This book will enlighten your mind concerning the events leading up to the second coming and the building up of Zion. It distills in an organized way all of the essential material you need to know. That is why it is called a Handbook. It contains the following - commentary on the Book of Revelation, collections of latter day prophesies, dreams and visions, analysis on current day events, preppers manual etc. The timeline images it contains are very clearly laid out and instructive. This is the book that has been missing, the book that can bring it all together in one summarized overview. It is time to get excited again and get prepared. The perfect book to lend out to warn others. Find answers to many of your Why the urgency to get out of debt? Why follow the prophet? What is the "callout"? What is the destiny of America? What is Zion? What is the "pit" that the Great and Abominable church digs? What happens during the "great tribulation"? What is the timeline leading up to the second coming? What do I need to do to be spiritually and temporally prepared?
Good thoughts. Preparation isn’t just for the second coming... it is for those times that humble us....a lost job, an extended sickness, a family tragedy. Worth the read and consideration.
I can't count how many times I have read thisbook, but each time I get something new from it. This book will help you understand what is coming and how to prepare your family.
I have very mixed feelings about this particular book. It was definitely a lot more "gloom-and-doom" than the last book on the subject I read. A lot more depressing, I must say.
I did like, especially in the beginning, the fact that he was so firm on certain things. Too many people, I think, have gotten too complacent and I like that he stood firm on many subjects. However, the further into the book I got, the more "conspiracy-theorist" he started to sound. I felt like he went overboard with some things, and he started using more scare tactics, which I hate. His firmness reverted to something more harsh, and his ideas began to rub me the wrong way. It began to get overly preachy, which has never been something I respond well to, and he used these blanket statements on things that I disagreed with. For example, one of the big things he talked about was debt. I'm a huge believer in being wise with money and avoiding debt as much as possible. I own my car outright, I have never taken out a personal or business loan, and I don't even have credit cards. The only debt I have is my student loans. This, by the way, is one thing the church agrees is acceptable to obtain any measure of debt for. I am working to get my way out of it, as encouraged by the Lord, but it IS something that we are told is okay to do.
But, according to Bush, if we owe ANYTHING, anything AT ALL -- well, come tribulation days, WE WILL BE IN THE CLUTCHES OF SATAN! It doesn't matter what the Lord has said is acceptable, or if we just got out of college and haven't been able to pay much off yet...who cares? All debt is evil and if we owe even a dime to anyone, we belong to the devil.
Sorry, but that's not okay to tell people. Yes, stress the importance of working your way out of debt, and of not getting into it for all but certain specific reasons. But don't try and intimidate people like that.
He tended to stress his own personal ideas as being obviously accurate, and seemed most to believe that the Lord's chosen way of life for His people is going to be reverting back to the pioneer days, which I do not believe at all. Technology is not an evil, and as civilizations thrive, the Lord gives us many advanced technologies; I don't think Zion is going to be free of all technology or advancements, but Bush seems to think so. Now, yes, there will come times during the tribulation where we will be living more simply for a time. But the idea that it's going to look pretty much exactly like the pioneers is, to me, going too far with it. At this point, we'll be better off than that. We aren't all going to be walking hundreds of miles with all their food storage and emergency preparedness items to get to the Zion camps and locations, I just don't buy it. If the Lord needs His people to relocate, He's going to do so by as many modern means as He can first and foremost, He will make sure to warn the prophets to warn those people BEFORE we lose certain means, not after.
Sorry, I ranted. There were things that seriously bothered me about his ideas in this book. It started pretty good. It ended less so. He began by using things we know to be true, and ended with a lot of speculation he stresses as true but is still only personal speculation.
This book stresses the spiritual preparation that is needed to withstand the trials that are coming, along with a list of physical preparations. I liked the author's commentary on the Book of Revelations and quotes from prophets. The projected timeline fits right along with that suggested in other books I have read. World events are quickly clicking into place. Are you ready for what is to come?
