Ella is on the run from a sadistic stalker who can shift shapes and has a thing for redheads… and she’s his latest obsession
This is the heart of her current situation.
She’s survived a lot of trauma in her eighteen years. But a supernatural creature that shifts its own shape to blend into the environment? Who could be prepared for that?
Ella and her protectors have fled to London and are introduced to UK Hunters whose heritage is surprisingly intertwined with hers. They’ve agreed to help uncover the truth about the Chameleons—or Invisibles, as we now know them—and how to kill something you can’t even see.
It’s a race against time. Can Ella and Eli gather the knowledge they need in time… or will the Invisibles find them first?
So who am I? Well, I'm the crazy girl with an imagination that never shuts up. I LOVE scary movies. My friends laugh at me when I scare myself watching them and tell me to stop watching them, but who doesn't love to get scared? I grew up in a small town nestled in the southern mountains of West Virginia where I spent days roaming around in the woods, climbing trees, and causing general mayhem. Nights I would stay up reading Nancy Drew by flashlight under the covers until my parents yelled at me to go to sleep.
Growing up in a small town, I learned a lot of values and morals, I also learned parents have spies everywhere and there's always someone to tell your mama on you. So when you get grounded, what is there left to do? Read! My Aunt Jo gave me my first real romance novel. It was a romance titled "Lord Margrave's Deception." I remember it fondly. But I also learned I had a deep and abiding love of mysteries and anything paranormal. As I grew up, I started to write just that and would entertain my friends with stories featuring them as main characters.
Now, I live Huntersville, NC where I entertain my family and watch the cats get teased by the birds and laugh myself silly when they swoop down and then dive back up just out of reach. The cats start yelling something fierce...lol.
I love books, I love writing books, and I love entertaining people with my silly stories.
This book is just as good as the rest of the series. I loved this book so much. Who is the Chameleon? What is this evil thing chasing Ella? This evil has a thing for Redheads, is a serial killer and a supernatural. Silas helps as much as he can in this book, for a demon he is not too bad. I love many books by this author and I can't wait to see what comes next in this series! I am excited to see some of Apryl Baker's work come movies, TV or something. I see each book so clearly in my mind.
The previous book ended with the cliffhanger and the start of this one shifts the gang to London and introduces us to UK Hunters.
The gang are still trying to find out what The Invisibles (or Chameleons) are, how they work, and—most importantly—how to kill something you can’t even see.
And yes, this book also ends cliffhanger after some huge reveals. Hoping its not to long before the next book.
I enjoyed this book and this series, this author is definitely on of my favorites. Cliffhangers suck especially when you've been waiting along time to read the next book and it gets more interesting as you read then bam cliffhanger, I'm hooked and invested so , I can't wait
Hate the cliffhanger because I’m impatient and having 2 cliffhangers back to back is kinda upsetting. Lol. But I do love the story! The only reason I gave 4 stars is because of some inconsistencies that caused me to pause. Overall great story and I can’t wait to find out what happens next!
These books are just enough to pull you in and then leave ya hanging, anxiously waiting for the next book. 🤭. It had been awhile since the last one do it took a min for me to recall all they had gone through. But I totally enjoyed getting more of the story from Eli’s point of view and learning more about Zeke and Silas.
