Why is it that the more money governments spend on education, the less children seem to know? And why, year after year, are standards of literacy and numeracy plummeting? In Mindless, Bella d'Abrera shows that the education systems in Australia, the United Kingdom and the United States are no longer fit for purpose. From kindergarten onwards, children are being indoctrinated by the state with radical ideologies that prioritise victimhood, oppression narratives, identity politics and climate apocalypticism over knowledge and intellectual formation. Essential reading not just for parents, but for anyone concerned about the future of Western Civilisation, Mindless is both a warning and a call to action. It defends the child, the family, and the enduring inheritance of the West.
My grandfather lent me this book and I truly believe every parent and teacher should read it. The author uses evidence, statistics and anecdotes from Australia, the US and the UK to analyse the LGBTQ, racism, climate change, and anti-Western civilisation indoctrination endemic in schools and universities. She shows clearly the origins of the problem, and the impact on student’s learning and mental health, while also providing solutions and hope for the education crisis. It is an extremely eye-opening and engaging read.
I saw this book mentioned on a current affairs show on television and decided to read. As a senior and gone through the education system a long time ago I was completely amazed at what is happening in our schools and what is happening to the nations children. The book explained to me why we hear about the anxiety of young people in our country and was astounded that no one is doing anything about it. This book should be compulsory reading for any parent with school aged children to understand what is happening to them when not at home
