Bestfriend's brother / Curvy Girl / Quarterback / Enemies to lovers / He falls first
Aria has finally gotten her greatest moving to California with her best friend after high school. Between the sunshine, the massive campus, and the beach, she's on cloud nine. Until, that is, she locks eyes with the star receiver of the university football team. Tall, muscular, irresistible...it doesn't take long for her to fall under Cooper's spell. However, doubts linger. Aria has no relationship experience, low self-confidence, and has never truly been a fan of her own body. So when her best friend's brother agrees to coach her on how to win over Cooper, she accepts the challenge. But there's one major Jude and Aria can't stand one another. In fact, they hate each other. Or at least...that's what they think.
DNF at 30%. I was not connecting to any characters at all. As a plus size woman I wanted to connect with Aria but she was kind of annoying. Very slow paced. Nothing is actually happening and everything seems already repetitive. Just the small amount I’ve read makes me remember why I dislike the needing a dating coach type of stories. The banter was boring. I just couldn’t push myself to finish this.
Spoiler:
I haven’t read ahead but I already know that Cooper and Margaret are gonna end up together because the signs were obvious 🙄also, putting the person Aria was first crushing on in a relationship with her best friend and new love interests sister is all just too close and obvious for me. And it also makes the storyline too easy, too convenient and too predictable. I’ll take it back if they don’t end up together but I have a strong feeling they will.

Gain your confidence with Aria as you follow along on her story with her best friend's brother, Jude. Always seen as the annoying older brother to her best friend, thru story changes as they meet up in college and come up with a plan to help Aria get together with her crush, who just happens to be Jude's teammate. Cute story with some plot twists. A fun read that I didn't put down.
The overall book was great. I love a romance that has been building since childhood. The only issue was the ending. I hated all the overthinking (I’m a huge overthinker and it was a bit much), I needed both of them to step out of their head for a minute and pay attention to each other with full opened eyes. I also wish I could get a little more from the ending and epilogue. I will definitely continue with the authors books because the writing was my cup of tea.
Good story, but the epilogue being 5 years of long distance wasn’t the greatest ending. Their time apart before they came back together was self-imposed and kind of disappointing- they’re talking out their issues and love each other already but then randomly say “we can be friends” ?? It didn’t fit. But not a bad story
Ok this story was amazing I couldn’t put it down. I loved the lol moments and how these 2 are with each other makes the storyline works so much more. Highly recommend the book and author
Pretty good story, I like the banter between the two main characters alot. I wanted to give this more stars but I think it was about 50 pages too long. The angst in the story was over done. Even though the ending is HEA it took too long to get there and was anticlimactic and quick.
Definitely did not expect to like it as much as I did. The emotional rollercoaster kept me wanting to know what happens next and I really enjoyed Jude’s POV. Seeing how into her he was was very endearing.
