tam &Eli’s changing life
I totally enjoyed the ups and downs, many circumstances that Tam & Eli experience. Love conquers all ! Annika being part of the story brings humor and excitement.

Read it!
This book is as good as it gets. You’ll be laughing out loud and crying. My only complaint is that the ending seemed to drag out. Other than that, I’d say enjoy the end of the ride with Tam and Eli, the Ashowan family, and all their friends. What a journey it was! Enjoy!

hard to put down
All three books were very easy to read. And I felt at home with how the book was written. I was hoping there would be a fourth book by the time I ended the third book, but otherwise I look forward to the next book that she writes.

I loved this book just like I have loved everyone in the series! This one was a bit of whirlwind at times as they were wrapping up a lot and closing arcs that go back to book 1. I imagine this is the finale to this series which does make me sad but I guess we will see.

This was the third installment in the third series surrounding the House Witch. This has to do with his son and family primarily. Very excellently written and this author is an automatic purchase from me. I bought all her books!
