人づきあいの苦手な新進気鋭の画家・石原梓に、幼い頃から子犬のように懐いて後をついてきた6才年下の幼なじみ・稲葉晶吾。大きな図体の大学生となった今でも「梓ちゃん」と呼んでまとわりついては甘えてくる晶吾に、可愛い子犬がいつの間にか大型の駄犬になったと不満を洩らしていた梓だったが、ある日大学の友人達と一緒にいる晶吾を見て驚く。そこには自分の知らない、『男』の顔の晶吾がいた―。

This was almost impressive in how very bland it was. There was nothing exceptionally bad about it (apart from the writing style - one short sentence after the other), but also nothing exceptionally good. There was nothing about the characters and their relationship that made me care for them. The only thing this novel had going for itself were the illustrations by Kusama Sakae, which were stunning as always.
