She’s a witch hiding from her past…until an angelic warrior Falls into her life.
Judith spends her days at a rural, isolated coven of witches as the local healer, never thinking about the past she ran from a decade ago. She’s built a good life for herself using the magic the goddess blessed her with to heal those around her. Until one day, an angel falls from the heavens and lands at her feet, near death.
Raphael, archangel and nephew to the king of the seraphim, wakes in an unfamiliar world with torn wings and no way to get home. His duty demands he find a way, despite the beautiful human with a soft voice and gentle hands urging him to rest.
As he heals, neither Judith nor Raphael can ignore the fiery attraction growing between them. Judith is no stranger to secrets, but now she has another: if the world learns about Raphael’s existence, it would bring danger to her coven’s doorstep. But some secrets aren’t meant to be kept. And now Raphael has to choose: protecting the woman he loves, or obeying his vow.
This paranormal romantasy novella is a free prequel to the AngelFall Series, perfect for fans of magic, fallen angels, fated mates, and otherworldly lore.
Thank you Anna for an e-arc of this book! I’ve been an arc reader this whole series so far and have thoroughly enjoyed all of them 😊
This is a prequel novella to the series but is being published after books 1&2. Do you NEED to read books 1&2 first? Technically no. But honestly, I would read those books first because I feel like it leads into the story of this prequel well and then this book is going to lead us right back into who book 3 is going to follow and the events that are going to happen. I think worlds are going to collide (no pun intended) in book 3 that bring together the story happening in books 1&2 and this prequel.
Hundreds of years before the events of book 1, Raphael first fell into a new world. Broken and hurt beyond belief, it’s the sheer chance that Judith is the one to find him. With her magical healer abilities, she’s able to heal him. Running from a past of her own, Judith grows fond of this strange new man with angel wings. As they learn each other’s language, they work to figure out how Raphael fell through the worlds, in hopes to get him back home. But when her past comes back to find her and his return home is imminent, Raphael has a choice to make: follow his oath or his heart.
I loved the conversations between these two, with trying to figure out each other’s languages. Judith is this kind soul and listens and learns all she can.
We have a little spice in here 🌶️ but lots of what Raphael would say is his favorite, kisses 😘
I’m hoping to see these 2 again in book 3!
Book 1: Seraph’s Tears Book 2: Seraph’s Blade Book 3 (due out 6/11/26): Seraph’s Silence
As a reader of the first two books in the series, this was a lovely prequel to Book 1 & 2 (Seraph’s Tears & Seraphs Blade).
It has such a unique background story and it gave insight into to my curiosity from the storyline itself. It tells the story of Raphael, a fallen warrior angel, who is discovered by Judith, a witch healer with a sweet disposition and a heart of gold, as they both teeter on the brink of life-changing choices that exert a powerful influence over them.
Without spoiling the plot, their journey, set against a backdrop of adversity and a sweet, slow-burning attraction, is a captivating and satisfying experience. So come discover a world of magic, fated mates, and supernatural legends in this enchanting paranormal romance novella.
Archangel's Vow is the prequel in the Angelfall series by @annaevernightbooks
I've read books two and three and was curious about the angel with black wings. This novella answered all my questions. I loved it. I loved Judith's sweet nature and devotion to caring for the falling angel, Raphael. I loved the slow burn and there moment Judith qas in danger, Raphael sprung into action.
I highly recommend this novella. You don't have to read Seraph's Tears and Seraph's Blade, books two and three respectively to enjoy this prequel but I'm glad I did. If you love angel romance, filled with yearning, fated mates, and a protective MMC marshmallow, then this series is for you!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5 stars) I absolutely loved going back to where it all began. Seeing how the angels first came to be on Earth was fascinating—and knowing he could have gone home but chose not to? Ekkkk, that had me hooked.
Watching the love story between Judith and Raphael unfold was just beautiful. It felt emotional, intense, and completely captivating.
The length was perfect, and it kept me engaged the entire time—I honestly didn’t want it to end and was left wanting more. I can’t wait for the next book of the series to come out.

Anna Evernight has never done me wrong…. And isn’t starting now! This is the prequel to the Angel Fall Series. I absolutely adored reading about Judith’s and Raphael’s meeting and how their relationship blossomed into something much much MORE! The ending had me clapping so hard! This is a decent quick read/ long novella. You definitely need to add this to your TBR! I promise you won’t be disappointed!!
I loved this novella, It answered so many questions about that mysterious first seraph to earth and it was SUCH a heartwarming story. I loved reading about their journey, the FMCs past and the endless selfless decisions made for and through love.
If you haven’t picked up one of Anna’s books yet… what are you even doing!?
Unusual love story but reactions of Raphael and Judith are wonderfully real. The possible mating of an angel and a human is unheard of but I as a reader wanted this union to occur. Wonderful writing and great story. Although I received a free review copy, my opinions are my own and freely posted.
Walking across the beach near her coven, Judith's morning starts like any other, until she discovers Rafael, a warrior archangel who fell through the veil between their worlds, within an inch of his life.
The novella we’ve been waiting for! We’ve danced around these two characters in the first two books so it's wonderful to finally meet them. Conflicted between returning back to his home and staying with Judith as their attraction slowly blooms, Rafael must make a choice as Judith's past catches up to her.
This book takes place long before Garbriel and his battalion fall into the world. Its seamless integration reveals much about the storyline and our favorite winged warriors.
This prequel to the AngelFall series was so enjoyable as we learn how it all began. Raphael falls to earth and Judith, a witch, starts to heal him. Their bond was so sweet. But someone from Judith's past arrives to cause trouble. A great read.
🪽I received an ARC from the author so the thoughts are my own 🪽
The Angelfall series must have some sort of crack in it because I have ate up every book! 🤣 I think Judith and Raphael has to be my favorite couple so far. Archangels Vow will pull at your heartstrings so be prepared.
This is a prequel to book 1 and 2 (Seraph’s Tears and Seraphs Blade). It helps to answer so many questions and is a heartwarming story about Raphael and Judith’s beginnings. I loved this story. So glad Anna wrote this to add another layer to the Angel Fall story.
This was an interesting storyline and intriguing to read. The characters and the way they were written. Their connection to one another. The trials they face. All kept the pages turning until the end came sooner than I expected. Great read.
COMPLETELY OBSESSED. That is the best way I can describe my feelings toward this book and this series as a whole. I will most definitely be telling everyone to read this along with rereading it myself. Cannot get enough of it.
This booked has a feel of ACOTAR. The whole story had me thinking could the FMC and MMC be building a relationship to be more intimate? I should hop these two have a future story together..
I just loved the connection, respect and love between Raphael and Judith and can't wait to know more about them and the remaining characters in book 3!
3.25 ⭐'s Absolutely loved getting the back story of Raphael and how everything began. The Archangels Vow is the prequel to the Angelfall series, if you haven't read the other book you won't be lost, but I highly recommend starting the other books to get the most of the storyline. I loved Judith's strength and self sacrificing nature was just beautiful. The bond that they created was tender and sweet. This series has definitely recommendation from me!
