Plot: 4/5 • Spice: 3/5 ➡️➡️➡️ Adela’s birthday party gets cut short when her boyfriend decides to leave early for a different party. When Adela and her friends show up it gets messy. Cody, the boyfriend, asks them all to leave, but asked Adela to stay the night with him. She refuses. The next day? Adela finds out Cody is in the hospital. Beaten to a pulp. He’s in a coma.
Adela’s world gets rocked. She was going to surprise him with her college transfer to his school. He doesn’t know. Now @ UW, she starts to try and get answers to what happened. It starts with Cody’s laptop. A video. A video of Cody cheating.
We meet Beckett and Theo. Two of Cody’s hockey teammates. They don’t like Cody for something he’s done. They’re the ones who put Cody in the hospital. No one knows that for a while though. They scheme and try and break down Adela’s walls. Seeing if she knows anything.
Dark secrets involving all three of them surface. Adela is devastated. She was clueless. She absolutely never saw this coming. It gets worse. One of the girls involved runs Adela over with her car. This is when the guys see the light. They confess to everything. It takes almost dying for the secrets to come to surface.
This is a long one. 800 something pages. Didn’t really feel like it though. Wasn’t the biggest fan of the ending. We’re missing a lot of closure on some parts. We do get a HEA. A standalone.

Flows well, but man this is not good for women
I’m sorry I get the enemies to lovers trope…but this is NOT that.
This is abuse to acceptance.
If you like weak women this book is for you.
If you like women…it is not.
This seems like it was written by a man who thinks women are gullible and naive and will just accept any form of “love” handed to them.
Won’t be reading the other book in the series

So good. Read it then read book 1 if you haven't both anazing
I will say half way through I thought about throwing my phone at imaginary Cody because come on really. I don't want to spoil it but I kind of thought it was gonna be a mfm for good long time because ugh dirty ass dog Cody and theo and be k are not innocent but damn. Loved it still so awesome the hea was worth the cursing I did for Adela!

Interesting
This story hits different. What we think we know isn't always what is. Three men, ready to destroy each other. Secrets, separate lives, violence, mystery. Everyone out for themselves.

read the first and loved it! so decided to read this one! the plot is great! but all i’m saying is it would’ve just been a whole lot better with her staying with Beckett and theo! i just didn’t really feel anything with cody not after everything he did! spice was good not super spicy it’s def a slow/medium is burn!

Adela and the guys (Beckett, Theo and Cody) that form unusual relationships because of trauma and revenge. Make sure to review trigger warnings. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ As all why choose there is spice 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ with a good ending.

That was a bit unhinged but good! The cheating part bugged me, I've been through it. That is hard to forgive. Yet, I do understand it to some degree. The way things ended up where good!

loved it
I did like this book because I enjoy why choose books. I just wish there was a little more of them all together instead of just once a week. Just felt like the story clears cut short.
