Whether you are an avid gardener, a hobby gardener, or, like me, you missed out on the family green-thumb gene, The Potting Bench has something for you. The author has taken her love of gardening and photography and has created sixty daily devotions, all pointing to the Master Gardener. The photographs are beautiful. You will love the section called Over the Garden Fence, as it gives solid advice for your gardening efforts. I love this book so much, and you will too. The Potting Bench will make a great gift for the gardeners in your life, no matter their skill level. Highly recommended.

Where Gardening and Faith Come Together
As someone who enjoys gardening, I really appreciated how this devotional connects time in the garden with deeper spiritual growth. Each entry is thoughtful and easy to reflect on, and I found myself taking something away every day. The photography throughout the book is especially well done and adds a lot to the overall experience. You can tell care was put into both the writing and the visuals. It’s a devotional I’d definitely recommend and continue to use regularly.

I look forward to reading a new devotion from this book each morning. The author inspires and encourages us through her use of beautiful photographs, uplifting scripture passages, and personal thought provoking messages for each day to enable us to grow in our faith; all tied together by a useful gardening tip that even an amateur gardener like myself can use.

Beth majored in ornamental horticulture and has had a career in gardening, working at garden centers and i. gardening design. She is also a Christian educator and a preacher's wife, who is now also an author.
She poured her love of God and His beautiful world, her love of photographing that beauty, and her love of words into this wonderful book of 60 devotions, using lessons we can learn from gardening to teach us about the Master Gardener and His love for us. And as bonuses, each devotion has one of her lovely photos, and a gardening tip.
