Loved all the unique worldbuilding going on and how unique each of the cultures (and their individual characters were). Looking forward to the next book when we can see these characters begin to collide.

Worlds Collide is a story about five planets set on a course for collision, and each world is trying to destroy the others so they can survive.
I originally bought it from the author at an event, not having heard of it before—but the concept intrigued me immediately. I've heard great things about Clint Hall's other books, and I wasn't disappointed in this one.
My top three favorite things about it:
1. The worldbuilding. SERIOUSLY. It's hard enough to build out one realistic culture, but this book features five distinct cultures with different beliefs, deities, and settings. I loved exploring them. My favorite was Gunmir, the Planet of the Wolf. The frozen planet with all the arctic creatures was awesome.
2. The POVs. Similarly to the worldbuilding, each of the POVs was incredibly immersive. Each character's worldview was so developed and distinct. Even if their names hadn't been used, I could have recognized them from the way they thought. My favorites were Song and TOM—Song's devotion and slow change over the course of the story was so inspiring, and TOM was fun because I'd never read the POV of an android before.
3. The romance (and relationships in general). Romance wasn't a main plot by any means, and I think that's why I enjoyed it so much. Although it was often in the background, it was very realistic and grounded. I was rooting for some of the couples HARD by the end.
My only real complaint is that I now have to sit with multiple cliffhangers until book 2 comes out. (Oh, and a character arc that went downhill when I really didn't want it to... I won't say more for sake of spoilers.)
This is a great read if you like clean sci-fi (the only major content warnings are non-gratuitous violence and a few kisses) with deep worldbuilding, intriguing characters, and a continuous message of hope.

4.5⭐️ for me!
With 5 planets and 5 main characters, this first-in-a-trilogy book has a lot going on and a lot to remember, BUT it’s so worth the read! Once you really get to know the characters and their worlds, you’ll discover that even the side characters’ stories are important.
This book made me cry. I totally did NOT expect that. It also made me laugh. Although TOM is probably my favorite character, I do find I’m now invested in all the main characters’ stories. And with several loose threads left hanging, I’m ready for book 2!
I would recommend Worlds Collide to scifi-fantasy fans who enjoy stories with multiple POVs and lots of world building. Best for older teens and adults due to the violent nature of some war scenes.

I'm giving "Worlds Collide" by Clint Hall 5 out of 5 stars. This is an action-packed science fiction adventure that delivers enthralling world-building and a cast of heroes worth rooting for against truly menacing opposition.
Hall constructs a sprawling universe where five evil creators serve as the backdrop for an epic conflict spanning multiple cultures and worlds. The setup is ambitious and layered, introducing readers to an eclectic group of characters from five distinct cultures, each bringing their own perspectives and strengths to the story. Don't expect to breeze through this before bed. This is adrenaline-fueled science fiction that grabs you by the collar and doesn't let go, like all of Hall's books.
The world building is where Hall truly shines. The galaxy he's created feels lived-in and complex, with enough detail to satisfy readers who love immersive scifi settings. What makes this work especially well is how the darkness of the five evil creators allows the heroes and heroines to stand out in stark relief. Their courage and humanity shine brighter against such a malevolent backdrop. The characters themselves are wonderfully diverse, drawing from different cultures in ways that make the ensemble feel genuinely eclectic rather than token. And then there's TOM, the android character who brings heart to the story. I'll admit he's not quite on the level of Data from Star Trek, but he's quite remarkable in his own right and carves out his own distinct path.
The relentless pacing means this book doesn't pause for breath. If you're looking for quiet character moments or contemplative passages, you'll find some, but they're brief pit stops between action sequences. Hall keeps the stakes high and the momentum charging forward.
My one piece of advice is to flip to the back and find the glossary before you start reading. With five evil creators and five cultures to track, there's a lot of information to juggle. I discovered the glossary too late and found myself occasionally backtracking to remember who was who and what was what. It's a minor inconvenience in an otherwise stellar reading experience, and honestly, the complexity is part of what makes the universe feel so rich.
"Worlds Collide" comes highly recommended for scifi fans who love expansive world building, ensemble casts, and nonstop action. This is grand-scale science fiction done right.
Bottom line: A 5-star scifi adventure with enthralling world building and relentless action that's perfect for readers who want an immersive, character-rich journey across multiple cultures and worlds.

Clint Hall has done it again with his latest book Worlds Collide, which is the first book in a trilogy. He has become one of my favorite authors of late. This book is rooted in faith, though God is not necessarily mentioned by Name in it. This book tells a revved-up adventure of five heroes who believe they are defending their worlds by destroying the other four. It is a cool take on the manipulation of people by so-called gods, aka man, but then the realization that there is only One true God, Yahweh.
When looking at the five heroes that are the main characters of the book, the reader sees that they are all very different. They come from different backgrounds, with different languages, much like our own world. They are all taught and told what to believe and how to believe it. They follow the teachings of their so-called creators whom they also worship. They follow these creators with dogged devotion. This reminds me of our own world where we are all searching for something or someone to worship and many times, we turn to the wrong things to devote our worship and reverence. We do this as the characters in this book did, without really knowing it. We also do this because God, Yahweh, has placed in our hearts a yearning for Him, though we do not recognize it as that until we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior. Until we come to know Him and He us, we will follow other idols searching but never finding what we are looking for. The heroes fight for the glory of their creators and the survival of their worlds, at least that is what they believe.
Something begins to happen with our heroes one by one; they start to feel that something is different. Everything that they thought they knew and believed, they started to question for the first time. At first, it appears that if they turn against their creators, they will be committing acts of blasphemy, but then they can no longer ignore what they are seeing.
This is a book of vast proportions, like many science fiction books it spans a larger universe full of planets and worlds that captivate the reader. I enjoyed this book so much and I am certainly looking forward to the next books in the series. It will be interesting to see where it all ends, since this book provides hope for a better future for the characters and their worlds, but how do they shed everything they once knew to get there and will they?

Wow… This book exceeded all of my expectations for it, and considering I have read and loved all of Clint Hall’s previous books, the bar was set quite high.
Worlds Collide is the first book in the Worlds Collide trilogy. You can expect exceptional world building, contrasting civilizations with advanced technology and those with an archaic existence, fast paced action battle scenes, and a seamless mix of mythology and science fiction. On the surfaceWorlds Collide is about the race against time to save five homeworlds from destruction.
This story is so much more than that.
The five worlds battling against each other are created by five mythic gods, a dragon, a phoenix, a serpent, a lion, and a wolf. Each planet and their civilization were created to worship and serve their creator, and ultimately to destroy the other enemy planets and ensure their planet's survival. The story follows a point of view of a character from each planet.
Hall has managed to create five unique societies that are at odds with each other. Each civilization enslaved to the creator of their world, and the destiny that each creator ordained. The characters are tested with different trials and are encouraged to focus on destroying the other planets without questioning their creator. As with all people though, deeper questions about their existence arise.
Themes of good vs evil, morality, purpose, and creation are juxtaposed with the beauty of life, love, friendship, faith and and most of all hope. Worlds Collide ends on a cliff hanger, but with so much to think about in book one, you will want to go back to read it again before the next book arrives. This series would be great for those who liked Dune by Frank Herbert, Star Wars by George Lucas and Star Trek by Gene Roddenberry. I highly recommend this book, and I can’t wait for book two in the trilogy.

Outstanding beginning to what promises to be an epic space fantasy story that will rival some of the great space allegories. With heroes and villains, good versus evil, lovers of fantasy literature will appreciate the cinematic descriptions of the setting and the battles. While I have read and enjoyed fantasy literature, my repertoire of science fiction is much shorter. Yet my imagination was immediately captivated by the characters and the setting. The author has created a universe in which five different worlds are on a course of destruction, set by their creators 10,000 years ago. With an incredibly diverse cast of characters from varied cultures, one wonders who will survive the countdown to the final battle.
Mr. Hall has penned sharply-etched and relatable characters with strong fears and beliefs that guide their actions. Each main character questions core beliefs of their society as they face different trials. The author peels back the layers of the inner turmoil the characters confront as they choose to seek justice and light amidst the darkness of war. He grapples with strong themes of purpose, truth and sacrifice.
A trait of a great author is that they have a theme that speaks to the reader, one that is compelling and applicable to real life. In my humble opinion, I believe Mr. Hall has raised the bar of excellence for science fiction. I found the book riveting, with a strong theme of sacrifice amidst despair and darkness. Without giving away the plot, here are a couple of quotes that spoke to me:
"Your creator calls to you."
"If there is hope in a hopeless race, there can be peace in a galaxy at war."
The ending has wonderful hints of foreshadowing, hints of hope that has me eagerly anticipating the next book in the series.

This book is science fantasy at its finest, blending starfighters and sorcery into a unified, high-stakes universe.
Five distinct alien races hurdle toward a shared collision, each anchored by a lone hero:
Dragon World (Song): Captures a fantastic samurai-meets-Klingons energy.
Wolf World (Valik): A rich blend of Viking and Dwarven culture.
Snake World (Fallon): Starts under the radar, but steadily earns your full investment.
Phoenix World (Koji): Delivers a power-up sequence that outshines almost everything else in the book.
Lion World (T.O.M.): A civilization of androids grappling with purpose and loyalty. As a fan of Data (Star Trek), HK-47 (KOTOR), and Vision (MCU), T.O.M. easily earns a spot alongside the greats. He was my favorite of the five.
Hall trusts the reader to root for each race, even when positioned as the antagonist in another hero's story. The combat scenes double as character moments delivered at speed. Whether it's tense starfighter dogfights or close-quarters melee, every hit carries weight.
The dialogue is wholesome and the violence stays grounded and never gory. There's a mild touch of romance, but no more than a kiss. It’s perfect for readers ages 14+ while remaining thoroughly engaging for adults who prefer hopeful narratives over grimdark aesthetics.
Because this is an ambitious trilogy opener, the book functions somewhat like five interconnected novellas building a massive universe. While a few POV filter words remain and the heroes spend this book separated, the final twist lands with absolute satisfaction and sets up a massive sequel.

Hall trusts the reader to root for each race, even when positioned as the antagonist in another hero's story. The combat scenes double as character moments delivered at speed. Whether it's tense starfighter dogfights or close-quarters melee, every hit carries weight.
The dialogue is wholesome and the violence stays grounded and never gory. There's a mild touch of romance, but no more than a kiss. It’s perfect for readers ages 14+ while remaining thoroughly engaging for adults who prefer hopeful narratives over grimdark aesthetics.
Because this is an ambitious trilogy opener, the book functions somewhat like five interconnected novellas building a massive universe. While a few POV filter words remain and the heroes spend this book separated, the final twist lands with absolute satisfaction and sets up a massive sequel.

The point of impact will soon be at hand....
Sci-fi is still a genre that I haven't read a lot of over the years. But it's fun to run into a new one every so once in awhile that sounds interesting. Worlds Collide is surprisingly different from pretty much any other sci-fi novel that I've read. Instead of the usual evil empire taking over the solar system or the adventures of a starship and its crew, the first book in the Worlds Collide Trilogy focuses on five different characters from five different planets. Planets, that, thanks to an ancient prophecy, are fighting each other tooth and nail to become the only one left standing.
I found Clint Hall's worldbuilding to be very imaginative in this book. Each of the planets is very different as are the races that inhabit them. From, I think, Nordic-inspired culture to essentially robots with artificial intelligence. From a culture that worships their dragon creator with singular devotion to one that despises their snake god. From slaves to royalty. But they all share a common goal, to destroy the other four planets before the prophesied moment of collision.
It is so easy for humanity to fall into a kill-or-be-killed mentality and the portrayal of that in Worlds Collide was almost a little too truthful for comfort. But, on the other hand, readers also get to see how the single decision of one person can change an entire world.
If sci-fi is your thing, this first book in the Worlds Collide Trilogy was an entertaining read for the most part. Clint Hall has a good start to a unique series that I think will prove to be even more interesting in the next novel....

This novel is action packed. It starts out that way and does not let up. It took me a while to figure out what was going on as there is no explanation of the five cosmic beings creating the worlds and initiating the war until about a tenth of the way into the book. Be sure to read the book synopsis before you start the novel. I would have preferred a one paragraph prologue or introduction to set the stage for readers.
I read an ebook and only found out when nearly finished that at the end there is a Character Index listing each planet, the creator, the philosophy, and key characters. A glossary is also included. Bookmarking that will certainly help keep the action straight. I think reading this book in print form would be the best experience because of the information given in places more difficult to access in digital form.

"Worlds Collide" by Clint Hall is a fast paced space Sci Fi adventure featuring 5 worlds on a collision course. Only one world will survive and each of the 5 worlds are trying to take out the others to be the ultimate victor to survive. There are 5 worlds and 5 main characters and side characters to keep track of, but I was able to do it about a 1/3 of the way through the book. It's one I'll want to re-read before the next two books come out since this is a trilogy.

Wow. I am just… wow. The complexity of the characters and world building, the stakes, the development of plots and themes and the overall story, this is amazing. Although the ending is a bit of a cliffhanger, I’m not even focused on that. I definitely want the next story, but more than that, I want to return to this story, to glean what I missed and re-immerse myself in the worlds Hall has created.
First, I am in awe of the way Hall seamlessly wove five different POVs together into one story when none of them cross paths and have such different roles in their locations. And then the technological and ideological creativity on display for all the worlds? So well done.
As for the characters themselves, their journeys are all so different, and gripping, and yet they still spring from the overall theme. I’m hard pressed to pick a favorite one of them, but the growth arcs for TOM and Song were the two that touched and challenged me the most.
I have so many more thoughts, but they’d be too spoilery, so I’ll leave it at you should read this book. Oh, and I’ll also say this - for blindly pledging allegiance to a planet…I can’t say things turned out too badly. 😏

It’s not often that I want to go back and immediately reread a book right after I’ve finished it, but that’s exactly what happened with Worlds Collide. What an intricate, compelling, and just downright fantastic start to this sci-fi series. I loved it so much!

I was afraid that with all the characters and information that I might feel overwhelmed and not be able to keep things straight, but that wasn’t the case at all. It was fascinating learning about everything. And I really enjoyed reading about each of the characters and their world. But I think my favorite was TOM. Adult Science Fiction is a genre that I have just begun to be interested in. Worlds Collide by Clint Hall is Book 1 in the Worlds Collide Trilogy.
I will say that it took me a couple of chapters to really understand the storyline. I was intrigued at the Author's writing style once I understood the story. I especially enjoyed the fact that the "characters" were not the typical characters in a story, yet they were Five Worlds who were battling one another and knowing only one would survive the Battle. The Worlds knew they were going to Collide, yet one of the Cosmic beings would win and survive. The story is very action packed, from beginning to end, and also had many twists and turns.The author includes a faith aspect, yet not boldly or strongly. I am astonished at how much I truly enjoyed this book. I am already looking forward to Book 2 in this series, as Book 1 ended with a cliffhanger ending! I HIGHLY recommend this book to anyone who enjoys Adult Science Fiction. GREAT BOOK!

I gave Worlds Collide an easy 5 stars. Clint Hall took on a massive challenge here—instead of just building one sci-fi universe, he builds five entirely distinct worlds, and somehow keeps the story flying without getting bogged down in endless exposition. The action barely lets up.
With five worlds, the cast is huge, but the primary and secondary characters actually have distinct voices and motives rather than blurring together. It’s hard to pick a favorite, but the character TOM really grabbed my attention—mysterious, layered, and the one I found myself trying to figure out the most. If the future involves lots of TOMs, then I have hope for humanity.
Since this is book one of a series, Hall leaves plenty of open storylines and mysteries on the table for the sequel. It’s rare for me to say this right after finishing a book, but I already know I’m going to re-read it before book two comes out just to pick up on the clues I probably missed.
If you love fast-paced sci-fi with serious scope, definitely pick this up.

I was transported to another world! 🌌
At first, juggling 5 POVs felt like trying to keep track of all the planets in Star Wars (confusing at first, but worth it). But the deeper I read, the more I enjoyed every world and every character. Fallon and Valik especially stole the spotlight for me. 😁
It reminded me of how I once got lost in the different places of Star Wars, but the more I rewatched, the more I loved memorizing the cultures and creatures. Same vibe here, complex at first, but so rewarding once you’re immersed.
Can’t wait for the next installment! 🚀

This is the second book I’ve read by Clint, and I can really tell that this trilogy will be his passion project.
Worlds Collide is a typical first book in a series— there’s a lot of world building and setting up the characters. However, the story started in an engaging way and the pace was well maintained (nothing was really dragged out and plot action was balanced with good character moments). I struggle with having so many POV characters in a single book (there are five), but Clint managed to give them relatively equal time.
Overall, I enjoyed this book. I’m hoping that some of our main characters will get to overlap and interact in the second book, because that’s really the only thing that disappointed me here. This is a great Upper-YA/New Adult Sci-Fi book.

As the title suggests there will be an explosion of worlds that are different in many ways. What happens when they join in unexpected ways? They each have their own priorities that will face danger and animosity. I liked how the author creates worlds where different visions are brought to the surface.
For me it took a bit to get into the story, but once I did it was an adventure I won’t soon forget. With five different reasons the worlds fight for their agenda. The battle starts at the beginning which defines how intense the journey will be. I’m glad I did read the book at a slower place because the details were deeply rooted. Science fiction lovers will gravitate towards this epic journey and see how each character develops throughout.

This book is nothing short of outstanding. I can't wait for the rest of the series, but this is a great first book. I'm a huge Sci-Fi fan, and Christian Sci-Fi makes me so happy. The world here is so real and so vivid, with the best world-building possible for this story. It makes you feel very present. It has an amazing list of characters, planets, creators, and people. The voicing, the viewpoints of five worlds that are at war, is deep. It's deep, and it's captivating. I love that Yahway is used; it makes everything even deeper for me. I can't wait till the other books come out.

I've read everything Clint Hall has published so far, and this is my favorite of his books yet. I loved TOM the most and was so glad to see the lasting impact he had on the story world and its occupants.
The only thing I didn't always care for as a reader was the sheer amount of information I had to remember as I read this. The cast is large, and with 5 different worlds to remember, it sometimes took me a minute to dig back in after I paused reading.
I love the themes of life being valuable and each person having meaning. We never know how our lives will affect others or what that will look like.
Looking forward to the rest of this action-packed trilogy.

I have read and enjoyed Clint Hall’s other stories, but this one blew me away! Perhaps because it is the start of a trilogy and there is room for the characters and world to grow more than in a stand alone, or perhaps because it was just that good! I love that there is a main character from each of the 5 worlds, giving readers a chance to get to know a bit about each place. I was part of the street team, and picked the Phoenix planet before reading the book. Time will tell if that was a wise choice. lol.
If you enjoy rich, futuristic worlds full of interesting characters, I highly recommend picking this book up!

World's Collide is by far one of the best novels I've read in a while. I was blown away by the way the author was able to tie in the world building from so many different, literal worlds, while hooking me right away, AND without losing me in the details. You can clearly see that this is a story that was very carefully worked on, detail by detail. I promise you, you will be hooked and you will pick a side... but will you choose the right one?

Amazing journey!! For fans of The Will of the Many - not that the story was similar, but the feel of the writing makes me think that those who liked that book will love this one.
Can’t wait for the next installment in this trilogy. In the meantime, I will read more of this author!

Clint is excellent here. You can feel his passion for his story on the pages. A fun and drama filled journey across different worlds.
