Entertaining mystery listening 🎶🔰

Another will written Japanese murder mystery adventure thriller short story by Ben Stevens (An Ennin Mystery book #33). Ennin and his servant are investigating the case of the death of seven money 💰 lenders in the last twelve months. The case is not going well so they are invited to a sumo wrestling match. The challenger dies. They visit the 🏆 winner's girlfriend where Ennin notices a clue that leads to the arrest of the sumo, girlfriend, and the girlfriend's helper. The sumo and helper are found guilty of murder. I would recommend this novella series and author to 👍 readers of mystery novels 👍🔰. Enjoy the adventure of reading or listening to books 📚. 2023 😮😀

Set in Osaka, Japan.

Kato is 6’ and 350 pounds. His strength and fighting prowess are renowned throughout Japan.

Though the sport is generally a pinnacle of decorum, Kato is crass and ill-mannered.

Kukai and Ennin are in town to investigate the deaths of several moneylenders (loan sharks), all killed within the last twelve months.

Another death in the sumo ring.

Shige, the famed female artist, intrigues. Also famous across the nation for her brilliant creations.

The fingernail clue.

Intriguing story with cool style. Love the author’s world-building and cultural touches.

Great villain, and great solve. Clever.

The Sumo Wrestler by Ben Stevens The Sumo Wrestler by Ben Stevens is intriguing. I gave this short book four stars.

Sumo wrestlers have always fascinated me. Kato was a wrestler who rose the sumo ladder fast in spite of arrogantly disregarding tradition.

I received a complimentary kindle copy in an Amazon promotion. That did not change my opinion for this review.
