Comfortable read

Andrew Cunningham has the ability to write in a style which makes it easy and pleasant to read. His style has a certain flowing quality to it, like a relaxed chat with a friend.

It was nice to revisit the world of time traveling again and the Yestertime series (I've read all four previous books) and honestly didn't expect a fifth installment at all, after the fourth was nice but not really necessary.

This one is at times funny, a bit mysterious, some violence tossed in and interesting in it details, which makes a good point, at least to me, to convey the sense of being in another time.

I've enjoyed the book and read it within three days.

I'm also not a native English speaker and with some books by other authors I have to look up so many words that it's becoming cumbersome and takes me out of the reading and immersion. With Cunningham's books this is hardly the case. I can at times go on for pages without looking up one single word. I don't know if this means that his choice of words is "easy and simple" or that I am just more familiar with American English as I was an exchange student in the US for one year almost twenty years ago.
Whatever the reason, I like it a lot and makes reading his books very enjoyable (I've read the whole Yestertime series, Deadly shores and the Alaska mystery series, which is a total of 10 books written by him and liked all of them).

So why only 4 stars then? Well, five stars is for truly extraordinary books and this is not one of them. It's good but not great, also the ending, for my liking, was a bit too rushed (before the author had spent dozens of pages describing short travels, later the trip from Mexico to West Virginia is dealt with within the span of only a couple of pages)!

The finale and the solution for the problem of the fracture was quite simplistic and short, meaning it was underwhelming and not what I had expected.

So five books read in my recent holiday break and this series peaked my interest from the start as being most suitable for the relaxing time I had planned.
Firstly, I would like to say that I enjoy time travel theories, after all have we not at times all had a that un explained feeling, that de ja vue moment or simply wondered ‘how did I know that’? The continuing stories from book one to the final book five, are well connected, progressive and easy to read. The links and explanations of both travelling forwards and backwards in tine are well thought out. The characters are believable, evident and well interpreted into the varying extremes of each of the situations and dilemmas that progressively occur. The bottom line is that I am now thinking that this may all be true! Escapism at its best.

As with all the book's in this series, Mr Cunningham's outdone himself.

This book carries the series on perfectly, a much needed addition and hopefully a path to a continuation which I hope will happen with the series.
Very well laid out and still works well with the previous books, all extremely good.
Although Angela is only in book at near the end it probably the most heartfelt part.
Most of the book is fast and the great Mr Gates is back to help mellowed a bit but still awesome.
Great book continuation and worth every penny, a must read if you've read previous 4.

Yestertime Fracture fan

I just finished the last book of the Tested time series (book 5). I loved it and highly recommend it to anyone who loves time travel books. I highly recommend reading the other 4 books first though.

Very good

A continuation of time travel for A few old characters, and some new ones being introduced. It's been a while since book 4, and I must admit, I couldn't remember who was who at the beginning. I think maybe a recap, at the beginning of the book to refresh memories would be a good idea.

A Thrilling Time-Travel Adventure!

The Yestertime Fracture is a gripping, intelligent time-travel thriller that combines high-stakes suspense with engaging characters. The story is fast paced, weaving together multiple timelines, growing dangers, and the unsettling possibility that time itself is beginning to fracture. A smart, entertaining addition to an exciting series. Highly recommend it!

Bookm five in the series and did not disappoint. Good stories. Good characters. Some old faces and new ones.

Leaves an opening for more stories but not sure there will be.

Could have written even more details but that may just be me.

Amazing read

Author Andrew Cunningham has Written another excellent book in the Yestertime series. I have enjoyed all of books tremendously. I wish I could travel back in time and read them again as new books. I seldom give 5 stars, but this is well-deserved.

The characters are likeable, the plot twists but so much that you cant follow it

Good job Andrew, you kept the story going. And left it open to continue. Now in 1976 America, too bad they can't change history that definitely needed changing!

Good series

I enjoyed this entire series. The characters were engaging and the sci-fi made sense. A prequel series might be interesting
