Requiem completely surprised me. I expected a fun YA fantasy adventure, but what I got was a powerful story about guilt, forgiveness, and learning to live with your mistakes. Élan is one of the most relatable fantasy protagonists I've read in a long time. Her struggles felt genuine, and her journey toward self-acceptance hit me hard. The world-building was immersive, and the Scourge added a constant sense of dread. I couldn't put it down.
