Mighty Mega Pets Freaky Food Fiasco by genius author Gary Northfield, is super cool with telling a chapter story in comic setting.
Meet Daisy the dog, and Ginger the cat.
How hilarious a goldfish in a bowl has superpowers! And I laughed more, ha ha ha ! grumpy tortoise wants superpowers too.
Children will love all the comical animal characters and the chaos that unfolds.
I highly recommend this hilariously fiction comic book to all girls and boys!

How come some pets got superpowers, such as multiple legs and speed for a sausage dog, and laser eyes for a starey cat? More important, unfortunately, is how this nonsense got published. I read a great chunk in search of a single quip that landed, and a single explanation of why the dialogues had the animals' speech bubbles presented in a random colour for every utterance, as opposed to one each for clarity. The artwork is not great, the "humour" is definitely for the under-tens and nobody else, meaning this is limited in appeal, and while the best nonsense will always make some kind of sense, this ignores the latter part of that declaration completely. The sheer kinetic bravura of it is all that prevents this from getting a solid one star, but as my one-and-a-half looks exactly the same, you're definitely better off without.

This graphic novel is a brilliant, funny read that’s perfect for kids who love action and silliness. The idea of ordinary pets suddenly getting superpowers is really imaginative, and the story is packed with humour, adventure, and lots of laugh-out-loud moments.
The comic-style format makes it easy and exciting to read, with colourful illustrations that bring all the characters to life. My daughter absolutely loves these kinds of books, and this one was a big hit. It also made a really nice change from her reading Dog Man, while still keeping that same fun, energetic feel.

I thought that this was such a fun story to read! The story was well written and it was easy to read and understand. The illustrations in the book were just wonderful, they were nice, bright and colourful and they brought the story to life too. It is 4 stars from me for this one - highly recommended and a fun read!

Thoroughly enjoyed this. A little bit chaotic, silly and irreverent, but something I think kids will love! With pet food that has been laced with superhero substance, you end up with some pets that have some mad skills! Flying! Laser eyes! Spaghetti arms! This is funny and will fit in perfectly in my classroom collection.
