The saga of Nikolai and Lauren continue

Again, without trying to give away much in the way of spoilers:
This story opens with Lauren attempting a complete rebuild of her life after all that has transpired in book #1.  This is short-lived as she soon finds herself in the crosshairs of the Bratva once again for reasons unbeknownst to Lauren. The massive inner dialogue is also littered with repetiveness here in book #2, but grit your teeth and move on. I can appreciate that after several full spice scenes, the author moved on to a mention of that occurrence so the story could keep the flow of the story moving. So many people count on it, yearn for it. Me? A couple of full scenes to boost and follow through with the plot are all that's required. It's fiction, not real, and written the same way in book to book, no matter who the author.
My first time reading her works, and this author turned out to be worth reading again for Bratva/mafia genre.

"Untamed Thirst" delivers a gripping and satisfying conclusion to the duet, picking up the tension from book one and pushing it even further. The story leans heavily into suspense and emotional stakes, with danger constantly circling Lauren and Nikolai as secrets unravel and past betrayals come to light.

The chemistry between the leads remains a standout—sharp, passionate, and layered with the kind of banter that balances the darker elements of the plot.

Fast-paced and full of twists, this installment thrives on drama and intrigue, especially as long-buried truths surface. Fans of the first book will appreciate how the story ties together while still delivering plenty of shocks along the way. It’s an intense, action-packed finale that keeps you hooked until the very end.

This picks up 4 years after the.ending of Book 1 and we see how Lauren is coping with her daughter Hannah after the death of Nikolai. When an attack brings help from an unexpected source, Lauren's world is turned upside down when the past she hoped she had escaped from comes back with a vengeance. On the run with Nikolai and trying to stay one step ahead of their.enemies, Lauren struggles to deal with her feelings with one part of her angry and the other unable to stop loving Nikolai. With betrayal hard on their heels, Nikolai knows that he will do whatever it takes to keep Hannah and Lauren safe, no matter the cost. This was a fitting end to this series. Jam-packed with action, drama, spice, twists and turns, you are sent on an emotional rollercoaster from the beginning. A page turner that you won't be able to put down.

Nikolai is alive, but can Lauren forgive him? After four years on her own raising her daughter Hannah, Lauren sees a black SUV and thinks she is being watched and when she gets home from having dinner with Timur and Sophia she gets attacked. However, she is saved by someone, and its Nikolai. But how can that be? He's supposed to be dead. All these years he's been in hiding but now they have to go off the grid to stay safe. Nikolai hired a nanny to help out but when they find out she's a plant, Hannah goes missing. Now its a rescue mission. But can they save her before Aslanov kills her. What Lauren learns and what happens next is shocking. You must read this book. It's a great end to Nikolai and Lauren's story. This book was given to me as an ARC and I am leaving my voluntary review.

The mystery and excitement picks up right where it left off from Book 1. How do you get over lies and deception, and move on with it especially when you work so hard to rebuild your life and you have someone else that needs you so much.

Enemies become friends/allies and allies/friends become enemies yet will there be a reckoning that solves all our problems, who can be trusted. Niko and Lauren are pretty much on their own until the next shoe drops and boy does it drop. Everyone gets blindsided at different times, and you never see it coming.

The questions are all answered at the end when the HEA occurs but getting there was a lot of tears and fears.

Wonderful duet.

Untamed Thirst was an amazing ending to a great duet. My heart was in my throat after reading Untamed Hunger. What will happen in Lauren’s life after that ending. 4 years later, she finds herself in a pickle. Someone is after her again. Luckily, someone on her side is keeping a close eye on her without her knowing and comes in to save the day. There’s only one reason someone is after her now. She soon comes face to face with her past. How will she handle this news?
Absolutely loved this duet. I love all these mafia reads this talented author keeps producing.

It's just ok

I haven't finished this book yet but the writing itself doesn't seem terrible and the storyline is interesting. However if Lauren was pregnant four years ago, then Hannah is three. Three year olds don't talk in complete sentences like they are maybe 5 or 6. They don't say thinks like "this is cool I'm gonna tell my friends" The author obviously doesn't have children as Hannah's diolouge is not realistic for her age and where is the damn car seat? Three year olds do not buckle themselves into a car, they still sit in a car seat! Get a clue lady!

Yes - the conclusion of this duet about Nikolai and Lauren. Nikolai has been presumed dead for 4 years but suddenly appears from the shadows and rescues Lauren from a dangerous situation. This is a roller coaster of a story, confusion over who are the allies and who are the enemies. But, now with Nikolai to lend his strength and protection to Lauren, fighting to be a family has become easier as a team. When you have something so precious to fight for, there is not anything that can't be dealt with to reach an HEA.

This was the ending of the duet and what an ending it was. Nikolai and Lauren were so good and always wrapped up in danger.

With Nikolai gone and her new daughter, Lauren's life had to go on.

Danger, suspense, drama and intrigue. This book was a fast paced, action packed delight. The twists and turns that came up and the serious Betrayal they had to deal with made this an exciting plot.

So well done. I'm enjoying this series and hope there is more to come. Fantastic duet!

This is the culmination of Nikolai and Lauren's journey and what an amazing trip it is. Once again someone is after Lauren, but she doesn't know who it is and she is about to get the surprise of her life when she finds out that Nikolai is alive. Their enemies are coming and Lauren will have to step up to defend what is hers. This story had me glued to my seat and my heart pounding from all the action.

There's a immediate attraction. Next she finds out she's pregnant and when Nicola finds out he kidnaps her to keep her safe from his enemies. A good story. This is the conclusion to book 1 in the duet and it was an emotional rollercoaster but such a good ending. Starts 4 years later when we learn how Lauren is coping bringing up Hannah her daughter after Nikolai dies. A threat happens and it brings out someone from the shadows. Emotions escalate, trust issues happen, but through it all the strength of the characters is great. What a twist it was great, loved it and can't wait to read more from this author.

This was amazing and even if the main characters were apart for a time. Their attraction was there and there love never died. It was a on going ride that developed the character even more then in book one. Nikolai learns how to love his daughter and Lauren with the ability to get close to them. Lauren is learning to let him in again.

A brilliant conclusion to book 1, after the cliff hanger at the end of the last book I was desperate to read the rest of Lauren’s story and my goodness this did not disappoint.

Full of emotion, drama and all the suspense and action you could want, this has been an excellent story of love, lost, revenge and happiness. I have absolutely loved reading both books.

Strong characters

You will find a strong mother in this story. A strong daughter. Both of them. Resolution. Nikolai has been closer than she realizes. But far enough for him to feel the pain of separation. The guilt. But mow he is forced out of hiding. And who are all of his enemies and who are his allies.
We get a great story and the HEA we all needed.

Loved the ending

This was a good two book story. Had just enough spice and action to hook you and keep you reading without sleep. My only complaint is the repeating filler information throughout the book. It doesn't help or hurt the story just something that kept catching my attention. I recommend this series and I have already added some of the others to my tbr.

Good plot

This is the second half of a 2 book read. Good characters with a good storyline.. the first part set the plot in motion, but I thought it was a bit overdone. The second book tidied up the plot, although it was a bit predictable.

Untamed Thirst

This book was better than the first book. It has closure. Lauren got closure more than most. She found her mother's killer, her Niko was not dead and she forgave her father. She ended up happily married.

Lisa Lovell Never Disappoints! ❤️

I love the beginning of this duet. Lauren crashes her bff’s wedding to a “criminal” and meets Niko. The antics at the beginning are delicious and the rest of the duet doesn’t disappoint!

Although I enjoyed reading this book, it should have ended with the big finale the author wrote. Anything else would be unbelievable and really tested the reader’s willingness to accept that something black is really white. Continuity issues also came into play.

eh.. it ended

I was so frustrated with the MFC and the first 100 pages dragged on. Then it just ended. I guess they had their HEA but after the number of pages I expected more at the ending.

Excellent story

Great story, seemed odd tho that a bratva leader would go into anything without having men behind his back (first book) and again in this one couldn't find a way to let her know over the 4 years. But good writing and story as a whole.

2nd part of the story. Glad it progressed as it did. Loved both the FMC & MMC. The inclusion of the little kid was a good addition to the story. Will continue with other books by this Author.
