great book

What a wonderful detailed story that had you on the edge of your seat. The story was so well written. It had interesting descriptions of medical practices and procedures. Written in a way that was easy to understand. This author is so talented! When I am reading a book that is really good. I tell my husband all about what’s happening in the story. He was as invested in the story as I was. I really happy how everything turned out. What an exciting conclusion to this love story. It’s sad that intelligent women in those times were not respected. She was a very smart nurse that worked in a major hospital in Boston. She saw how only the patients with money got good treatment. She found an ad in the paper for a Doctor looking for a trained nurse to work in a mountain town. They wrote back and forth and she got on the train to go. The story gets so much better and you will love it! I highly recommend this book and this author!

Just plain well written

Character development, tension, pacing, this story has it all. Faith never disappoints. Nothing silly or superficial. Wonder story telling Faith, but then I an no surprised.

Doctors they say are the Worst Patients

Dolly was a nurse living in Boston and working at the hospital, but she wanted more. The hospital catered to people who could pay. She answered an ad for a nurse in a small town in Colorado. Tom was the Dr. with Jed as his helper. Tom was slowly dieing from a gun shot. But, he did not realize what a observant Nurse and care giver Dolly was. Great Story, my favorite character beside Dolly and Tom was Jed.

Nurses

As a retired nurse and a lover of the rural west, I loved this story. The story was intense and couldn't stop reading it. Thank you for a different kind of story and one I can relate to.

This is the story of frontier Dr. Tom Schaeffer and Nurse Dolly Brooks. Dolly leaves Boston to work with Dr. Schaeffer in Pine Bluff, Colorado. She gets more than she ever dreamed of.

Enjoyed the drive this young nurse had to leave Boston and travel out west.
Her watchful eye gave a desired outcome.

I love historical medical stories! This one was very good! I love reading about early medical practice and looked up carbolic acid and lint.

enjoyable story

I enjoyed the story and the authors writing style. Would have enjoyed a little more romance intertwined throughout the story of Dolly and Tom.
