I said from the very beginning that this book was going to get me where it hurt and it did exactly that- in the best possible way. Winning this came at a time when I needed a sign, and that message felt like it was meant to be.

This isn’t simply a memoir about seeing ghosts - it’s about being a little girl who experienced something she didn’t understand, being made to feel different, learning to hide a part of herself, but eventually finding the courage to stop hiding.

If you can take anything from reading this, it’s that you don’t have to understand every part of someone else’s experience to respect it. There were moments that made me smile, moments that broke my heart a little, and moments where I just wanted to reach through the pages and tell that little girl that there was absolutely nothing wrong with her.

I don’t want to take away your experience of reading this for the first time but I do have to share one passage that really resonated with me:

“I’m ready to lay my story bare… in the hope that it might help someone else feel seen. Maybe even healed.”

To Chezzi.

I feel seen. And maybe even a tiny bit closer to being healed. I really hope you know just how powerful that is.

Thank you for being brave enough to tell your story. For opening up such a personal part of yourself and allowing us to see behind the little girl who talked to ghosts.
And thankyou for reminding us that sometimes the things that make us feel weird are actually the very things that make us unapologetically us.

This isn’t your typical memoir - there’s magic in this book.

I’ve lost count of how many times my eyes have popped out of my head and I’ve re-read sentences to check they were real. These things - they just happened to me? How can I be reading this? Am I going crazy?

It truly felt like this book was written for me.
The beauty is that everyone who reads Chezzi’s words will feel this way.

I’m so mind-blown that I would not be shocked if every reader has their own version, with paragraphs that are just for them.

This isn’t a ‘woo woo’ book for us ‘weird’ girls. There’s so much more. If you’re drawn to this out of hope, grief, love, or simply curiosity - there will be a reason.

That’s the magic in it.

Thanks Chezzi for writing such an inspiring and honest self journey of how you rediscovered your wonderful ability of mediumship and embraced it. There were moments of tears and also moments of joy as I read what you and Grant have been through. Your messages from spirit were very moving too. This book lets you know that there is nothing weird or wrong with turning to the spirit world for love and advice. I am inspired to strengthen my connection to spirit and my intuition. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book.

Wowwww!!!!

This was really interesting! Chezzi talks about how she could speak and see spirits as a little girl but then due to society norms and attending a catholic primary school she had to suppress them.

She then talks about her revisiting these and how she encouraged herself to speak with them again!

Such a great read!
