Audiemar Blackmoor was never trying to be a hero. And he was never a villain either. He was a man who built an empire from nothing so the three boys who took his name would never know what it feels like to be powerless again.
Moses. Moose. Kong.
Not bound by blood. Bound by loyalty.
When the only woman they ever loved died, it didn’t just break them. It hardened them. They learned early that love makes you vulnerable. And the Blackmoors don’t do vulnerable.
Moses “Mozzi” Blackmoor lives for control. He takes what he wants and never apologizes for it. When he meets Coast Bellamy, the connection is instant and reckless. Coast is fire, and Mozzi assumes she’ll fall in line like everyone else. She doesn’t. She challenges him. Tempts him. Pushes back. But loving a Blackmoor in this world of African American empire politics, possessive women, and jealous alliances means surviving chaos that never truly sleeps.
Moose Blackmoor is used to being respected the moment he walks in a room. Inari Jacobs doesn’t care about any of that. Their first meeting is sharp words and tension thick enough to cut. But forced proximity turns irritation into heat. Inari’s past is messy. Moose’s present is demanding. What starts as friction becomes something deeper. In this hood love story built on pride and power, they will either build something solid or burn everything down trying.
Kong Blackmoor already buried one love. A widowed father raising two children in a house that feels loud but lonely, he swore he wouldn’t risk his heart again. Then Ayla Jacobs walks in as his live-in chef, bringing warmth into a space that forgot how to hold it. Their connection builds slow. Steady. Real. But in a family where strength means never needing anyone, choosing love feels like rebellion.
Audiemar built his empire to shield his sons from pain, from poverty, from ever feeling small. What he couldn’t protect them from was love.
Because love doesn’t care about power. It doesn’t respect loyalty codes. And it refuses to bow to the Blackmoors.
Perfect for readers who love African American romance, hood empire drama, possessive alpha males, second-chance love, and powerful men who fall hard for the women who challenge them.
From the author who brought you Secret Baby With A Hood Rich Menace, A Hood Savage & A Good An African American Romance, and A Hood Virgin & A Rich Thug, The Sons Of Audiemar delivers loyalty, legacy, and dangerous love that refuses to stay buried.
This book was everything. I think this is going to be my new favorite series by her. She can go so many ways with this. And I can’t wait to see how everything plays out!
S.L. Partee really doesn't miss! This was so good, and now I'm over here needing part 2! Listen, those Blackmoor men are different, and the ladies are all bad in their own way. I was locked into every storyline.
Right now, "A Hood Virgin & Rich Thug" is still my favorite duet by her, and "Saved By A Mafia Boss" is definitely my favorite series… but this one might slide right to the top.
One thing is for certain. Mozzi is definitely a few fries short of a Happy Meal and gives zero f**is about it. What I love about Mozzi is that he embraces and is not ashamed to admit he has Bipolar. He's funny too. Mozzi and his sister wives are a damn mess. I knew once he met Coast. Lin, Gill, and Roni was going to be tossed aside. Coast matches Mozzi energy and her mouth is reckless like his and she can back it up. Having a ex like Sipes. Coast knew she had to stay on point. Especially after shooting Sipes, learning she was pregnant with his baby after finding out he not only cheated but cheated with her roommate and best friend. Coast was a drifter. Meeting Mozzi was unexpected but the energy he's bringing and the pressure he's applying. Broke through her hard shell. Kong is still grieving the loss of his wife and his mother while trying to raise two stubborn, spoiled, and mannish children. Hiring Ayla as his chef/nanny definitely brought life into his father Audiemar house and put a spark back in Kong eyes. However with a woman like Nayelli lurking and her trifling ass momma Phoebe. There's bound to be some drama. Ayla is a sweetheart. She's trying to stay professional but that isn't going to work. There's too much chemistry and sexual attraction between her and Kong. Kong also noticed how his son and daughter have taken to Ayla. Noting they don't give her a hard time at all like they did the previous nannies. Out of the three brothers. Moose is the one I'm concerned about. He has a habit that is an addiction whether he wants to admit it or not. I laughed when him and Inari had words over her young son getting a tattoo. You could tell from the beginning that both of them were smitten with each other. Inari has a past that Moose doesn't know about and Moose pulled a job that he didn't know was connected to Inari. I knew once Inari son father Danilo popped up. He was going to be on some snake shit. Inari has to do what she has to do in order to keep her son Dane and her sister Ayla safe
Oh, okay, so walk through this one with me. Initially, I was told about this series from a fellow reader. We are both avid readers. I read the synopsis and was judging by the length of it. Then I started the prologue and was like, "Meh, I don't think this one is going to keep my attention." However, let me be the one to say that these Blackmoor men are a force to be reckoned with. Now, Moozi is the impulsive one and quick tempered, especially when it comes to disrespect. In his defense, he has witnessed more in life than the average twenty something year old. He does have a heart of gold, and he is smitten for Coast. She is the "I don't have time for the bs type" while yearning for stability. Although in the beginning it seemed like her and Moozi wouldn't mesh in reality, they are the perfect complement to each other. Moozi has a past that he got to clean up before he can fully commit to Coast. His rotation was deep, but it only took one woman to change his trajectory and outlook on his future.
Now ladies and gents, this first installment has introduced us, I believe, to the future of the Blackmoor men. Kong and Ayla are going to have a few hurdles, but it's all going to come out in the wash, in my opinion. I am not sure if Moose and Inari are ready for each of their truths. It's going to be explosive when it all comes out. I am anticipating this next installment, and if you haven't got into this series, I strongly suggest you do.
If you are into slow burn, instant attraction, touch her and die tropes, this is a series for you. Three women. Three men. All different backgrounds but connect by fate. Three men brothers by love not blood, adopted into a prosperous yet danger lifestyle. Used to having whoever whenever meet Three amazing women by chance. One is a virgin, her sister is a former hustler, and the other a free spirit now ready to lay down roots in her hometown. Each person must navigate through what they thought they knew about love and what love really means. Im so interested to follow these couples. Mozzi, the youngest brother appears to be the techy but most unhinged. Moose, the tattoo guy with a nose problem, has to deal with his demons and the women he refuses to take back as he moves on with a woman who is a little too grown for him. Kong, finds peace in the young woman who he hired as a chef. She has come into him and his two children's lives and provided more than food for thought. However, she's too innocent and doesn't want to bring her life down with his demons and mess. Next!!!
In my opinion, all the brothers were intimidated by the women, and I think that’s what made the dynamics interesting. They weren’t the typical women chasing after them or feeding their egos, so the brothers didn’t always know how to handle them.
Hopefully Moose gets that habit nipped real quick because what he’s doing is not it.
They also really need to get rid of Phoebe and Nay. I’m over both of them.
I like Granny Desiree though. She don’t play no games.
Now… how the hell is Moose supposed to redeem himself after what he just did to Nari?
This was a nice introduction to these characters. Now it's a lot of moving parts but none the less I was able to keep up. I am glad we got all of the men real names lol even if they were in a subtle way. I liked how the sisters befriend Coast because they seem to all need it. Each girl has my heart in one way or another and I can definitely understand why the men want them. Now we still got a lot of questions but this was funny amd sweet but also unhinged exactly as the title suggests!!
I loved the introduction to this series. Once again, S.L. Partee has left us wanting more. Each character has some deep ish going on within and I think Kong may be my favorite. I really can't wait to read more about him. I loved Mozzi and Coast's interaction, the banter between the two was great. Not too much was said about Danillo, Nari's bd, but I don't trust him or Nayelli.
These characters are lit…I knew this book was going to be something serious from the name alone…From the moment Audiemar went meet the three boys to adopt them I knew the were going to grow up to be a reckoning separately however together they’re a force not to be messed with…Now that Mozzi and Coast have been shot it’s going to be trouble in Ree Heights…I wonder were shot them and got did they know writer to find them?? Part 2 here I come!!!
Whoosh. Book 1 has a LOT of moving parts. It sets up the characters, their personalities and stories. The author swiftly transitions between the different main characters, there’s 6 of them btw. My favorite scenes are when all six are together because I like how the writing style switches. Like I said, book 1 was a lot. And the ending??!! Pleaseeeeeeeeeeee noooooo. On to book 2 now.
I’m having a time enjoying the Audiemars and the ladies. It’s nice to see that all these couples develop and it’s catching the guys off guard. These three women just shook three of the hardest hearts around. Their hearts are hard for different reasons even though they’re brothers but hard nonetheless. Of course there are entitled and undeserving people surrounding them who don’t accept when things are over. This Lin chick, Roni, Phoebe, Nay and Roni worked all my nerves. Gillian kinda plays back and lets the other two get reamed on pushing the issue. Trini is hurt but definitely don’t want that Audiemar wrath on her. The heist and outside the doctor’s office just altered everything. Need part two with a quickness cause who dunnit?
These brothers were something else and these women out here all want them! They met Coast, and The Jordan sisters and now we are left with one budding relationship, and 2 hanging in the balance! That ending was crazy, we need the next book asap! Great start to great series!
This was a very good read. I loved how the storyline just flowed and the characters were very relatable. This is not your typical hood romance where they all just fall in love . Baby I love the way their grandmother put thing one and thing two in check. The twists were really good but you left me hanging o the ending hope we don’t have a longe wait
I enjoyed this book the author let us get to know each characters and some history information on them all. You see why they act like they do. They are all hurting in some way. Can’t wait to see how or if they can heal each other and if secrets will destroy their relationships.
LORD THESE MEN IS ON ANOTHER LEVEL!!!!!!! Sipes needs to sit down somewhere if messed up. TAKE the L bro, I love how Mozzi been on it since he spotted her and gave him all the attitude. He dropped them without thinking. Now Moose lord done messed up, how will this get fixed? Kong!!! whew is on the fence and I can’t wait til he put her through the mattress
I was sold on reading this series by the visuals alone
Now that I had a hard time in the beginning trying to figure out who was with whom and who was interested in whom, I guess I can happily say that after reading book one, I'm addicted to the series. Yes, and I hate that there's a cliffhanger, but I'm still going to read book two.
Kong and Moose about to go ballistic when they find out what has happened to their brother and Coast. It's about to be an all out war. I hope Mozzi and Coast pull through tho. I'm patiently waiting cause I'm eager to see how this gonna play out.💝💝
S L Partee you never ceases to amaze me. You have done it again. I loved the book. Those Blackmoor men are something else. I love all of them. That ending got my mouth wide open. I can't wait to read part 2. This is most definitely a must read.
Moses, Moose, and Kong had a lot of fun going on, so this was an interesting and funny start to the series. There was so much drama packed in here; I can't wait for book 2!
Not really sure why its called "unhinged" nothing really happened in this book. I was waiting for the shoe to drop and it did on the last page. I feel like the story has potential but needed more development.
I hope she's good and I guess the Audiemar men are very dangerous people. The man she with is the most unpredictable one of all. I bet that hit came from one of his ex girlfriends.
This book was so freaking good! I loved all of the ladies and I want to see how it plays out. I hope they all get a happy ending. I need moose to cut out his extracurriculars
No one can tell a story better than S.L.Partee. She never disappoints. Her female characters are always strong and bring these brothers to their knees. There’s no namby pamby BS this way.
This cliffhanger had me hurrying to get to book 2 because What??!! Like come on. lol This book does start off a bit slow basically just learning the characters and things like that…but the ending is where the action scene start to happen.
If I could use profanity at work right now! Why when you turn the page and think you’re gonna get answers to be continued is right there in your face! I think Mozzie has found his person and just like that, I got to find part two.
