I really enjoyed the first book, but this one took it to another level.
The writing style continues to be easy to follow and engaging, but what stood out most to me in this installment was how much deeper everything felt. There’s a stronger focus on character backstories and more of a “behind-the-scenes” feel that adds so much depth to the overall story.
I found myself getting even more emotionally invested this time around—especially when it comes to the heartbots. The way people react to them is honestly fascinating and feels very reflective of how people respond to things they don’t fully understand in real life, which added an extra layer of meaning for me.
The world-building keeps expanding in a really compelling way, and at this point, I’m fully hooked. I’m definitely invested in where this series is going next.

This is the perfect mix of techno thriller and sci-fi. I usually read more near future techno-thrillers, but this book might have convinced me to expand my horizons.
If you enjoyed the first book in the series, you will enjoy this one just as much. It expands the world and the narrative. The story is still told using backflashes, which add a lot of the story. The heartbots feel otherworldly and how the characters react to something they cannot quite grasp is very well done.

For those who enjoyed the first book — this one will blow your mind. In this second book of the trilogy, the story expands — becoming deeper and larger in scale. A soft sci-fi adventure and techno-thriller about love, destiny, and the growing bond between people and the heartbots.
