There's Nothing A Man Won't Do To Clear His Name

They called him fastest gun alive, but Smoke Jensen is determined to stay on the right side of the law. That is, until he's jumped by six low-life robbers who steal his shirt--and his identity. Smoke's tried for robbery and murder, and sentenced to hang in morning. Someone's out to frame the Mountain Man . . . someone who's made a big mistake.

Justice--Mountain Man Style

Barely managing to escape on the morning of his hanging, Smoke's going after the desperados who've set him up. The gang thinks they have nothing to fear; they've already divided up the loot and gone their separate ways. But Smoke's going to hunt them down one by one. Because nobody frames the Mountain Man. Nobody who plans on staying alive, that is . . .

Smoke gets framed for a bank robbery and murder and is sentenced to hang. Seems like it could have been a great storyline but unfortunately it feels like the author just phoned in a by the numbers plot. Even the dialogue seemed flat.

Sally and Smoke Smite the Bank robbers!

Doesn't g we t better than this. Ups and downs and twists and turns. This story has so much confusion, action, and comedy of errors. You are going to love it.

This was my first read of the Mountain Man series. I had no issues at all jumping in at #34. It could have been a stand alone book.

Decent storyline. Not the best, not the worst. Seemed over-baked at times with unnecessary / excessive dialogue but did have some interesting twists.

I listened to the audio version. The narrator didn’t seem authentic nor match the main character. Seemed more upper-midwestern/northeastern yet he read at too slow of a pace. I listened at 1.5 and it still sounded normal.
