The Eight Sin was everything I want in a dark fantasy and more. From the very beginning, Crystal Crist pulled me in. Every time I thought I had the story figured out, another revelation completely changed what I thought I knew.

One of the biggest reasons I love this story is its dark fantasy premise, and it absolutely delivered. The magic system had enough complexity to keep me invested without becoming overwhelming, and the vivid descriptions made the setting feel real. This has an immersive setting that felt both beautiful and dangerous, making it easy to get lost in the story.

The character development was one of the strongest aspects of the book. Watching the FMC grow into her power was so satisfying. Her journey was filled with challenges and self-discovery. I loved seeing her gain confidence and embrace the strength she had within her all along.

The unexpected fated bond added emotional depth and tension to the story, while the love triangle kept me constantly questioning who I was rooting harder for. The found family that began in the first book continued to grow throughout this book, and by the end, I was emotionally attached to the characters and their connections with one another.

Kaiden and Dez are easily my favorite MMCs. The "touch her and die" energy throughout the book is exactly the kind of intensity I love in fantasy romance. Azrael and Malakai stood out and have become my favorite side characters leaving me curious how their story will unfold.

The multiple POVs and multiple timelines, with recovered memories, gave me a deeper understanding of the characters and the larger story. There were several moments that gave me anxiety about which bonds and relationships would survive everything that was unfolding, and that anxiety kept me turning pages.

The twists came one after another. With plenty of action, romance, mystery, and character development this story had me invested from beginning to end.

This book put me through all my feelings! It was such a roller coaster 😮‍💨 but so worth it.

Morrigan finally got answers and even got training to wield her fire magic. And the bonus is Tristan! Omg yes this man is drowning me with his devotion to Morrigan 🔥

And Morrigan is so protective of Azrael 🥹 protecting him like a mother would 💜

Oh how all of the lords got to think over every mistake that they made towards Morrigan, but that is how everyone got on the same page. And that thanks to Tristan 😈😋

Kaiden has found his equal with Tristan both of them are a force to be reckoned with and neither will stray from Morrigan and will do anything within their power to kill for her 🥵

Finally got some answers and I already hoped Cain would die but that ending?! I DID NOT see that one coming 🤯 this serie keeps me on my toes and I want the next book already!!!

I thought I loved the 1st book, but then here comes Crystal, making this book even better. I absolutely loved this book. I don't want to give away any spoilers, so you will just have to read it yourself. Amazing job Crystal and can't wait to see if there are more books to follow

Watching Morrigan grow, through everything she’s been through, in this series has been perfect. Poor girl goes through HELL and still not only survives, but prevailed!

I can’t wait the next book of this series!

I was so excited to read the next installment in this series. I reread the first book right before which I loved all over again. Reading multiple POVs is always a favorite of mine. I do wish we could get a deeper dive into each character but I’m sure it’s coming! Meeting Tristan was a highlight. I love their relationship. Seeing Mor come into her power and controlling it more was empowering. Mal is one of my favorite characters. This book gave me all the feels. There are many twist and turns that keep you guessing. There is a good balance of spice and storyline. I can’t wait for the next one already to see what happens next. Couldn’t recommend this book more!
I received this book as an ARC and this is my honest opinion.

Firstly, thank you so much to Crystal for allowing me to read this as an ARC. The Eighth Sin releases on 7/7/26.

I admit, I spent the majority of the book confused. I kept thinking I should have reread the ending of book one because the rabbit hole of new characters and story lines I fell into was vast. I loved how Crystal tied them up and back into the main story line. By the end of my book I was with my besties again….until that epilogue plot twist. Better than a cliffhange I suppose! 🤣

I enjoyed reading this story. Every time you think you know what’s going to happen, another twist and turn comes and changes what you think you know.

This book has so much character growth in it that was written really beautifully and I really loved watching the MFC grow into herself and her power.

The new love interest was not an unexpected surprise when you found out who he is, but he seems to fit in with them all really well.

I found out all the characters added something to the story including the side characters, no two characters were the same.

Absolutely love the plot I was hooked from the first page of the first book. I just did not want to put them down. These books had great well building.

I look forward to reading more from this offer in the future.

Love the story very much, couldn't put it down. I'm curious for what is gonna happen next, can't wait actually. The growth that the heroine is actually going through. From one that thought she was no one to what she now actually is, even if we don't Know everything yet.

After the wild ride of book one, The Eighth Sin picks up right in the thick of the chaos, and honestly? It completely consumed me. We start with Morrigan escaping a toxic, torturous Lord who forced a bond on her (absolutely trash behavior, I hate him). She flees straight into the Netherworld with the young boy she rescued, and let me tell you, this place is bleak, the dumping ground for condemned monsters of war and lost souls. But it’s also where she finds the actual catalyst of the ancient gods' war: the other half of her soul. The world-building expansion in this sequel is insane. While navigating the Netherworld, Morrigan unearths the deeply gruesome, hidden history that the gods tried to bury centuries ago, and the sheer scale of the plot has me completely hooked.

What I deeply appreciate about Crystal Crist’s writing is how she completely subverts the typical why-choose romance expectations. You aren't getting a safe, copy-paste harem here. Not everyone is a potential partner; actual evil is lurking right inside the inner circle, just waiting for the perfect moment to strike. Plus, I love that not every bond is strictly intimate. Some characters just want to fiercely protect her and stand by her side platonic-style, which feels so much more grounded and refreshing. To top it off, the book tackles LGBTQ+ themes completely independent of the FMC, adding a layer of representation that feels totally natural to the world.

Can we also talk about the new additions to Morrigan’s support squad? Having Malachi and Azrael in the mix is top-tier character development. I am already lowkey manifesting a Malachi-Lyra love interest for book three because the chemistry potential is just sitting right there.

By the time I hit the epilogue, my heart literally dropped and I almost threw hands because I thought I was about to be disappointed. Turns out, it was just the most agonizingly perfect introduction to book three. The absolute top-tier groveling, the bleeding raw emotion in those high-stakes moments, and that sudden narrative turnaround at the very end? Absolute chef's kiss.

Picking up right where Courting Sin leaves off, this book throws you in headfirst. Morrigan awakens in a another realm, and the Lords (minus 1) are desperate to find her and bring her home....and not just for sustenance. Could there be more to the bonds than they originally thought?

The flashbacks added a lot of insight. It was an interesting trchnique to show how the actions of the past tied directly into current events. I also loved the additions of new characters in the mysterious realm. They added a layer of mystery and intrigue to an already amazing story and also revealed more about the gods because this realm supposedly housed Rosina's monsters. One of them is Mal, who is fierce and protective. He helps Morrigan find her strength and power. And there is yet another literal shadow daddy in Tristan who just adds another layer to an already crowded, complex love life. Morrigan is collecting shadow daddies left and right. Lucky.

I don't want to give away spoilers, but the way the story weaves answers long hidden mysteries. Everything I thought I had figured out about the Lords, Morrigan, the gods, and the prophecy was shattered. The leftover pieces are shaping to come together in a way that left my jaw dropped.

Also bravo to Crystal for expanding the why choose 🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶 and opening doors into new pairings and partnerships for everyone. Some of the scenes literally left me blushing.

Of course just when everything seems to be in place and all is settled....BOOM. A bombshell revelation that left me begging for book 3 to come out ASAP.

5 stars for literally pulling me in and never allowing me to let go.

🌼 The Eighth Sin Review 🌼

🌟 5/5
🌶️ 2/5

🖤 Why Choose
🖤 Vampires/Gods
🖤 Shifters
🖤 Chosen One
🖤 Book 2

This one was one of my most anticipated reads of this year and Crystal didn’t disappoint. I got everything I was hoping for and more. The emotional rollercoaster of this book is one you never want to get off of.

We pick up where we left off in book 1 and it’s a wild ride cover to cover. Secrets and lies are revealed. Hearts are broken but healing. The devastation is so real you can feel it. I couldn’t put this one down and finished it basically in one sitting. I don’t want to say much about the plot and ruin it. But it will blow your mind 🤯. And the few spice scenes we get? 🥵 perfection.

Plus an honorable mention for new characters who absolutely stole the show and my heart. 🐺

Overall, this is a five star read for me. The pacing is perfect. The characters are real and raw. And the plot!? Addictive. And the romance was everything I love about a why choose. 👏 I also absolutely love the world building and the magic in this one. It’s unique and very interesting.

I received an Advanced Reader Copy of Eighth Sin from the author after really enjoying the first book of this series, Courting Sin.

This is definitely a dark fantasy book with some spice which picks up its beginning from the end of book 1. As in my review for Courting Sin, the world building is absolutely incredible particularly getting a feel through the flashbacks about the significance of some of the events from over 300 years ago, and the discovery that Morrigan's imaginary friend who helps soothe her nightmares is not imaginary at all but has sworn to protect her after their connection starts was heartwarming.

I thought I hated Kaiden up until about 3 chapters into this book where I realised that he wasn't the villain he appeared to be in book one.

Overall if you like your romance dark, your men obsessed with you and a situation where the FMC does not have to choose this series is for you and you definitely must read both books!

Eighth Sin is released on Amazon on July 8, but you can read Courting Sin now!

If you haven't picked up the first book in this series, Courting Sin, be sure to do that before jumping into this one, and if you read the first book, you will not want to miss this one!

This review is going to be short and sweet because we learn so much more about this world and about this prophecy that I do not want to give anything away!

Morrigan is learning to stand on her own two feet. She becomes quite the bada$$ and no longer needs protecting. Her harem may need some protection from her! I loved her growth in this book, and she can only get stronger from here!

We finally find out who the mystery man is coming into Morrigan's dreams, and I am still not sure about my feelings on it! I adore Kaiden!! Let's just add another harem member, shall we?

I laughed, and I cried, especially during one particular scene! Crystal Crist sure knows how to put me in my feels!

And now I am left with answers but so many more questions! Looking forward to the next one!

I was so excited to return to the Kingdom of Andonia, and while The Eighth Sin didn't capture me quite as quickly as Courting Sin did, I still thoroughly enjoyed the journey.

Crystal Crist continues to shine when it comes to worldbuilding. The lore surrounding Andonia, and the gods remains rich, immersive, and beautifully crafted. Her writing is atmospheric and descriptive, making it easy to lose yourself in the world she's created.

One of Crist's greatest strengths is her ability to create a world that feels expansive and lived-in while still grounding the story in meaningful character moments. Fans of lore-rich romantasy and slower-burning fantasy plots will find plenty to appreciate here.

Thank you to the author and the ARC team for the opportunity to read and provide an honest review.

A must read after Courting Sin as it picks up just where Courting Sin left off after Morrigan escapes Cain. Morrigan finds herself in an even stranger place but starts to learn both about the past lies and how to wield her fire. Six of the seven Lords are desperate to return her no matter the cost, but will she get the answers she seeks or uncover more hidden than anyone realizes? Will the price to fix what’s broken be worth the cost? Content warnings to heed of course as well.

So many unexpected twists and turns it’s completely unpredictable! Such vivid depictions you get lost in the action while watching Morrigan grow into herself and her magic. Love seeing the old characters and love the new ones added as well. Roller coaster of emotional upheaval but so worth the read! I can’t wait the next book of this series!

To say I am obsessed with this book is an understatement!! I loved the first book but this one was even better!! It picked up right where the last one left off and I was glued to it from the very first page. This book was full of action and twists and turns. I loved getting to see all of the characters again with an addition of some new ones that I loved just as much.

The character development in this book is beautiful. I loved getting to see the FMC grow and learn more about herself and standing up for what she wants and needs. I also really enjoyed getting to see more perspectives in this book through the changing POVs of pretty much all of the main characters at some point. The addition of a new MMC was interesting and continues to add more to the story (Still Team Kaiden though). I need more NOWWWWWW

The Eighth Sin by Crystal Crist was an excellent second installment! I finished it in just two days because it was nearly impossible to put down. The story pulls you in from the very first chapter and keeps the pace moving with plenty of twists, tension, and emotional moments that kept me turning pages late into the night.

The character development was one of my favorite parts. Relationships deepened, stakes grew higher, and the plot expanded in ways that felt both surprising and satisfying. Crystal Crist does a wonderful job balancing suspense, emotion, and storytelling, leaving readers eager to discover what happens next.

If you enjoyed the first book, this sequel does not disappoint. A captivating read that kept me invested from beginning to end. I highly recommend it and cannot wait for the next installment! 📚✨

The Eighth Sin was a strong follow-up to Courting Sin and easily kept me invested from beginning to end. Crystal Crist continues to expand the world of Andonia with intricate politics, shocking revelations, and plenty of emotional moments that kept me turning the pages. Morrigan's growth throughout the story was one of my favorite aspects, and the relationships continue to evolve in compelling ways. The found family dynamics, tension, and twists added so much depth to the story.

While there were a few sections that felt slower paced, the captivating world-building, complex characters, and unexpected plot developments more than made up for it. Fans of dark romantasy, morally gray characters, and high-stakes fantasy will find a lot to love here. That ending left me desperate for more!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ / 🌶️🌶️🌶️

The bar was high for this one and Crystal didn’t just meet my expectations, she EXCEEDED them! I love her writing style and the way she can make me love and hate characters so passionately is a testament to her as an author!

After the cliffhanger in book one I had no idea what was in store for Morrigan, Azrael and the seven Lords going forward. What I certainly didn’t expect was to meet and fall in love with yet another character - but here we are 🤭

The love stories aside, getting to watch Morrigan own her pain and grow from it all while continuing to be the light in the dark was really incredible. She is such a strong, powerful FMC and I can’t wait to see what happens next for her.

BUT THAT ENDING?!? 😱 I need the next book NOW!!

Im speechless! This book answered so many questions from the first book. The back stories, the bonds, the Gods.
Morrigan and Azrael find out where they ended up after the fall from the bridge. There are sinister things in the unknown realm, but there are also answers. Truths come to light. The Lords are still looking for her. Kaiden and Dez are feeling the strain of Morrigan being missing. I didnt want the book to end and im so excited for the next book. This series lives rent free in my head and I will never grow tired of reading or recommending it!

BRAVO !!!!! Book Two is EXACTLY what we were all hoping it to be! If you haven't read the first book then you are TRULY missing out.
Crystal has done it again by making Andonia and all the characters come to life . The story will consume you, and have you thinking about what comes next throughout its entirety! I spent hours reading this book, only putting it down when I had to go to bed.
It is a reverse harem with 7 vampire lords and now there's a new hottie to add in !OMG... Iykyk!
The story overall is well written. 10/10 on the spice chart. The story will captivate you and keep you wanting more.

Release Date: July 7th

Son of a......Crystal Crist has written an amazing series and now I'm chomping at the bit for book 3!!! You know what you did ma'am!!!

I loved book one, Courting Sin, and thought it was amazing. However, some how Crystal came back and created an even better second book!!

Love the multiple POVs, meeting the new characters, the banter, the found family, and definitely the spice!! I dont want to spoil anything but I will say that every time I thought I had figured something out, bam new information and back to the drawing board.

That cliffhanger is absolutely diabolical!!!

Truly, a great series! I typically don't read RH but this one really has me hooked. Each MC has their own unique personality and traits that you learn and love about them. Love the FMC, and the story is out of this world. Its spicy, without overwhelming the plot line. This is book 2, so make sure you read book 1 as well, as this is not a standalone.

Wow! I love this book! This one and the first book have taken solid places in my top 10!
The book is well written and the premise is excellent. I was there for the heart breaking and then the fixing (I do however think Morrigan forgave a bit quickly). I like the world and character building and hope that in future books it’s expanded on more!
Great level of spiciness, it doesn’t overtake the plot but is the right level to keep the story moving.
I can’t wait for more!

AHHHH!! Absolutely DEVOURED this book! FEMININE RAGE IS BACK BABY!

Want a book with vampires? Unique magic systems? Terrifying gods? Reverse harem? Morally dark characters? Lots of spice? An epic plot? LOOK NO FURTHER!

Crystal did it again! What an epic sequel to Courting Sin! I was truly not expecting all of the twists, turns, and new characters within this book.

She kept the readers guessing throughout the book with chapters focused on memories and different character perspectives.

I truly can’t wait for her next one!!!

Aaaamazing story!!! I thought book 1 was good, but book 2 completely blew it out of the water! There was much more plot to this one, which REALLY grabbed my attention. As usual, the attention to detail was fantastic. I could literally "see" everything that was happening throughout the story. I loved all of the exposed secrets that the lords held (kept things very interesting), and Tristan...what can I say? He's my pick for sure! Okay...maybe Kaiden and Dez too. ;)
Overall, I was super impressed! I absolutely cannot wait to see what book 3 has in store for us!

A strong main character, an interesting religion and a few big hearts.

This second book in the series is set in a shadow world of the first, which is the scene of manipulation, betrayal and falling in love.
It is about fate, family, loyalty, survival in a dull, magicless world which can only be abandoned through sacrifice. It is also about self-awareness, empathy, finding the good in anyone and forgiveness.

A good, 4.5 stars read.

I received an advance review copy for free via BookSirens, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

I literally read this book in a week and a half. I was a bit nervous to read second one, since sometimes the second book of series seem to not live up to the first but this sequel was everything I wanted and more.

Seeing the love between all the characters grow and seeing how they are all going to share Morrigan. I was left speechless multiple times throughout this book. The spice is spicy and the plot just kept getting better.

Finding out more of the backstory kept me hooked. It was one twist after another. I cannot wait to dig deep into the universe that is being presented.

After reading the first book Courting Sin this second book took me into the continuing world building of the Netherworld, the concept of seven lords trying to bond with Morrigan with all the twists and turns between them made the story seamless between all the different characters. The deception and lies to control everyone with cruel memories and fear keeps you engulfed in the book, I can’t wait for the next book to see what happens next with all the amazing characters.❤️❤️❤️❤️
