Flows well, but man this is not good for women

I’m sorry I get the enemies to lovers trope…but this is NOT that.

This is abuse to acceptance.

If you like weak women this book is for you.
If you like women…it is not.

This seems like it was written by a man who thinks women are gullible and naive and will just accept any form of “love” handed to them.

Won’t be reading the other book in the series

I just want to start that I love it when an author puts a story on a page, but remember not all stories should be read by those who are hurting or drowning in the abuse in the book.

Kate Olivia did a good job, but it was not my cup of tea.

I am usually fine with trigger warnings in books. This told of horrible things that happened in the past, but it never happened again.

This choose me romance was crazy. The FMC was gaslighted so bad into thinking that she has to choose the 3 of them. If I was her I would've taken them out and started a new life in Mexico.

Boys: You have to choose.
Girl: Okay I choose none of you.
Boys: No you can't choose that.
Girl: Okay then I choose all of you.
Cody: Yes! my girl is a whore.


This was completely lame. UCLA is their rival team which was the characters of the first book.

Adela is using emotions to make decisions and the MMC's are using that to their advantage
Cody is a fuck boy who thinks he owns Adela.
Theo is a monster that has no emotions the whole book and then after his sister tries to kill Adela then he was like I will be sad about this. Psycho's don't do that.
Beckett was the better of the bunch, but he follows Theo blindly.

I am proud of the author for trying and I am sure there are people out there that enjoyed it.
It was not for me.

I wanted to go into the book and slap Adela for thinking she deserved them like that.
I don't do many reviews, but I couldn't let this go about how manipulated she was.

I had high hope for this duet series, but I am going to put Kate Olivia aside for a while and try another book.

Plot: 4/5 • Spice: 3/5 ➡️➡️➡️ Adela’s birthday party gets cut short when her boyfriend decides to leave early for a different party. When Adela and her friends show up it gets messy. Cody, the boyfriend, asks them all to leave, but asked Adela to stay the night with him. She refuses. The next day? Adela finds out Cody is in the hospital. Beaten to a pulp. He’s in a coma.


Adela’s world gets rocked. She was going to surprise him with her college transfer to his school. He doesn’t know. Now @ UW, she starts to try and get answers to what happened. It starts with Cody’s laptop. A video. A video of Cody cheating.


We meet Beckett and Theo. Two of Cody’s hockey teammates. They don’t like Cody for something he’s done. They’re the ones who put Cody in the hospital. No one knows that for a while though. They scheme and try and break down Adela’s walls. Seeing if she knows anything.


Dark secrets involving all three of them surface. Adela is devastated. She was clueless. She absolutely never saw this coming. It gets worse. One of the girls involved runs Adela over with her car. This is when the guys see the light. They confess to everything. It takes almost dying for the secrets to come to surface.


This is a long one. 800 something pages. Didn’t really feel like it though. Wasn’t the biggest fan of the ending. We’re missing a lot of closure on some parts. We do get a HEA. A standalone.

I will say half way through I thought about throwing my phone at imaginary Cody because come on really. I don't want to spoil it but I kind of thought it was gonna be a mfm for good long time because ugh dirty ass dog Cody and theo and be k are not innocent but damn. Loved it still so awesome the hea was worth the cursing I did for Adela!

read the first and loved it! so decided to read this one! the plot is great! but all i’m saying is it would’ve just been a whole lot better with her staying with Beckett and theo! i just didn’t really feel anything with cody not after everything he did! spice was good not super spicy it’s def a slow/medium is burn!

What in the wattpad did I just read? This is some amateur writing like it literally was from wattpad. The storyline is good and I thought it’d be promising but the execution was just lacking. Characters showed up without any introduction, scenes and time frames jumped without any notice it was a bit confusing at time to read and felt just chaotic

Wow! 883 pages and less than .01 of steam…Could have used more. Or even some …not a dark romance at all from the 500 I’ve read! Maybe read some others urself to realize what a reverse harem romance reads like…as I said very disappointing. Won’t read this author again Long drawn out and not worth 883 almost 900 pages really?

Adela and the guys (Beckett, Theo and Cody) that form unusual relationships because of trauma and revenge. Make sure to review trigger warnings. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ As all why choose there is spice 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ with a good ending.

That was a bit unhinged but good! The cheating part bugged me, I've been through it. That is hard to forgive. Yet, I do understand it to some degree. The way things ended up where good!

I did like this book because I enjoy why choose books. I just wish there was a little more of them all together instead of just once a week. Just felt like the story clears cut short.
