Warborn Saga: Book 1 - Induction

Rate this book
Two worlds. One system. And a choice that could change everything.

Rex is just a kid in a world where Warborn—the most watched battle royale on the planet—decides who becomes rich and famous. It’s more than a game. It’s culture. Status. Escape. For Rex, it’s the one place that makes sense.

Then a single question appears on a school computer

Would you like to become the Operator?

He clicks yes. His reality shifts.

What was once only possible in games begins unfolding beyond the screen. Strength becomes measurable, and trials begin surfacing around the world. Rex is given authority he never wanted, forced to oversee tests that are no longer confined to the game.

In another world, Princess Nathalia fights to hold her kingdom together as ancient magic awakens in her blood and enemies tighten their grip around the throne. The world she believed she understood is only a fragment of something far larger.

Two worlds are moving toward an inevitable collision. Neither is ready.

One decision may determine whether both survive.

Not Bad, I liked it

A few leaps of logic are needed to be overlooked, but otherwise a good start for a new author. I enjoyed the book including the duality of worlds that the story jumps between.

I have never read books from the fantasy genre before. This was a great induction. As I read, I felt like I could see the story alive in front of me, hear the conversations. Looking forward to the next book!

I’m a big fan of sci-fi and fantasy, but this was my first experience with this particular subgenre, and I thoroughly enjoyed it! I’ve always been drawn to open-ended adventure and RPG-style games where character progression is a core part of the experience. Whether it’s developing a character in games like Diablo or building skills and abilities throughout an open-world adventure, I’ve always found that sense of growth, discovery, and possibility incredibly engaging. This book captured that same feeling in a way that translated surprisingly well to the page.

It was a really strong opening to what could become a very compelling series. It introduced me to a genre I hadn’t explored before and left me eager to continue the journey. I’m looking forward to seeing where the story goes in future installments. More Rex please!
