This anthology is chock-full of thought-provoking stories! from dragons to robots to a fortune telliing machine (think, the Tom Hanks movie, Big).
It's a themed anthology, and my one wish coming away from it is for the editors to have included an explanation of the theme. There always seems to be an object, and a connection to the past... I think? I would love to have a better understanding of the objective.*
Having said that, I enjoyed the read very much. My favourite story was HL Bernabe's contribution, "The Cabin." Runners up are "The Coalescence of Magic" by Taylor Metzler, and "Clock Full of Stars," by BJ Sikes.
It was tough to choose favourites!

*The copy I read didn't include a book description. When I found the book online and read the book description I had a better understanding of the theme, so that helped fulfill this wish!

A great set of short stories

An anthology of 12 stories by different women authors, admittedly I'd only read books by one of them before now (S.D. Huston).

These are all very short but interesting stories from the point of view of women in different worlds and in very different settings. There's a hidden inheritance, a ghost trying to connect with her family, breaking a vampire's curse, a hex catcher, a fortune teller, a ship wreck, a magician's clock, awakening a dragon and more.

I received an ARC copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Received as an ARC, I am leaving my honest review. This is a fantastic collection of short stories that are well written, fast paced with magic, danger and the unexpected that will keep the reader engaged and entertained. It is the perfect collection for people who are short in time, but love a fast moving, nail biting storyline. It is also a great way to introduce me to new authors, and remind me of others who are familiar and why I love their creations. I highly recommend this collection.
