𝙾𝚞𝚝 𝚘𝚏 𝙲𝚘𝚗𝚝𝚎𝚡𝚝 𝚀𝚞𝚘𝚝𝚎 : As it turns out, getting your guts rearranged really does wonders for your mental health.
𝗕𝗹𝘂𝗿𝗯 : If I could say one thing about this book OTHER THAN it being absolutely amazing, it would be EMOTIONAL DAMAGE. Emotional freaking damage times seven.
These are some of the best MMCs I’ve met in a while. They’re protective and broken and strong and powerful and a family. They’re perfect for Nyx in so many ways - SO many. Even in the ones that she doesn’t know.
In this book, we add Ambrose to the mixture. Oh, he’s her professor. Did I mention that?
Quite a few of the guys have some groveling to do in this book. & let’s just say that they don’t do the best job.
Nyx has had a rough life, and college hasn’t been a walk in the park so far. She’s gone from being a nobody to a somebody. However, she’s hated. As her power grows, she uncovers secrets - some that she shares and some that she doesn’t. She loses friends. She has a why am I even here moment. I mean, can we blame her?
But running away from her problems isn’t really an option. Instead she finds herself smack dab in the middle of them.
To survive, she must rely on and learn to work with those that she doesn’t trust or even really like. Can she learn to believe in them? Can they keep the powers that be away from her? Will secrets break them? & at the end of the day, even in an okay ending is anyone ever really safe?

Zara does not miss with keeping you on your toes! Read this as an ARC reader and let me tell you. I can’t get enough of Nyx and her story. I can’t wait for what’s next for her and the gang. Loved it from beginning to end!

If you loved the first book, you'll love this one. Zara delivers AGAIN. It is complex, spicy, heartbreaking, and funny all in one. Cannot recommend enough if you love the genre!!

The world building goes deeper and the plot thickens in this one. The love entanglements get more complicated. A satisfying ending that still leaves you wanting more!
