I ended up way more hooked than I expected.

Right from the start, it pulls you in with a strong, emotional setup and that feeling that something bigger is going on under the surface. You follow a main character who’s been raised to believe she’s basically nothing, and watching her start to grow into herself was great!.

There’s a darker edge to the story too, with some pretty messed-up dynamics inside one of the packs that adds tension and urgency. What I liked is that the story doesn’t stay small—it keeps expanding as more secrets come to light and the stakes get higher.

The multiple POVs really worked for me. They were easy to follow and added a lot to the story instead of making it confusing. You get to see different sides of what’s happening, which makes everything feel more layered.

The pacing is quick and super readable. It’s not overly focused on deep world-building, but the plot keeps moving and building in a way that kept me turning pages. There’s always something happening—action, shifting alliances, and a steady buildup of tension.

There’s also some romance and a bit of spice, but it doesn’t overpower the story. It fits naturally into everything else going on.

Overall, this was just a really addictive, easy read for me. It leans more into plot and character growth than heavy detail, but it works. I didn’t want to put it down. I know this is book 1 but I feel it was a completed story. Not sure how the next book will continue from the current story but I’m excited to see!

Book 1 in the Elemental Wolves series. This is a paranormal romance with a possessive alpha hero and a secret, hidden princess who is very powerful!

I was hooked after the first few chapters! I also loved how this book was paced. It is a faster paced book, but in this plot setup it works very well!

The Multi-POV really helps you see into the minds of several characters and gives you glimpses into different perspectives. I truly loved all the characters we got POVs on even the not so nice ones! Those are my favorite to get into their minds and see what they are thinking even if it’s really bad.

Serene and Ducan were just so sweet! Duncan was so protective and exactly what Serene needed after what she experienced in the Blood Moon pack. Duncan calling Seren “little wolf” was so precious!

Julian and Kayla were another favorite couple in this book! Julian called Kayla “kitten” which was so cute!

If you like mates and people finding mates then you’ll love this book!

There are twists and turns I didn’t see coming! I can’t wait for book 2!

Overall, 5 stars!! If you like your MMC overprotective and obsessed with their FMC, paranormal romances, fated mates, elemental magic, and a powerful secret princess, then this book is for you!

Initially, found this via a Facebook ppc ad and absolutely rapt it's available on Kindle

Worth buying as an absorbing, dynamic and intriguing read.
Kudos to author, KH Holder for weaving her magical wordsmith skills in such a way as to intrigue, entice and capture my attention.

Enjoyed exploring how each person contributed to the underlying paranormal themes woven throughout the story - discover vanished family and friends, establish and strengthen relationships and partnerships, discover innate gifts and elements, defend lifestyles, families and realms, and prepare for the future.

The MFC shifter, Seren is the link and proves to be a strong, resourceful and resilient survivor of unique negative events and proactive positive events.
Alpha Duncan and his good friend, Prince Gideon, share the MMC role as they learn how to heal and support Seren and their new partnerships: Alpha Duncan as her fated mate and Prince Gideon as her sibling.

Overall, a thoroughly captivating, wild read.

In the not too distant future, seriously hope your Elemental Wolves series is available on Kindle too as want to own a copy of each one.

This book hooked me right away with its emotional start and intriguing mystery. I loved watching the main character grow from someone who felt worthless into her own strength. The dark pack dynamics, secrets, and rising stakes kept me invested, and the multiple POVs added depth without being confusing.

The pacing was fast, with plenty of action, tension, and twists. The romance and spice fit naturally into the story without taking over. Overall, I found this a really addictive read and had a hard time putting it down. Even though it's the first book in a series, it felt complete, and I'm excited to see what comes next.

This was a nice read, really liked the writing and loved the pace of it. It has drama, love and war. A well rounded book in my opinion but if you’re looking for something extremely spicy this is not the book for you. It does have a few spicy scenes here and there but that wasn’t what the book was about and I appreciate it that.
