This was my first book of Sunny del William’s and I absolutely loved the vibe!
I loved their “meet cute” that was really her just not knowing who he was and him thinking she was joking about it!! This allowed the spice to start relatively soon in the book, as well as bring our enemies closer together under a shared secret. Who doesn’t love a forbidden romance 😉
I loved that Todd was willing to do anything to win Jude’s favor back from what he did when they were kids. I loved that he was such a different person who had gone through growth once he was able to understand what his diagnosis was. However, I did feel for him when it appeared he overcorrected a bit and tried to make up his teenage years to everyone at the sacrifice of his own happiness sometimes. I enjoyed him finding a steady place by the end of the book after so many years of turbulence and then overcorrection.
Meanwhile, I identified so much with Jude, busting her ass for a job that didn’t appreciate her, which caused her to rethink the studious and overworked path she was on. She had her one-track mind for her career, trying like hell to climb that corporate ladder and sacrificing herself in the process. She’d lost her light, and through the blessing in disguise of her work situation and through Todd’s never-ending support, she found it again.
The pièce de resistance for me was how incredibly perfect Todd’s AuDHD rep was. While I understand that every neurodivergent person’s experiences are different, I found that Todd was on the nose for me, a fellow AuDHDer. I loved that Williams didn’t shy away from the good and the difficult, and she definitely dove into his AuDHD with a lot of heart. I really loved how supportive Jude was when Todd opened up to her, and especially when he was burnt out and having a cooldown period. Absolute perfection!

Happy Little Accidents by Sunny del Williams was such an amazing read!
I absolutely loved the way Jude and Todd met at the beginning of the book. It was such a fun and memorable way to kick off the story, and I was immediately interested in seeing where their relationship would go.
Both characters were really easy to like, and I especially enjoyed watching their relationship develop throughout the book. I loved the contrast between their chaotic, fun first meeting and the slower-burn romance that followed. Their chemistry was off the charts, and the banter between them was honestly one of my favorite parts. They had such a fun dynamic, and I found myself really rooting for them.
I also really appreciated the AuDHD representation and the way it was handled throughout the story.
The ending was another highlight for me. I really enjoyed how everything came together, and it left me with that warm, satisfied feeling you want from a romance.
I’ll admit that step-sibling romances usually aren’t my thing, so I wasn’t sure what to expect going in. But this one definitely surprised me! It was different from what I normally read, but in the best way, and I’m really glad I gave it a chance.

My Thoughts:
I absolutely enjoyed reading Happy Little Accidents! This was such a cute step-sibling romance full of cozy vibes. In addition to @sunnywritesandstuff masterful character development the dialogue and steam throughout this story was second to none! I adored how Jude and Todd grew into each other leading them to move from enemies to lovers. The fact that Todd loved Jude while all along she thought he hated her was just too sweet. I must say that my favorite part of this story was Jude’s support through Todd’s diagnosis.
Overall, this step-sibling romance was full of exceptional witty repartee and romantic heat. I truly enjoyed this read and recommend it to all.

I received a review copy and these are my thoughts:
Todd has had a crush on Jude since high school and before his father and her mother got married. Struggling with his mental health as a teen, coupled with having a “new sister”, tipped Todd over the edge and into behaviour he isn’t proud of. Now, after not seeing Jude for 7 years and in a strange turn of events, they find themselves having a one-night stand. Forced together for the summer, as Jude comes home for the first time in years, they both promised their parents they would try and get along. Little did they know that more than striking up a friendship, they’d find true love.
Honestly, I was very invested in Todd and Jude’s relationship. The prickly/dislike attitude on her end, paired with his efforts to set the record straight about the past and make amends, made for some sweet and wholesome moments, as well as some really awkward ones! Their flirty banter was mostly made up of insults and jabs (mostly from Jude, who hard a tough time trusting Todd).
The slow burn after their ONS allowed them to gradually build a friendship and safe space to just be themselves and start to heal from the past. But the tension and chemistry between them was off the charts and the spice was spicy once they realised they had deeper feelings for each other. They also shared very sweet moments, where they cared for each other. I enjoyed the AudHD rep and the way that, once Jude learned of Todd’s diagnosis, she was gentle and understanding when he was struggling.
If you’ve never read a step-sibling romance because you’re worried it’s a bit too “taboo” and enjoy romcoms, this could be a good place to start.

This is my favorite book in the Birch Valley series so far! I really enjoyed reading about Jude and Todd's background and the tumultuous relationship they had when they were younger. I felt like Todd's perspective and feelings are very realistic to an autistic experience, and I definitely identified some of those traits that I see in my kids and him, as well as the way he used to shut down. I was really interested to see how Sunny was going to make their hookup happen accidentally, and I think the idea she came up with was unique and pretty funny. I was laughing at all of the communication mix-ups and appreciated how she freaked out afterward.
I thought they had really great chemistry, although I was a little grumpy at Jude for not just giving Todd a chance. It had been seven years, and he obviously wasn't going to act like a spoiled teenager anymore, but I understand why she was hesitant. I really enjoyed seeing them build a friendship and then turn it into something more, and I loved that there was pretty low drama with the parents.
I'm not a huge fan of the stepbrother trope, but I did think this was done pretty well, and I definitely enjoyed it the most. I can't wait to see what comes next. I feel like this series just gets funnier and funnier and spicier as it goes on.

I was hesitant to read a Step-Sibling romance (really not my thing!) buuuut decided to trust Sunny's vision and give it a go!
✨️& then I read the book in 2 sittings and thought about it for days after finishing!✨️
So let me start with...this is NOT a typical step-sibling situation. The main characters did NOT grow up together, they don't call each other's parents mom/dad.
If you are step-sibling trope curious, this book is a very safe and gentle exploration of that specific dynamic.
What I LOVED...
💛 A super duper cozy atmosphere, a cabin in the mountains, in Alberta 🇨🇦
💛 Loooooving & supportive parents
💛 Nods to Bob Ross 🎨
💛 Real laugh out loud/ 🤦♀️🤭 moments
💛 The AuDHD representation. I think this was the first time I have read a book with this rep and felt like OMG THE AUTHOR GETS IT.

This book completely stole my heart. Todd and Jude's story was everything I hoped it would be and more. Their connection felt genuine, heartfelt, and impossible not to root for from the very beginning.
One of my favorite things about this book was the neurodivergent representation. It was clear that Sunny Del Williams took the time to research and thoughtfully portray Todd's experiences, making him feel authentic and relatable rather than reduced to stereotypes. The care put into his character truly shined throughout the story.
The writing was absolutely beautiful, with vivid descriptions that made every scene come alive. I found myself fully immersed in the world and emotionally invested in these characters from start to finish.
Honestly, I loved everything about this book. The characters, the storytelling, the representation, the emotions—it all came together perfectly. If you're looking for a heartfelt romance with amazing writing and characters you'll fall in love with, this one deserves a spot on your TBR.

Several years later, an anonymous encounter between them reignites Todd's feelings. After their initial dalliance, they're soon back to bickering and pointed banter. But as Todd proves himself, Jude learns to trust him, and they become each other's safe space. Watching their relationship grow from dislike, to friendship, to love was such a joy ❤️
For me, Todd was the star of the show. He continuously works on himself, isn't afraid to be vulnerable, and I thought his AuDHD representation was handled so well.

I have loved all of Sunny’s books and this one did not disappoint. It was a cute and cozy small town romance. Jude and Todd are step siblings but they have not been step siblings their entire lives. They were both in high school when their parents married. Jude always thought Todd hated her but in reality he loved her but was mad about the whole step sibling situation. Fast forward seven years and a drunk night brings them together.
Sunny has a way with words that makes this book feel genuine. It wasn’t rushed or forced. It felt natural. The tension between Jude and Todd was so strong. I was routing for them to be together through out the book.

I was dragged in by 'accidentily slept with my step-brother' and I stayed for all the cuteness.
Jude has some bad luck and ends up back home with her mom. Forced together she finally really gets to know the son of her step father, and he does not turn out to be the spoiled, angry playboy she thought he was.
The story of Jude and Todd feels só real that it even got me to forgive it for containing my #1 least favorite trope. Their relation growth feels organic and natural. They fit together, they belong together and I was rooting for a happy ending throughout the whole book! The spice feels like it could happen exactly like this, even the 'accident' it all starts with. And what I liked most of all is that neither character is perfect, and they accept each other the way they are.
If you like cosy romance and second chances I would absolutely recommend this book 💛

Jude and Todd traverse the highs and lows of moving from enemies to lovers with sharp, skillful tongues that will have you laughing and rooting for the from the get-go.

Step-siblings that "hated" each other when their parents got together & their relationship was strained since. Secret was, Todd was in love with her since they were kids & before their parents married. He becomes a bully to her (unintentionally) & he also has undiagnosed AuDHD. Once it is diagnosed, he becomes a different person and works to cope with some episodes. Jude has trouble accepting this new side of him & it worsens when they spend a night together.
I enjoyed the story, but it felt rushed at the end. I also didn't like the nicknames, but understandable for this type of story.

This was another great read by Sunny. The whole step-siblings thing wasn't over done which was nice.
I truly enjoyed the characters and how their neurodivergence was portrayed.
I did however miss the connection to the other characters/town that I did with books one and two.

This title for this book says it all. And I love the title. Todd and Jude had me laughing from beginning to end. I loved the “ooops” of accidentally sleeping with her step brother🤭 the fact that Jude hates Todd the way she does, yet is secretly thinking about him was funny. I loved the mental health reps. They were addressed very well in this story. And of course that spice when the two of them hooked up. I thought this was a really great sweet and spicy story. Both Todd and Jude were so much fun. This is the first time I’ve read this author, and I’ll definitely be reading the others.

Loved Todd and Jude’s story. Step siblings and accidental pregnancy was done so good.

Happy Little Accidents was such a fun, cozy, and surprisingly heartfelt read. This was my first book by Sunny del Williams, and I absolutely loved the vibe from beginning to end.
One of my favorite things about this story was Todd and Jude's meet cute—or more accurately, Jude not realizing exactly who Todd was and Todd thinking she had to be joking. That misunderstanding created the perfect setup for an accidental hookup, a shared secret, and plenty of tension once they realized exactly who they were to each other.
Todd completely won me over. What could have easily been a character readers dismissed became one of the most lovable parts of the story. I loved seeing how much growth he'd experienced since high school and how determined he was to make amends for the mistakes of his past. My heart hurt for him at times because it felt like he spent years trying to make up for who he used to be, sometimes at the expense of his own happiness. Watching him finally find balance, acceptance, and confidence in who he was became one of my favorite parts of the book.
Jude was equally relatable. She spent so much of her life pouring everything into a job that never truly appreciated her, sacrificing herself in the process while chasing career goals that no longer made her happy. Watching her rediscover herself, reclaim her joy, and realize there was more to life than work was incredibly satisfying. I loved how Todd quietly supported her every step of the way.
The chemistry between these two was fantastic. While the story starts with immediate attraction and spice, the romance itself develops at a slower pace as they learn to trust each other and move beyond the hurt of the past. Their banter was fun, their tension was undeniable, and I loved watching them build a genuine friendship underneath all the attraction.
One of the strongest aspects of this book was Todd's AuDHD representation. Sunny del Williams handled it with so much care, honesty, and heart. The story never shied away from the challenges Todd faced, but it also highlighted his strengths and growth. I especially loved how supportive and understanding Jude became once she learned more about his diagnosis and what he needed when he was struggling.
This book perfectly balances humor, heart, spice, and emotional growth. If you've been curious about trying a step-sibling romance but have been hesitant because of the trope, this is a fantastic place to start. Todd and Jude weren't raised together, and their story feels far more focused on healing, friendship, forgiveness, and finding love where you least expect it.
Cozy, charming, heartfelt, and full of growth, Happy Little Accidents was an enjoyable read from beginning to end.

Chapter one is title “Don’t judge me, please” and as appropriately as its title, Chapter one starts with questionable decisions, those that involve alcohol, copious amounts of alcohol, a let loose tipsy night, on the prowl for distractions, sans contact lenses, (she lost them in the sweaty dancing process) Jude is letting loose, trying to blow of that dreaded anticipation of a month with her step monster of a stepbrother (no blood relation, just Jude’s married mom to Todd’s dad when they were teenagers, Todd was truly beastly to Jude until she moved out, like beastly, maybe wolf-ish, the Big, Bad Wolf) back home in Birch Valley, so Jude sans contacts(remember) and inhibitions, meets just what she needs to cure her s*x crankiness, from what she can tell, he’s hot, tall and just her type…
So she jumps all in for the hottest night of her life, but come first morning light she realizes her hot hookup was none other than TODD, her monster of a stepbrother, ahhhh!!!!
Now these two are forced to coexist, figure out the weirdness of an already weird relationship and fall in love or just both stay alive…Maybe 🤔

Happy Little Accidents is a step sibling romance told in dual POV. It follows Todd and Jude who were not raised together and, despite Jude’s numerous attempts, become a one-sided loathe to love relationship.
This took a bit of time for me to get into due to some of the verbiage in the dialogue throughout the book. It is less used and more digestible as you read along which I still wanted to. They traverse a lot of miscommunication rooted in ignorance of an AuDHD diagnosis and some repressed unrequited love.
It was a spicy one after quite a bit of a slow burn following their initial tumble that set off the rest of the story. I loved Todd’s dad and Jude’s mom. They were both great parental figures, albeit a little absent at times with work. Jude and Todd’s dynamic was good and bolstered by the dual narrative (I’ll admit I am a sucker for it). I loved that it didn’t just retell scenes from his POV but was always a continuation of the story.
The book delves into what goes into living and understanding AuDHD quite a bit on page. It also has transgender and sapphic representation. It highlights mixed and non traditional families as well. There is so much representation here from so many angles and that was genuinely wonderful to see especially with it not just being surface level but actually going into depth of those experiences, struggles, and lifestyles.
Unfortunately I don’t think this book was for me as I couldn’t get past my issue with the semantics throughout but there were so many elements I did enjoy and many others will too and even more.

Ok so just a reminder, yes they are step siblings but their parents married when they were in high school literally right before Jude (FMC) was headed off to college and she stays away for 7 years. During that time Todd (MMC) was what appeared to be your typical angry teenager because of divorced parents, in reality it was a scream for help & support and a much needed diagnosis (ADHD & Autism). Jude comes back to visit, while at a party she gets drunk takes out & promptly loses her contacts. Hits on a boy then takes him home.... I think we all know what happened next and who was involved. Jude is an awesome FMC, she's completely relatable with giving her all to a job that didn't appreciate her and that she wasn't in love with anymore. She's also very independent and strong minded. Todd is in my top 10 book boyfriends for sure, he's so sweet, kind, and caring. He went through a lot in high school and yes he wasn't the nicest to Jude but there were reasons and once you learn them you just want to hug him. He has AuDHD and lots of sensory issues, I love that about this book as this is my whole fam, and the representation is awesome. I loved how they slowly learned each other. When they explained their past especially when Todd explained why he did certain things to Jude, her taking that information in and really getting to know the real Todd not just the one she made up in her head. Their banter is wicked fun and the chemistry is awesome. The storyline is great, completely believable, and so wholesome. I will say I would've read this book with or without the spice the writing was that good. I'm not saying to take it out, it like a happy bonus to the story.

Let me just say they’re step siblings but are not related or grew up together. Now that’s out the way 😂 this was a spicyyyyyyyyyy one! A bit taboo but not really if you don’t mind it or can look past it. It’s not going to be everyone’s cup of tea but I did enjoy it. That whole plot grabbed my attention to say the least like step siblings?? Excuse me what is going on here? Well Jude and Todd met one night and ending up having a one night stand but didn’t even know it was them. It was almost like a stranger. Jude has always hated Todd because of his behavior and the way he acted before from what her mom has told her. It was giving fuck boy vibes from him which is one of the reason she disliked him and never really interacted with him. But their parents got married and they never really lived together since Jude went away but decided to come back for work and she has to work with Todd and Todd’s dad company. So they’re forced to get along and work together. Well you know how forced proximity works. All that time spent with one another always leads to something. Besides the spice what I enjoyed was getting to know the characters. Especially Todd, he went through a lot so being able to see the character growth was enjoyable. They both grew throughout the story. Their chemistry was off the charts. One thing I could’ve done without was the nicknames for each other wasn’t much of a fan of those.
Overall it was a good quick paced, entertaining spicy read. Do check your trigger warnings as this might not be for everyone

Todd was the quintessential angry teenager, which included coping in questionable ways. Ways that made his stepsister hate him.
While they’re under the same roof, they promise their parents they’ll try to get along. Todd has always wanted to get along; he’s had a crush on her since before their parents got together. Jude has to learn to let some of her walls down and get to know the real Todd. Their relationship is full of good banter, good spice, and chemistry that surprises both of them at first. I really enjoyed this, especially the portrayal of Todd’s AuDHD struggles and the way Jude accepted him instead of judging him for it. Okay - I am going to preface this with the fact that I typically don't enjoy the step-sibling trope, having grown up in households with step-siblings. However, I appreciate that the author makes it very clear that they did not grow up together, and actually spent very little time living together.
NOW! I love a man who yearns, and yearn Todd does. He's had a crush on Jude since he was younger, and it never really went away. Seeing how Jude and Todd navigate getting to know each other now that both are older and more mature was very sweet. The portrayal of Todd and his AuDHD was very representative of how my relationship with someone who is AuDHD was. It was an excellent portrayal, and I love the representation of the people around Todd and Jude also.
I definitely recommend giving this a read if you enjoy the tropes in this book!

Sunny's got a knack for writing relatable, witty, and realistic characters for her novels!
There were times I was kicking my feet, giggling, and at times I had to step away because I was so giddy at some of the awkward and cutesy moments.
The gradual buildup into trust and friendship into love happens so organically, it makes this book hard to put down.
And the spice. *mwah*. Chef's kiss.

To start this review off let my just state that their "meet cute" will hands down be one of my all time favorites, ever! This is a step-siblings to lovers romance and i loved every minute reading this. Their first meeting was so fun and full of chaos but to see their relationship develop and change and experience the slow-burn between them was very enjoyable! The banter between these two had me giggling out loud while reading and i really felt the chemistry written between these two characters. The AuDHD representation was done very tastefully and handled really well through out the story! And the ending was such a memorable one! I love how it all came together and left me feeling their happy every after! It truly left me with that warm, satisfied feeling you want from a romance!
