Season 2 of Captive Films has come to a close. What I loved most about this episode was going into the past. Going back to Eastbrooke where it all began.
This installment focuses not only on Riley/Ariella and Dawson/Vanessa, but we also get chapters from Keatyn’s little sister, Gracie. I loved her parts in this story and I’m hoping in season 3 we get more of her.
Nothing surprised me more than how much I’ve loved Vanessa and Dawson in this series. They have officially stolen the show for me, which is not how I saw this going down when I started. I’m excited to see the direction their story goes.
The ending… Oye. I hope we don’t have to wait too long for the next season to come out because I’m dying to know whats happening here!
I love these characters, I love Jillian’s writing and I would highly recommend this series to all fans of the KC!

Captive 2.3 is the final episode in this season. The story begins with Riley, Keatyn and Dallas going back to Eastbrooke for Homecoming. It has been ten years since they returned and their lives have taken so many different directions.
This episode made me so emotional, I was tearing up reading about their memories. It is embarrassing to admit, but it reminded me of my own high school experience and plans. Add in that I feel like I know these characters and it makes their memories more real to me. Don’t get me wrong my life was never as glamorous as Keatyn’s, but I can relate to their feelings. When you are young you have these plans, some good, other’s bad, but regardless they are a part of you.
While at Eastbrooke Riley reflects back on his time with Ariela and the plans they made, how their lives detoured and the aftermath of those decisions. I loved this side of Riley and the hope I felt that things were finally, just maybe coming together.
Meanwhile at home, Vanessa and Dawson get some much needed time together. I never expected to love Vanessa when I read the KC, but she has become one of my favorite characters. I love their storyline. I cannot wait to see things progress further.
This is the Season Finale, but things are definitely not over. Jillian has so many more twists up her sleeve and I am a nervous wreck for things to come!
As always, I highly recommend trying the KC if you haven’t!

Oh holy crap on a cracker! That cliffhanger is going to be the death of me. Give me Season 3 NOW!!!!
Seeing some of the gang head back to Eastbrooke Academy and reliving the memories was pretty awesome. Getting a look into Gracie as a teenager was interesting and of course the unknown of Riley and Ariela.
I am beyond addicted to Jillians writing and this series. I don't think I can get enough!

Kindle Slamming Ending!!!
Author Jillian Dodd knocked this episode out of the ballpark!! I was not a happy camper when I tried to swipe to the next page and couldn’t because the episode had ended. I seriously wanted to throw my kindle against the wall I was so mad because I didn’t see that ending coming and need to know what happens next!!!!
This episode made up for everything the last one was missing. I loved the flashbacks to when they were in high school. Riley really shined in this episode and my heart broke for him several times. Dawson and Vanessa’s chemistry is smokin’ hot. I cannot wait to hear all of Dawson’s story and what really happened between him and Whitney.
“I suppose, eventually, I’m going to have to get naked too. Tell Vanessa the whole truth about what happened with Whitney.”
We got a bonus in this episode. Keatyn’s sister Gracie shows up and we get several chapters in her POV! I love her spunk and she reminds me so much of Keatyn. I love how protective Dallas is of Gracie. His fathering personality really stands out when he thinks a boy is toying with Gracie. You can really see how much he cares about her and doesn’t want to see her get hurt.
Each episode I become more and more addicted and hate when the episode is over. I have so many questions I need answers to and the way this one ended….OMG!!!!! The next episode I know is going to be off the charts!!!! Buckle up because this episode is going to take you on one insane ride. With the explosive ending that was thrown at me, I honestly have no idea how things are going to work out for them but I have a feeling it is going to be a ride full of emotional up and downs.

OMG, did Jillian Dodd just go there with a huge cliffie and no promise of continuing the series!!!! Surely she wouldn't do that to her fans and the Captive Film Addicts.
I couldn't put these books down. They were all consuming and so special that I feel like the characters have become part of my life. I couldn't imagine ever being without this loveable gang and apart from wanting to know what's next for Riley and Ariela, I also want to see how things turn out for Keatyn and Aiden with the forthcoming major events in their lives.
Dawson and Vanessa also continue to feed my addiction but I also want to see if Knox finds his HEA, with a normal girl. And, Grace, what can I say about Grace and her love interests.... Oh, the torment is just too cruel for words.
Please, please, please let there be more and let it be sooner rather than later!!!!

REVIEW OF COMPLETE SEASON - SPOILER FREE
Jillian Dodd’s stories are so fun and colorful (literally and figuritively). I’m not a huge fan of serials. One of the reasons being that I just don’t feel like I get a complete story. This is not the case with this serial series. I was engrossed by each episode. They are written just like television shows and I have enjoyed them just the same… anxiously awaiting each new episode. They are short, but full of excitement. It’s been so fun and satisfying being able to sneak in an episode while waiting to pick up my son from school or while cooking dinner.
The characters from the Keatyn Chronicles are grown up and are now living lives as Hollywood’s elite trying to find their place in business and in love. Even though these focus on the characters while they are older, the novellas still have a way of making you feel young and giddy! I can’t get enought :)
This series is full of excitement, secrets, tummy flip-flopping swoon. With multiple pov’s we get more of the roller coaster ride with Riley and Ariella (and her husband), find out what happened to Whitney and what the future holds for Dawson and Vanessa… and of course there is plenty going on with Keatyn and Aiden!
I would recommend reading these as a companion to the Keatyn Chronicles, but I did read Season 1 prior to the final book of the Keatyn Chronicles series and had no problems catching up.
As with the previous season, Jillian Dodd has said she will treat it as a television show and the series continuation depends on readers!!!! With that being said, please note you will get a full story with each season, but you will be dying for the next by the time it ends.

I wasn’t familiar with this author or the previous books prior to this series, but after reading both seasons of Captive Films, I am interested in going backwards as well as forwards in following this writer. These stories contain a myriad of characters, and go back and forth in their memories of high school and relationships over the past 10 years, so it took a bit of effort at first to keep them all straight, but I enjoyed the story line, liked the characters, and was entertained by the wit, humor, and steam of this cable soap opera type tale.

What could be better than a return to Eastbrooke and where the whole adventure began for Keatyn, Aiden, Riley, Ariela, Dawson & Dallas!! Oh I forgot to mention that we get we got just get [2] of The Johnson brothers we get a mention of all [4] along with Keatyn's little sister Gracie........
How do I factor in the best parts of this installment without giving away too much? Let me just leave you with a the thought that Cam really does ROCK and his line to Dawson's daughters is priceless!!

And the drama continues……..Season 2 was even more entertaining than Season 1. Season 1 ended up with a bit of a cliffhanger, so it was very entertaining to me, seeing how it would all play out. Season 2 was a lot of fun and was really addicting. Just when things in Season 2 seemed like they were starting to wrap up nicely, you thrown a crazy curve ball. One that will have you anxiously to find out what will happen next!

These books were unlike anything I had encountered previously... they are set out like a tv series with seasons and episodes which was strange but really good.
I haven't read the Keatyn Chronicles so I wasn't sure what I was getting myself in to and hadn't met the characters before.
I love that you get POV's from each of the characters and each character has their own thing going on so your getting many stories instead of just one.
I am absolutely addicted to these books... I read them one after the other and could have cried when I realised I had read them all and needed to wait for more.

I need more!!! I need season 3 like yesterday. I have loved catching up with Keatyn and the gang and it only ends up whetting my appetite for more. I love seeing them as adults and now with them back at Eastbrooke for a reunion/homecoming it brought back loads of memories. Loved it. (full review to come)

Such amazing things in the future for Keatyn and Aiden - I need to know more.
What will happen when the crew all heads back to Eastbrooke for their school reunion?
And did Ms Dodd just leave us on a cliffhanger, with giving us no idea if the series will continue????
I could not put this series down. I loved how it played as a tv series, as I was reading I could hear the dum dum dummmmmm as if we were left on a cliffy and off to a commercial break. It is a great, fun way to draw the readers in.
I hope we get another "season" as I really do want, no need to know where all the characters lives go next!

The drama continues in Captive Films 2.3 and I cannot get enough of it! Jillian Dodd continues us on the journey of the gang we met and fell in love with in the Keaton Chronicles. If you have not read this series it’s phenomenal! I highly recommend them and tell everyone they are missing out if they have not experienced The God of all Hotties! Yes, the God of all Hotties! How can you not resist him! The KC books were the gang in high school and now they are all grown up and I still love them just as much!
I have to say this is one of my favorite episodes so far as the Riley, Dallas, and Keaton returned to Eastbrooke for Homecoming. The place where they all met! Being there brings back a lot of memories for them all but especialy Riley. Every place they go there are memories filed with him and Ariela. When she makes a surprise visit as well, they take a trip down memory lane together. Will be enough to find their way back to each or has too much time already past?
In the last episode, Vanessa and Dawson’s relationship was starting to heat up but then she received the surprise of her life when she found out he has children. In this episode, Vanessa has to take a long look inside herself to see if this is the path she wants? She has miscarried in her previous marriage. Is she ready to be a mother figure?
And lastly there is Keaton. She has some big decisions to make with regards to Captive Films and their future. In this episode we get another Thompson sister but this time its Avery! I love seeing the other siblings make an appearance and getting to know them!
This series continues to be one of my all-time favorites and having this novella series just adds to it! I sure hope there is a season three as there are plenty of loose ends to tie up! This is one series that I would highly recommend! 5 huge stars!

I won the season 2 ARC from Jillian Dodd from her Keatyn Chronicles Group to give an honest opinion.
I'm re reading the KC series now because there was so much that I had missed/forgotten but when winning the damn season 2. Couldn't resist. I LOVE Keatyn, Dallas, Riley and everyone. Love how you get to see your people in the future and not imagine how things would turn out. Because sometimes it does not turn out how you think it would.
"Uncle Cam says if you don't use it will fall off and die. I'm pretty sure he was talking about your heart." Firstly the kids in the book are amazingly funny. Kids say the the damndest things ever. Swear this was my favorite. My favorite moments that prove how much I love it.

3. Hello Gracie with B's cousin and now this new guy. HELLO she's so much like Keats. Can't wait to see that play out
4. Updated Stockholm is awesome.
5. Riley going off the deep end because love isn't always perfect, it can be such a rollercoaster. So glad that you added this in there because love is not perfect. Riley and Areila's story is not over. Your cliffy on that made me gasp. I hit my hand on the bed and everything. My husband may or may not looked at my crazily.

"Uncle Cam says if you don't use it will fall off and die. I'm pretty sure he was talking about your heart." Firstly the kids in the book are amazingly funny. Kids say the the damndest things ever. Swear this was my favorite. My favorite moments that prove how much I love it.

Captive Films has captivated me since its first season. I liked Keatyn, Riley, and some of the gang. I liked how Jillian Dodd was able to give us a story that covers the day to day lives of the characters without being boring or uneventful.
I liked Riley. Even if he was the biggest player. I liked Ariela the least, though. I admire her for finally having the back bone to stand up for herself, but seriously, I found her to be a spoiled rich girl who expects good things to be handed her way instead of working hard. Truthfully, she had it easy. So what if her husband was a philanderer? At least he did not mess her around with his fists.
I liked Keatyn too because she was simple, even if she was a well know actress. She's also a great sister. I loved her love story too, although it was pretty much just happy all the time.
This second season of Captive Films is even more thrilling than the first one. I sincerely wish there is a third season because I want every character to get their happy ending, even the teenagers. This series is definitely an entertaining read and really gives us the TV series feel with all its cliffhangers and suspenseful endings. I will rate this season four red hearts.

Review of "Captive Films" (Season 2, Volumes 1-3)

Well, I received ARC's for these three books, in exchange for my honest review. These were the first books that I have read by author Jillian Dodd, and I guess it was my own fault for not knowing her style prior to my investment in this story. I was very disappointed and upset for about 10 minutes. Lol. But, they were good books, and I am sure that I will read the next season as soon as it is available! After all, I really want to know how it all turns out!

OH My Swearword!! There is nothing better than getting lost in the world of Captive Films!! The final two episodes of Season 2 are are full of emotion and suspense that you don't know whether to reach for the tissue or the popcorn. Poor Riley, his ride this season has been one of epic proportions!!! From big cat daddy baller to heart broken to finally maybe getting his happy ending, he has had more thrown at him than one person can take and talk about getting the ultimate slap in the face. There is no way his story is any where near finished. And Dawson, oh holy hotness!! I love him and Vanessa together. But what dark secrets is he still holding on to and can Vanessa handle it. And what about Keatyn & Aiden, there wedding is only a week away. We just have to know how that ends. They are our modern day Prince Charles and Lady Di for crying out loud!!
Ok, so know you know what a fan girl I am. If you want to feel this way too, then started read Captive Films NOWWWWW!!! WE NEED SEASON #3 ASAP!!!! This is a collective review for all three volumes in this season
This season continues on from where season one leaves off.
It wouldn't be a Jillian Dodd book without all the ups and downs that the characters from the Keatyn Chronicles being apparent throughout the books.
This series follows an epic night out in Vegas that Riley, Dawson,Jennifer and Knox partake in and the aftermath of this drunken mess!
The books once again alternate in multiple POV which I think is brilliant it's really a fresh way of writing and as a seasoned reader I loved how the individual stories merge together around our favourite book girlfriend Keatyn.
Jillian has added in Keatyn's lil sis Gracie into this season and I think it could lead to something from her in the future.
I just have to say that these books are well worth the read especially if you are a fan of the Keatyn Chronicles, I think Jillian has written these kids that are now adults brilliantly and has made the transition to this part of their lives flawlessly and for an author to develop these characters ten years later to me is no mean feat and I'm still as absorbed with these characters as I was with the original Novels.
I urge any fans of the KK books get these you will not be disappointed.

Eek!! Now that I know we are inching closer to the final installments with this group of characters, I’m kinda freaking out. I absolutely adore all of the people JIllian Dodd created in the Keatyn Chronicles and then carried on with Captive Films. I am obsessed. I will miss getting updates on their lives but I am pleased they are all finally nearing their individual happily ever after’s.
Captive Films 2.3 is the conclusion to this group of installments. It’s like watching a TV show – you have reached the end of the viewing season and should be prepared for a cliff-hanger ending. While you feel some satisfaction and closure, the author leaves enough unresolved to still move the plot forward for one more season. (I cannot seriously wait to get Season Three!)
I think the Captive Films series is a extremely entertaining read and a terrific way to continue a beloved series. Each segment is a quick read and very well written – you cannot help but enjoy it. At this point, the characters are old friends and leave you laughing out loud. I am completely addicted to these novellas and highly recommend them.

Captive Films: Season Two – Volume 3 by Jillian Dodd has taken the characters full circle. For Riley he will have to go full circle and accept the past before he can really move forward and have the ADULT life he dreamed of having. Some of his issues will be solved. He will have something to look forward to. All the characters will find something they lost in past and use it in their future lives.
Riley has finally found what he wants and where he wants to go in life. He has put the past to rest. He is moving forward from his mistakes. All is looking bright and shiny until one of those mistakes drops the bomb that could make Riley’s World explode into pieces. Can you guess what happens next? Cliffhanger!
Now readers will have to anxiously await to see how Riley is going to pick up the pieces of this latest explosion. Captive Films: Season Three cannot get here soon enough!

This was by far my favorite episode! Following along with Keatyn, Riley, Gracie, Dallas, Ariela, and the rest of the gang just keeps getting better and better. I feel like a soap opera junkie when I read these because I just. have. to. know. what. happens. next!
In Season 2.3 you have some questions answered that were posed in the first two parts, and plenty of smiles along with a few weepy moments. Or maybe that's just me because I'm an emotional reader...and I connect with each of these characters in some way. Now, it wouldn't be a drama if there wasn't something to look forward to...Jillian doesn't disappoint!
I can't say too much because this is just one more piece to the Captive Films puzzle, but if you love Jillian Dodd and you love a little soap opera drama in your reads, pick this series up and devour it! I have and I can't wait for more...please say there's more?!

In this episode we get more than Keatyn, Riley and their personal drama although yeah that was what I was focused on. I need to know what Happens to Riley and Arelia. Now we are introduced to the siblings, starting out at the school our gang first met in and getting into the same kinds of trouble. New characters with more exciting story lines. But for me I am focused on Riley. I loved how in this book he had some enlightening moments. Learning that maybe he wasn't the only one that was heart broken for so many years. Learning that maybe he can forgive and move past the pain to make his life more stable.
For Arelia, I love how she get more confident in herself. She is living her life on her terms and all else be damned, all but Riley. Can they make things work?
Now ladies, this book has the most shocking ending yet! Brace your selves you will for sure be yelling at your readers.. I DID! I want more cuz Jillian you can't leave me hanging!!!

Right this is going to be short and sweet because to be honest I am aghast at the ending …seriously Jillian I’m not sure I will make it to a Season 3???
I have loved this series it has been most entertaining and getting to know the gang has really been
a pleasure – some of them more than others as I am sure you can understand but over all I have to say it has been a cracker of a series.
This book in particular has enough going that you will be quickly engrossed. It deals with a few hangovers from the Vegas trip still and gives us enough to ponder on until the crew are back in our fingertips again.
I have to say that I am a Riley fan and having no idea who he was prior to this series I am surprised how much I have taken to him, he may be a player but it still didn’t deter me from letting him make himself at home in my heart just a little!
I am waiting with baited breath to see what MS Dodd has in store for next season.

4.5 Season Loving Stars
I loved Keatyn and seeing these character grown and seeing what they have done with their lives is wonderful.
This is the final episodes in this season of Captive Films and I can not wait for Season Three! Riley is progressing nicely in this one, I do not find him quite as immature as he was. He is slowly growing on me.
This is such an entertaining series, the episodes are quick read but leave you wanting more. I feel like I know these people and would want to be in there world. I love the relationship between Keatyn and Aiden. I love the inside look at how this organization runs. I just love everything about these novellas.
