عمر يعيش في مزرعة فيها أكثر أنواع الحيوانات الداجنة، ويحب اللعب مع صغارها. عندما يأتي الليل، لا يستطيع عمر النوم، فيحاول أن يلعب مع الحيوانات الصغيرة، لكن أمهاتها ترفض ع عمر ِطلُإيقاظها. وأثناء مروره على البقرة والبطة والناقة، ي القارئ على أسماء صغار الحيوانات وأصواتها.

Omar lives on a farm with lots of animals. When night comes, Omar can’t sleep and tries to play with the animals but their mothers refuse to wake them up. Omar tells us the names of the baby animals and their sounds. In the morning, he feels tired and wishes to sleep but the baby animals want to play with him.

Maitha AlKhayat is an Emirati mother of five children and an international children’s author and illustrator. She published more than 170 publications, some translated into English, Turkish and Italian. She delights children with her quirky yet cultural stories through interactive storytelling and workshops. Her award winning books are “My Own Special Way” and “Turn Off The Lights”. Her illustrations of “Father’s Date Palm Trees” was shortlisted for best picture book at Zayed Book Award 2020. Maitha enjoys traveling, cooking and even writing children’s TV shows like Iftah Ya Simsim, Sesame Street and Hamdoon; Emirati animation.
