Jill comes from a large family with six siblings, including an identical twin. She was raised in the Pacific Northwest and later relocated to Colorado for college and a successful IT career before discovering her talent for writing sweet and sexy page-turners. After Colorado, she decided to move south, living in Texas and now making her home along the Emerald Coast of Florida. You will find that the settings of several of her series are inspired by her time spent living in these areas. She has two sons and off-set the testosterone in her house by adopting three furry little ladies that provide her company while she’s locked in her writing cave. She enjoys heading to the beach, hiking, swimming, wine-tasting, and pickleball with her husband, and of course writing. If you have read any of her books, you may also notice that there is a love of food, especially sweets! She has been blamed for a few added pounds by her assistant, editor, and fans… donuts or pie anyone?
This is a book to read near swim pool or nice beach. With or without some girlie drinks, some cold water would be great too! So it started a bit slow and lame for me: small town girl, never been out from Oregon (no virgin though).... Blah blah blah... But then this girl has got some balls, she went to honeymoon with her dead bf's best friend and she was so sexy, brave and adventurous in bedroom! The Hero was a good man: good friend, son, soldier... There were a bit angst and adventure in this book. No cheating, no OP scenes!! Faithful MCs!
I was given this beta in exchange for my honest opinion Wow, you could cut Sean and Becca's sexual tension with a knife. They had great chemistry.
I love all things Pride. And good things come to those that live above O'Neil's grocery store. Maybe Ms. Jill can put in a good word for me with Ms. Patty. I'd like to visit Pride and never leave.

This installment into the Pride, Oregon series is quite different from the others as it doesn't actually take place in Pride. Two friends, both struggling with loss, go on a vacation that goes terribly awry. While it was a very enjoyable story and had a bit more suspense than others in the series, I missed the interaction with the town. As a stand alone book it was quite good, but knowing it is a part of the Pride series I was left wanting for more as the town was as prominent a feature as in past books.
How do you go on when the person you had fallen in love with in high school dies before you get married. It isn't easy but you have to go on with your life especially if you are only in your early 20s. Becca know she has to move on but it was hard to do. Sean who was best friends of Nick and Becca comes home from the army and his family is having a welcome home party for him on the day that Becca and Nick were suppose to be married. Needless to say Becca was a total mess but it was great to see that Sean was just as devastated as she was about the death of Nick. I absolutely loved the way Sean was with Becca, he was soft when needed, strong when needed and very understanding through it all. I have enjoyed many of Jill Sanders books and this is defiantly in the top 5.

Becca Lander and Nick Becker had a cute teenager love story no matter how short lived it was, they loved and planned to have a future together until Nick lost his life when he was in the army...Becca started to heal with the love and care from her family and the good people of Pride.
Sean Farrow Nick's best friend returned back home from the army, Sean always had a crush on Becca but never made a move cause he respected and loved Nick like a brother....the former brought Becca the personal affects of the latter and that gesture just opened up a lot of painful wounds..... Becca discovered that Nick had planned a cruise trip for them for their honeymoon.
Not wanting the trip to go to waste and seeing that the tickets were non refundable, Becca decided to go on the cruise and asked Sean to go with her...At first he hesitated but then agreed to go, they helped and comforted each other over losing Nick and in the process they realized that there's was this undeniable attraction between them.
Sean's guilt over being with his best friend's girl lessened after he spoke to Nick's parents..... Sean and Becca took their relationship to the next level as they continued to grow closer, an incident threatened to tear them apart .... Becca and Sean didn't give up hope and fought for their love.
What a beautiful ride it was to read about Becca and Sean's journey and it was a delight to catch a glimpse of some of the characters and their expanded families.....Once again Jill Sanders left me spellbound with her awesomeness.
I re-read this book by accident then wondered why I found it so familiar, but never regretted a moment of it at all. Then I needed to rethink the rating I'd initially given and thought that I should even write a review for this book which has immensely grown on me since I last read it.
I thought Jill Sanders handled the dynamics between Sean and Becca very well; they were always friends before becoming more - and never less than respectful towards each other - and I loved how they reminisced about Nick as they moved on together. With minimal angst and without unnecessary drama to stir things up, Sanders brings a couple fully deserving of each other together in a way I'd never quite thought possible as their relationship changes from warm to scorching during that trip away, with a touch of the forbidden that made me love the story just that tiny bit more. But this is as much about Becca as it is about their relationship: it is ultimately Sean who opens her eyes to adventures beyond her home, which provides a more layered dimension to the story as Becca herself grows in ways she herself couldn't have expected.
Becca had loved only one man in her life, that was her high school boyfriend Nick. They had planned to marry when he got home from serving in the special forces, start a family and live in Pride, Oregon. A freak accident took that away from her though and while she was devastated, she knew that it was time to move on. Now a year later their best friend Sean was coming home. Inseparable since childhood, they joined and had left together but only one came home. Sean brings with him Nicks belongings that includes a secret for Becca that even he didn't didn't know about. With time running out, they embark on an adventure that puts both of them in situations that feel both wrong and right at the same time as well as one that could end in tragedy.
This was another great addition to the Pride series! You get brief glimpse of last characters so that you get somewhat caught up in their lives. I quickly fell in love with series from the firs book and can't wait to see what Ms. Sanders comes up with next.
This is another story from Pride, Portland by Jill Sanders.
This one is about Becca and Sean. They grew up together as friends because of Nick. When Sean returns after his tour of duty without his best friend, Nick, he tries to be the friend he should be to his mates girlfriend who was left behind.
Becca is trying to get on with her life after Nick dies. It is hard for her but with Sean's help she may get through. When Nick's belongings are given to her she finds tickets for her honeymoon that were booked before Nick's passing.
Sean and Becca decide to do the trip. Will it bring them closer that they were expecting?
This is another great book in this series. A great read and keeps you engrossed.
I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Becca and Nick were suppose to be married when he came home from the army. But Nick does not come back due to and accident that leaves her to try and get on with the rest of her life with her love. Sean Becca and Nicks best friend comes home a year later. Sean gives Becca Nick personal belonging, only for her to discover it tickets for their honey moon. Becca and Sean decide to use the as an adventure together. They are drawn to each other but feel its wrong and right. Its a great story about love, grief and romance.
I was given this copy in exchange for an honest review.
like the other books in the pride series I fell in love with this one. The chemistry between the main characters was undeniable and the characters themselves were amazing. The struggle of losing someone they both deeply cared for and loved is something most can relate to. I could feel the emotion of both of them. I would highly recommend this book and the rest of the series. The author is an amazing writer and I believe that everyone will enjoy it.
I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review.
I can't seem to get enough of Pride, Oregon. I find myself wanting to visit and/or live there and have all of these characters as my neighbors!! Becca and Sean are such a great couple. Their relationship was a happy and exciting adventure. I loved their banter back and forth and also loved the reminiscing they did to remember Nick and their times together. I couldn't put the book down and I know it will be a story I will want to read again.
Amazing book about a girl that started with love that grew into more than she could dream and hope for. Only like some of us she goes through heart wrenching things in her life on the way. I couldn't put the book down wanting to continue reading about the man she loves and all the family and friends that she has in her life to love her and to depend on. Great read! Jill Sanders is so talented!
I love the Pride Series. I preordered this book & forgot all about doing so. I was SO happy to see it in my library last night! I read this book in less than a day and thoroughly enjoyed every page, honestly. I don't know where to start. Sean & Becca (and Nick
After losing her boyfriend in an accident, Becca tries to carry on.. When his best friend Sean returns a while later, to find her upset, he suggests she goes on what would be Becca and Nick's honeymoon... She doesn't want to go alone and asks Sean to go with her.. This is a beautiful addition to three pride series and I thoroughly enjoyed it!!!!

Return to Me is another great one by Jill Sanders. After a great tragedy Becca and Sean find each other. Such a wonderful story. I recommend all of Jill Sanders' books. Once you read one, you'll need to read them all.
Exciting story line definitely not predictable. Romance with some different points of view makes this the best book of the series and I liked them all.
This story has sex but only mild cursing (no f-bombs) so use your own discretion when reading if you have an issue with sex in books. Although this is part of a much larger series, you do not have to read those first to enjoy this one - it totally stands alone.
I honestly didn't know how I was going to feel about Becca and Sean getting together because of Becca's undeniable devotion to Nick (and Sean's too), but I loved the way that Ms. Sanders made it work. Although they had chemistry and obvious friendship-love from the start, their romantic relationship grew organically and wasn't rushed or unbelievable which was great. I also liked the way that the drama in their relationship played out. ***SLIGHT SPOILERS TO THE END OF PARAGRAPH*** I was so afraid that Nick's memory was going to be the cause of the 'inevitable romance novel drama' that would develop between Sean and Becca, but Ms Sanders took it a totally different direction and didn't make them question their feelings or each other and I really, really loved that.
This book also had the bonus of being like a trip to the tropics. A lot of people would call this a beach read, but to me this is the perfect winter read. As the weather turns colder there is nothing like slipping under a fuzzy blanket and reading about likable characters having adventures in much warmer climates.
I would recommend this to fans of the Pride series or to anyone who enjoys an emotional but really entertaining and easy read.
Becca has had quite a dramatic life so far, her father left when she was young, her mum worked hard from home to keep the family together. Her mum then moves away, leaving Becca living on her own, working in her sister's bakery not sure what she is going to do next. Her long term childhood sweetheart and fiancé is killed in action and for the last year she has just been plodding on with life. This is when Sean, Nick's best friend and the one who used to hang out with them both comes back from service in the special forces.
It is hard for Becca to see Sean without Nick and it brings back some difficult feelings for her. They are however united in their grief. What they both realise is that they need eachother, and become very close and good friends. Things change however whe Sean gives all of Nick's personal items.
A lovely story of a new found romance, with a bit of drama thrown in to keep you on your toes. Can be read as another stand alone book, but would recommend the whole series.
Jill Sanders takes us on a journey through the heartache of both a lost love and a lifelong friendship, through a passionate new love, and how love can heal even the most broken of hearts. I felt real empathy for the residents of Pride and even shed a few tears as the town grieved the loss of one of their own.
I was also swept up in the growing passion that slowly built between Becca and Sean. With a history built on the childhood memories between them, it was totally believable that that friendship and shared heartache would grow into a passionate relationship.
I was also pleasantly surprised that I could jump into this series without having read the prior books and not feel as if I'd missed out by starting with book 7. The characters, the town, and the story all rang true all on it's own.
I'm definitely a new fan of this series and can't wait to read the rest of the novels. My only complaint would be a few holes that seemed to be missing toward the end of the novel, as if the ending was wrapped up abruptly. But overall a really good love story.
3.5 Sean and Becca’s story is a sweet one! There is no doubt even from the beginning where this relationship is headed but due to the circumstances there is a realistic hesitancy in going there. The people of Pride seem to know more about what’s happening than the actual couple do... small towns.
Becca is very sheltered. She has had one boyfriend, never left town, works for her sister’s bakery. She likes to help with the baking but she cannot cook herself regular meals. Baking is such a precise art that is seems silly this would be the case. I guess maybe a lot of this is due to losing Nick and her life stalling. Sean was a sweetheart.
There was a bit of drama, growth, and sizzle. Something for everyone. This is a series but can be read as a stand alone. First book by this author, would recommend.
Thanks to NetGalley, the author and Kobo Writing Life for a copy in exchange for a review.
Return to Me is book eight in Jill Sanders' Pride Series. As I haven't read any of the previous books, I can vouch that Return to Me can perfectly work as a stand alone. I do, however, intend to go back and read the rest of the series in the right order.
While browsing for a quick summery read, the synopsis of Return to Me caught my attention and I can say that I was not disappointed. The romance is sweet, even if a bit fairytale-ish in places. Becca also sounds somewhat silly, but then she's just twenty two and never really left her home town, so there's a plausible excuse.
There are one or two holes in the plot, and I found the ending a bit too rushed, but for such a short romance novel I think Return to Me works really well as a beach or poolside companion.
truly loved the book! It's heartfelt, sexy, & funny. This small-town romance is a very enjoyable read! Becca & Nick fell in love at sixteen. They planned a life together. When an unforseen tragedy happened to Nick, it left Becca devastated. A year later, Nick & Becca's BFF, Sean returned home after serving in Special Forces. Becca & Sean have been able to comfort each other, about Nick. Sean is trying figure out what he wants to do with the rest of his life. Becca & Sean decide to getaway. They've always been close, but spending time together, Becca & Sean's chemistry is undeniable. Return To Me steals your heart from the very first pages to the last.
Parts of this book were so sad as both Sean and Becca were grieving after Nick's death, and yet there is the start of a new love.
I really enjoyed the description of their cruise and their time in Nassau, having taken a cruise there, I had fun reliving the trip, and realizing that we only touched the surface with our sightseeing! May have to take another cruise!
So much drama and intense scenes after Sean and Ronny are lost at sea but glad there is a happy ending for that - and a great HEA. I also liked that both Sean and Becca finally figured out what they wanted to do for their careers and started pursuing that dream.
Return to Me is filled with so much heartwarming moments that you can't help but to fall in love with Becca and Sean. Becca and Sean are childhood friends with one common factor that would be Nick. They both are trying to heal after losing him. When his surprise comes to life for Becca, you can't help but hope that it is what Sean and Becca need most. I love the chemistry between Becca and Sean. You see it in the little ways that there is more and as you watch it grow you can't help but smile. This book is so good. I couldn't put it down if I tried.
This was released in 2015 and I had not read any of the Pride series. I recently found Jill Sanders as an author and have enjoyed her works so I am not sure if this is a re-release or if it was put on NetGalley for recognition.
The story was well written but seemed young. Not in age but as a writer. However the story is #7 so I am not sure that that terminology is correct.
Disclaimer: I received a complimentary copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.
Another fabulous Pride story. Becca was so sad and alone and lost, that it was nice to see her find love. At first I didn't like that the characters left town as I've seen the town of Pride playing a big part in this series. I changed my mind by the end of the book though as I think it was important that both these characters got out of town, especially Becca, and experienced a bit of life outside.
1.5 stars rounded up I suppose. first time with this author, and this just did not work for me. (luckily I got it for free.) it had huge potential (Becca, Sean, the idea of the plot) but everything about the writing felt flat and I cringed at some of the prose. I'm sort of surprised there was on-page sex, because everything else about how this was written would have led me to believe it would be off-page. lastly, the ending was a little too melodramatic. I think this author is not for me.
Jill is a new author for me .... what a wonderful surprise ... I loved the Pride Series and read all the books within one week ... Each book took me further into the lives and town of Pride ..... I feel as if I am part of a new family .... To me, books are a way to "escape" for a little while what is going on around you .... This series goes way beyond that ... thank you Jill !!!!
