n Draconic Core 2, Dean is sent to another layer in order to establish a second dungeon and complete a mission for Ethria. His mission is to restore the true king to his throne in the city of Mystra. He is approached by the local supportists of the prince with a spell and a plan. They want to use a spell that will make a time barrier, extending a week into 15 years. Dean agrees and proceeds to build his new dungeon to the third level under the spell’s influence and train the members of the prince's party. After emerging from the spell, Dean meets back up with his original dungeon. The dark elves on that layer are planning to have Dean attack the Vault of Infinite Riches in order to cut off the Drouger’s retreat. Dean does so, defeating the first floor and coming in contact with a greatwyrm dealing within the dungeon. Dean persuades it to join him in his other dungeon to help him heal. While he is invading the Vault of Infinite Riches he is invaded in his other dungeon by assassins of the Khan, usurper of Mystra. After returning to his second dungeon he finds the floors in shambles. He lets loose in his avatar form decimating the elven assassins. Prince Bathizar, now a young man due to the effects of the time spell, calls upon Dean to help him reclaim the city of Mystra. Dean does so gladly, crushing the Khan and his forces. Dean then gets a few months of relaxation after completing his missions before being interrupted. The core of Ethria, a prison for Entropy, is breaking, and all dungeon cores are needed.

Good book

Good fun book. Some good action and good characters. Good fantasy elements and litrpg as well. No nudity or sex either.

It does have some profanity though. The swearing always brings a story down a little bit.

One thing that is disappointing is placing this story in the same universe as the author's first books.. It should have been a new universe. This story and its take on the multiverse clashes with the world building done in the author's first series.

So it is a bit confusing to have this story in the same universe. I mean I remember the world spirit portrayed as neutral not a spirit with a mission and rules. Also the world was described as massive but not as worlds within worlds multiverse.

I had always hoped the author's first series would be completed. I no longer want that because this series has changed the look of the world too much The world built in these books is too different to the original series. This makes both series hard to get into because they conflict.

I adore Dean and all his Dragons!

Un-Bee-lievability friggintastic! And yeah there's a Hive, and let me assure that you it isn't a Bee to be found. This seemingly had a disappointing slow start (too crunchy), not like I remembered in the first book. But I soldiered on, 'cause I new that as soon as the quest and meeting up with the young prince, the action would Ignite! And wow! Did it ever! With the magic users abilities, they lock time and begin the job of raising the levels of not only Prince Balthizar, but Dean the young Dungeon, all the young Dragon Bosses, and of course his Spawn. Now with 15 years to spare, they've got the time to spare! And Dean already allies with Balthizar makes a firm familia like bond with him, and his Retinue!
So yeah friggintastic, grab the book and enjoy!!!

this was a great story!

I love me a good dungeon core. And this is probably in my top 5 of all time dungeon core books. Stakes are leveled enough to keep me page turning for hours, and this was a good distraction while at the hospital waiting for the wife to be released.

Highly recommend this series if you like dungeon core, dragons, and golems!

A nimble and exciting adventure

This story is a lot of fun. It juggles multiple interesting plots while still serving its world building. The characters are relatively simple, but entertaining. When things seem a bit confusing, trust the process. It's used well.

Wonderful second book

I don't usually find dungeon core books interesting, but I tried the first one and found it enjoyable. I'm really happy this one continued in that fashion.
